I just want to confirm what others have said about the terrific service Kamiran provided when I had to have the door of my Civic replaced. He was exceptionally thorough in going through the cost estimate including the time it would take for the repairs. Not only was the car ready when he said it would be but it was nicely cleaned and looking like a brand new car. I went in over a month back because I was rear ended by a Corvette while driving on Washtenaw Ave. It happened on a Friday night so I was needing to find a place Saturday that could take a look at the car, and one of the few places open was Great Lakes. I called them right as they opened and immediately talked to Kam. It was my first time ever getting hit so I wasn't exactly sure how the whole process would work from their side and insurances side. But Kam did a great job explaining and reviewing my car initially and even pointed out things I hadn't even noticed were wrong(ie. When I was rear ended I drove over a curb and Kam pointed out that my front tires were misaligned). Throughout the process whenever I was looking for an update I would call and I always got a response and never needed to wait. I would highly recommend going to Great Lakes if you have any needs as far as getting your car repaired. Great customer service, extremely knowledgeable, and they made good time repairing my vehicle.

I was given the name of this shop from a trusted mechanic, and wow, I will never go anywhere else. Even though this shop is not a "preferred" shop through my State Farm insurance, Kam made the experience as easy as possible for me. The only thing I had to do that I would not have had to do with a "preferred" shop was to take a few pictures of my car, forward two documents via email, and write a check. It did not cost any more. It was very worthwhile to me to support this fantastic independent business, and they made it worthwhile for me as well. They even gave me a ride to the rental car office a mile down the road! The repairs look great. And they vacuumed and dusted the inside of my car--and it was a mess! I was highly impressed.

Great Lakes repaired my vehicle over a month ago, and I am very happy: 1. The vehicle is running great and looks better than before the collision. 2. They worked smoothly with my insurance (State Farm). 3. They were fast -- one business week of repairs (plus the insurance claims process). The work was completed and the car returned in less time than State Farm's preferred 'Select Service' provider quoted to even start repairs. Do not just settle for your insurance's preferred provider! 4. They were more than fair on pricing. At two different stages of the process (once for the original estimate and once during the repairs), they offered me significant discounts. It was very clear they were passing savings along to me that I suspect a less forthright shop would have pocketed. 5. Last but not least: they were easy to work with. Mellow, even-keeled, respectful, professional.
