Initially I had a bad experience due to verbiage not being clear on the Groupon I had purchased. The owner, Ben, contacted me within two hours to rectify the situation. He even went as far to track down my phone number that I called in on to try and reach me. Ben apologized for the situation and assured me things would be made right. I applaud Ben for caring about his business and making sure the customer is taken care of the right way. Dan installed my new windshield and did a great job! He kept in contact with me throughout the day to tell me when he would be installing my windshield. He was nice enough to meet me at my house so I didn't have to stick around work. Dan had my new windshield installed in no time and even went out of his way to remove my iPass velcro sticky tape off the old windshield so I could put it on my new windshield. Dan does excellent work and I would highly recommend him to install your next windshield with Great Lakes Glass. A big thanks to Ben and Dan for making this a positive experience for me!

UPDATE~~~. My review was promptly and properly taken care of. I am pleased with the outcome of this situation ~~<. DO NOT GO THERE Hi my daughters car had a cracked windshield. So word of mouth ( looking for a LOCAL business with a reasonable price ) landed us here. All said and done when we picked up the car and seen the interior plastic around window was scratched. Upon bringing it to their attention.( Of course there was no possible way that they could of done it) Showing picture proof that it was not scratched the day it was brought in , they had agreed to replace the plastic piece . Long story short. First it was let me talk to who did the work, then run around waiting piece to be ordered, then wrong color ordered, then not being able to order the correct color. With them ending up doing absolutely nothing . I understand accidents happen. But this company. Did NOT make this wrong a right and when you have no customers you have no job! ( i still gladly spread their work ethics around and the job that they do. 😡Good thing for internet. U meet a lot of people and can share wonderful stories of local businesses ). Ps. Looking at the same complaints about manager. Is even more upsetting. Follow up to bbb will be made

I found their staff to be extra helpful and friendly....it was an added bonus that due to costruction detours I was more than twenty minutes late for my appt. They offered directions to assist me since I was not a local resident and somewhat unfamiliar with the area. I was truly impressed when the technician greeted me at the door with a smile and a handshake!! It was wonderful to personally have the tech greet me....like saying he was going to personally take care of my windshield and all problems associated with it! He was confident and friendly! While waiting in the office, I took precedence over the incoming calls to have all of my questions answered and with a smile to let me know I was their main concern!! Since my windshield was replaced, I have not had any leaks or other problems.... I GIVE GREAT LAKES GLASS A FIVE STAR RATING!!

This place is AWESOME!! Last night my son called said trim around windshield was breaking, they got him in TODAY!! He is going deer hunting this weekend, so you can only imagine how happy I was. They were also the only company in Greenbay area to tell me to replace entire windshield (which comes with the trim) not just trim itself. Replacing the trim was 5-6 times more expensive with the other companies I called than replacing windshield. Turned out trim and glass were fine. Our vans make and model are known for trim breaking at bottom by wiper blades and they took that piece out put the wiper blade on charged us NOTHING and sent my kid on his way. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend them to anyone in need of glass repair. You don't see to much in the way of this kind of service anymore!!!

The service was exemplary. Since we opted to go them, we had about an hour wait and the service tech recommended a restaurant that was a block away. They were done with our replacement windshield before we finished our lunch. We have had no air or water leaks. The window looks great. They even replaced our oil change reminder sticker. Very Happy!!

My wife had made arrangements Monday to have the windshield replaced in my truck on a Tuesday morning at her place of employment. She was told she would receive a phone call from the technician around 8:30 - 9:00, 20 minutes before his arrival. At about 10:00 she had to call to see where he and was told it would be between 11:30 and 1:00. At 1:30 she had to call again to see when he would be there, and was told in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later he finally arrived and when she asked about the 8:30 - 9:00 appointment he just complained about being to busy and said "don't worry, I'll take care of you ". He then began to disassemble the truck, removing trim pieces and the rear view mirror and after an hour and a half he just left without saying a word. I then called their office to find out where he was, they got a hold of him, and told me he left because it was to cold. When my wife got home from work I inspected my vehicle and found broken trim around the windshield and wiring hanging from the electronic rear view mirror. I called the office again and talked to Joel, who said he was the manager. He said they could do it a different day and offered me a $25.00 discount. I told him it wasn't about a discount, I just wanted my truck put back together the way they found it. I ask to speak to the owner of the business to express my dissatisfaction and to make aggangements to get my truck fixed. I was told he was not in but that he would return my call the next day. It has been 3 days now and I have still not heard from him. I am shocked at how poor the customer service is and if a company can not simply treat a customer right how can they be expected to be competent enough to replace a windshield properly. My recommendation would be to not make your buying choice based only on price but also consider quality customer service, something that Great Lakes Glass did not provide to me. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

This business is not at this location, as they were acquired by Car Guard Detail & Auto Glass. Be aware that the number you call will lead to that business, and when you need work done you need to go to that companies address. It caused some confusion for me, but as long as you go to the correct business they are professional with good prices. Leaving this review so people are aware of this.

My experience was awesome...great job!!! From the moment I located your company online, the process went on without a hitch. This was the first time I ever had to deal with replacing auto glass and wasn't sure what to expect. I contacted three companies requesting a quote, one by phone and two using an online feature where you get an estimate right away. Great Lakes Glass was the least expensive, and even though I rarely do this, I chose them anyway because of what I read on their website about their business philosophy. Dan, the installer, is great! He was very professional, knowledgeable and informative, and from start to finish, his 15 years of experience was obvious to me! I will definitely use them again for auto glass replacement!!

DO NOT GO HERE. Worst service I have ever had. Called to set up an appointment, received a reasonable quote, technician came at the right time. All of this was great until once the windshield was in place. Epoxy was left on the car seat which stained our clothes then the rear view mirror fell off within an hour. When asked to come back and fix it the technician said he could later in the afternoon. At 3pm we called to see if he was coming back and was told he would be here in 1 hour. By 5:15 still no technician. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes for the manager to address my call, my faith in repairing the windshield the same day was out the window. The technician did arrive at about 5:45 to fix the mirror but even as he was fixing it he was telling the other technician what should have been done. Another half hour later the job was done. I pray the damn thing doesn't fall off on the freeway tomorrow. If you want good, reliable service, don't go here.

I had great lakes glass replace the windshield in my 91 Honda civic after getting several quotes from other companies and finding none that were as competitive as Great Lakes Glass. They were great to work with and the price included mobile installation! I was only in the area for a few days and Dan met me at my hotel over lunch hour and quickly replaced my windshield. I'd imagined replacing my windshield would cost twice what it did, so I drove around with a crack for about a year. I worsened the crack on a Sunday, made a call on Monday and by Tuesday at 10:45 AM, I had a new windshield. They came to my place of business and replaced it in the parking lot. It had to have been 90 degrees out by the time my tech - Nick, was done. I should've tipped him, but I didn't think of it at the time as I was running late for a meeting. Guy was drenched, but it seemed clear he enjoyed giving great service. I would do business with them again based on price alone - a little over $200 for a new windshield on a 2007 Jeep Commander. Combine that with the convenience factor and I am happy to take the time to write a positive Google review. Most of my experiences with auto repair of any sort are neutral at best. Nothing ever seems to happen fast and I can't remember ever thinking a repair was cheaper than I expected. That is why this interaction stands out. It was pure over delivery on their part. I can't say enough about how positive the experience was.

I needed my windshield fixed and called three times over the course of a week without receiving a single response. Very disappointing experience. Customer service and communication clearly need improvement. I can’t recommend based on this experience.
