Went in for transmission service when I got it back it was leaking bad . Left it there for 5 days or so got it back still leaking took it to a transmission shop they said there was 2 bolts on the pan that were different style and one of them broke thru the case causing me to have to purchase a whole new 12000$ trans

I’ve been going to Grease Monkey for routine oil changes and appreciated their speed and convenience — until now. I’m writing this because I feel extremely let down, and frankly, unsafe due to their oversight. Leading up to a major cross-country move, I trusted them to make sure my vehicle was roadworthy. They recommended ~$1,770 in repairs — new brakes, brake lines, and a radiator — all of which I approved. Just before leaving(Sat July 5th), I brought it in again and they suggested an ~ $80 headlight restoration. That was the final check before I hit the road, supposedly with a “safe” vehicle. Yesterday (Tuesday July 8th) Less than a week later, I learned my driver-side leaf spring shackle is almost completely rusted through (see attached photos) — something any technician working under the car should have seen immediately. A failed shackle on the road could have destroyed my vehicle or caused an accident. Even worse — this wasn’t the only thing they missed. I took my car to Midas and received a detailed inspection report with nearly $3,000 in urgent safety issues, all clearly visible underneath. Now I’m being forced to buy a new vehicle mid-move, out nearly $2,000 I spent trusting Grease Monkey to keep me safe. That money could have gone toward a down payment on something reliable. Instead of being told my car was too unsafe to repair, I was sold parts. I’m not writing this out of anger — I’m writing this because I don’t want anyone else to end up in my situation. If your shop is getting under cars, you have a responsibility to flag dangerous conditions, not just recommend parts to install. I trusted your shop with my safety. That trust is gone.

I visited this area a few weeks ago. My tire pressure was low and I needed to drive back to Denver the same day. I showed up and was immediately approached by Preston. I explained my brief concern as the front left tire keeps losing air lately (probably a small leak somewhere). He checked the air in all four tires, and offered to take a look at the tire(s). Even though I declined and knew I could make it back to Denver, Preston was extremely helpful, outgoing, and kind. Based on that first impression, I would definitely return to this location.

My vehicle’s mileage just rolled over 25K. I’ve been taking my vehicle to the dealership for service, and while the maintenance work has always been satisfactory, the administration side has been less than stellar. I was near the Grease Monkey @ 687 Horizon Dr. and decided to go there for my service. I came at the right time as their bays were empty. I had an oil change done and swapped out the filter as it was pretty dirty. All my fluids were checked and topped off, and all other necessary items (tires, wipers, belts and hoses, etc) were all checked. They completed everything efficiently and were done in under 30 minutes. I was especially happy that they kept me apprised of what my vehicle needed and actually showed me the filter and how dirty it was. I would highly recommend this business for reliable oil changes and service.
