I really like that they can text me information, including the quote and pictures of what needs to be fixed. Then I can approve or disapprove the repairs. I had recently picked up a 2015 forester and a few dash lights would pop on from time to time after I took ownership of it. I could get them to turn off, but it kept happening. These gentlemen spent some time investigating and fixed the dummy light issue and something else as well; then gave me the keys back and told me to drive it around for a couple days and let them know if the original issue was fixed. After 4 days, almost 200 miles on paved and gravel roads I returned to report the issue was solved and I wanted to clear what I owed. The price was much lower than I expected. Awesome customer service that is rarely seen anymore. I will definitely be coming back for any other issues and be sending them business from friends and family.

First time customer, had a super service experience with Golden Brake on Pines Rd. Thursday 10/16/25, about 8:30am, walked into the tiny waiting room, it was full, with 5 or 6 customers seated or standing and one at the counter completing a transaction, , hadn’t made an appointment, waited maybe 5 minutes for my turn to speak to “Alex” at the counter. Shared with Alex our ’12 Subaru Outback had a recurrent “sinking brake pedal”, even after replacing the master cylinder/bleeding the brakes just a few weeks earlier, asked him if he could take a look at it that day, as we had to leave for Seattle the next morning for my Wife’s sister’s funeral, he said “sure, we’ll see what we can do, leave it here and we’ll call you with what we find. At 9:48am Scott called saying he thinks it’s a faulty ABS hydraulic unit. Called Alex, he agreed with the analysis, saying this year Outback notorious for bad ABS, and that if he can find a timely replacement in town, possibly have the car ready that day. At 1:36pm Alex called me, car is ready! Can’t thank these guys enough, good job, and reasonable price too!

We took our car in to get the brakes checked and they found that the problem was something else entirely! One of their employees recognized a problem unique to our make and model of car and we were able to take the car to a mechanic to get it fixed that same day. On the first of Nov 2025 I brought my 2007 Passat in to Pine St G.R.B. for numerous brake and suspension problems at 8 AM. Alex got me right in and Ryan did an OUTSTANDING job getting my car repaired and road ready by 12:57. Ryan removed and replaced both front lower control arms, rear sway bar bushings, both rear shocks, both front struts, rear brake pads and rotors, performed an alignment, overall inspection and brake fluid condition check. During the maintenance Ryan noticed my booster vacuum lines were cracked at all ends, he removed and replaced them which also cleared a check engine warning light, Yeah! Everyone there was friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. Costs were extremely easy on my wallet for every action. Thank you Alex and Ryan for such professional attitude and service. The wait was also very easy in the comfortable seating in the customer check in room. I will tell everyone I know where to head to for their brake and suspension needs.

I would not recommend this organization. I brought my truck in for a front-end alignment, after dropping off my vehicle I received a call from Golden Rule stating that I needed the front end completely rebuilt (new tie rods ends on both sides, upper and lower ball joints on both sides, control arms, etc.) and that my rear shocks were leaking oil, they quoted me $2800 to fix the problems. I Informed them that the only thing I wanted done and would pay for is a front-end alignment, they claimed the truck could not be aligned as the front end was too far gone. I declined to have them “fix” the problems, picked my vehicle up, and dropped it off at Les Schwab tires. They aligned the truck, and confirmed what I already knew, there was absolutely nothing mechanically wrong with the front-end or the rear shocks. I contacted the Upper Management/Ownership of Golden Rule and informed them what had happened; they initially defended the quote then offered me $100 to bring my vehicle back so they could “asses” Les Schwab’s work. Why would I ever bring a vehicle back to Golden Rule? So, they could quote me even more money to fix more nonexistent problems? Be Warned. Update: In response to the owners comment I'm not accusing Golden Rule of being dishonest, THEY ARE DISHONEST. A) I never received any pictures B) They initially claimed I needed the entire front end replaced, then that a bushing was cracked, now they state a portion was missing...damage to a rubber bushing in a upper control arm does not equate to $2800 in repairs! C) They also claimed that my rear shocks were leaking oil, which is one of the oldest dishonest mechanics tricks in existence. D) NONE OF THE CLAIMS THEY MADE ARE TRUE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE: I just want to say that for years I have heard the ads for Golden Rule Break but thankfully have not had to use them until this week. Horrible squeaking in the front end of my Jeep. Well I thought, "Time to try out this ad I have listened to for 20 years". Emailed in last Thursday that I was hoping to get in Monday morning at 8am. I was called right at 8am Friday morning and was scheduled 8am Monday! I dropped off my jeep and by 11:21am I had my email with the list of all I need to get fixed. I was not sure if they would get it done in one day but sure enough IT WAS! I went in to pick up my Jeep and Kelly WHO IS AWESOME. Said that some of the labor had overlapped and he lowered the price another $110 dollars. They didn't have to tell me that BUT THEY DID. I will never go anywhere else! This place was FOR REAL. Thank you for being honest and so quick so I was not without my vehicle. You definitely lived up to your AD.

Very happy with Golden Rule Break. After the local Ram dealership quoted me a price for rear brakes and shocks I decided to go to Golden Rule for a second opinion. They said the work needed to be done but quoted me about 30% less to do the work so I had it done and am very happy. Crazy thing is, they ordered the parts through the same Ram dealership and it was still 30% cheaper. I'm very happy will go back again when needed. Thank you Golden Rule
