scheduled an oil change at this Grismer Tire location for 11:00 a.m., and it ended up taking two hours to complete, even though I was told it would be quick. While I was there, I also mentioned that my front driver’s side tire—one they had recently replaced (not this location but it doesn’t matter)—kept leaking air. They investigated and said the valve stem was bad, and told me they would replace it for me that same visit. Fast forward to recently, I had maintenance done at a different mechanic and mentioned that the same tire was still leaking. My mechanic confirmed that the valve stem was bad—despite Grismer supposedly replacing it just two months ago. Overall, this location was very slow, not dependable, and the experience was frustrating from start to finish.

Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation in mid-June. The customer service seemed fine at the time. I was called and informed that my oil filter housing was failing and causing a small leak. I approved the additional repair work, which added a bit to the bill, but nothing major. After getting my vehicle back, I dropped it off at a body shop for unrelated work (just panel replacement and dent repair—nothing involving the engine bay or oil system). Not long after they started, the shop contacted me saying the car was leaking a lot of oil. When I picked it up, I checked the dipstick—it was bone dry. Thankfully, I had a couple quarts of oil on hand and was able to avoid running the engine dry. I scheduled a follow-up inspection and recall service at my local dealership. They sent a technician video as part of their standard process and followed up with a call. Here's what they found: 1. The wrong gasket was used on the oil drain plug. 2. The threads on the pan were stripped. 3. Someone attempted to re-tap the threads. 4.The bolt was ultimately shoved in at an off-angle, apparently just to stop it from leaking. The result? A ruined oil pan and $900 in repairs. Let me be clear: I'm not upset about a mistake being made. Mistakes happen. I'm upset that multiple bad decisions were made after the mistake—sloppy attempts to cover it up, and zero communication about any of it. If you had told me what happened, I likely would’ve still had the repair done at your shop. Instead, you knowingly sent me home in a vehicle leaking oil. That’s not just unprofessional. That’s dishonest, reckless, and frankly, stupid. It sucks to be writing this, especially after nearly 7 years of positive experiences at Grismer Tire & Auto. But this isn’t a minor slip-up. It’s a complete breakdown in integrity and basic competence. I won’t be coming back, and I’ll be warning friends and family about what happened. Cars are too important to entrust to a shop that tries to hide its mistakes instead of owning them. Do better.

Having an older car has its challenges. However, when you are trying to stop a vehicle ( a full- sized truck), that is beyond my reach! I called a dear friend who immediately recommended Grismer! Terrified of all that this may entail, Mr . Chris assured me that they would take care of it. A few calls later and financial options that were necessary, I had my "Pearlie" back and safe to drive! Full brake lines rusted out, master cylinder busted, A/C blower motor out ( it's been beyond hot, and a multitude of other things that I am happy to say I do not have to worry about! Thank you to Mr. Chris and EACH & EVERY MASTER MECHANIC THAT PUT HER BACK TOGETHER! I am grateful. L. Gerren - DPS

Very accommodating and friendly staff. We had just finished moving our son into school and were about to head home only to find a quickly deflating tire. We reached out at 5, an hour before close, and they told us they wrong see what they could do. They were able to find the problem and patch our tire, and had us back on the road so we could get home safely at 6.

Called Rob at Grismer about a coolant leak and asked if I could drop the car off Monday morning and leave it there all week because of vacation plans. Not only did they agree, they fixed my car that very day! Talk about service! SO glad I made the switch to Grismer, you guys run a top notch business!

I had two engine lights to come on after my oil was changed and it had taken them a long time to turn them off. I asked them to check my tires pressure and it took them a long time to get it done. I was there approx.2-1/2 hours. Come on really! Andrew

Came in for an oil leak fix left with an oil change I didn’t ask, nor did they give me options to choose from. (Oil type or package options ) ultimately the whole thing cost over 450$ and I’d never come back to this place. Absolutely no care or respect. Still have the leak they told me they couldn’t fix it but that I should call another mechanic. Wasted my time and money and warranty. Thanks grismer

Good service, was quick and professional. They did overcharge me an 1.5 hour service when it only took them an hour. (It was an hour between the calls of when the work started and when it was done.) but they do premium work.

Horrible experience. Money hungry company. Gave them a list to do the FIRST time and didn’t do anything I asked and charged me 200 for diagnostic not to do anything. Second time they TRIED to charge me again for an inspection. So money hungry about selling a wheel to me from them. I went and bought my own cause I was cutting close money wise and the refuse to put the tire on I bought and finesse me buying their tires.

Great service, the tech Jim found the leak on my car and the service advisor Chris was friendly and personable. These too made my experience good as they erased all my concerns and doubts, I will return as a customer.

I bought all 4 tires at Grismer. When I encountered a slow leak; I pulled in to have them look at the tire and he said it would be $44.00. I agreed because I was there. It wasn’t until I spoke with a client who was a mechanic, and he told me how it should have cost me nothing to $10…and “next time I should take a guy with me because I was taken advantage of for being a woman at Grismer tire. Very disappointing since I have purchased tires for a couple vehicles there. It’s just not how I do business.

I've dealt with many automotive places in the past and Grismer is by far the best I've ever encountered. Chris was very helpful and knowledgable concerning what I needed done and mechanics did a great job in a timely manner. I will be going to them from now on.

Flat tire from object on highway. Drove to this Grismer on Patterson Blvd. They put on my spare tire at no charge. My local Grismer in Fairborn with whom I have an established relationship ordered a replacement tire. This was an unsettling experience. The Grismer representative was very professional, supportive and pleasant to work with. Although I offered to pay for their time and service, he refused to accept any compensation.

From my very first call to picking up my vehicle (without the squeaky serpentine belt) everyone was consistently kind, professional, efficient. Update: my serpentine belt that they put on came off 4 days later. I went in to resolve it, after being told someone would look to see the cause. I waited over an hour, which matters because I was told that's the only reason I got a refund-- not because my belt came off and I couldn't use my wheel. The guy said, "we don't look at other stuff when we put on belts and we don't know why you requested one for us to know if there were any issues. We just put it on." The invoice shows the reason for a new belt and recommendations of other repairs, because they, indeed, knew why my belt was being replaced and checked other components of my car. Instead of acknowledging the obvious, apologizing and just giving a refund, a list of debunked excuses were given, including that the belt could've just worn down... after 4 days....... anyway, I'm grateful for Chris, who pushed for a full refund, including the labor, and was also decent enough acknowledge the safety issue I experienced-- my wheel literally locked up while I was turning into traffic. While I waited, I got to hear a few apologies to other customers made for various mistakes. Seeing as I wasn't the only one there to get something corrected, I'm not sure I'd feel confident with going back and trusting the mechanics. Thanks.
