A little background: I was referred to Hohmeier Auto Body through a friend after my front fender and bumper were severely damaged in a highway accident. I have an older vehicle that is all steel, making it difficult to find parts at a low cost, or even find any parts at all for that matter. Due to the fact that my vehicle is older and the damage was expensive, we had a very tight budget to work with so that was the car was not totaled. After I contacted Bob (Hohmeier) and took the car in for pictures he wrote me up an estimate and told me he would be able to keep the repair under cost and still fix the car as if it was new. After the insurance company approved the damages and sent a check to Bob, he immediately began work on the car. One of the car scrap yards had told him they had a part (when they actually didn't), which would have otherwise set the completion date back a number of days. Fortunately he was able to find a closer yard and get the part in ASAP so that the vehicle would be ready on time. When I picked the car up only a week later, the vehicle looked better than ever. I also noticed that Bob replaced my battery tray since my old one was nearly disintegrated due to old age, at no additional cost. The car was washed (it was filthy with salt and snow when I dropped it off), and they had applied wheel wet spray to the tires. I was and still and so impressed with the work that they did to fix my vehicle. It rides and handles better than it did before the accident (also thanks to a tire alignment that they performed). Hohmeier Auto Body exceeded my expectations and finished the vehicle in a timely fashion despite problems that were out of their control. I would HIGHLY recommend this local shop for any accident, hail, or other damage your car has sustained.

Bob was amazing to work with. This was my first time getting into an accident with another vehicle and Bob took the time to explain how the process would work with insurance when I was just there to get a quote. He kept me updated throughout the entire process. He also went above and beyond and looked into an issue with my tire pressure light that I didn't even mention prior. An added bonus is that Homeier is a dog friendly shop :) I will definitely be back with any issues in the future.

Bob and his team have worked on my car a few different times, and he’s also repaired cars for friends I’ve sent his way. I’ve always been thoroughly pleased with the outcome. He’s helped me deal with insurance and also done repairs without using my insurance. He is kind, thorough, respectful, cost-efficient, prioritizes safety, and does what he says he’s going to do. As a fellow business owner, I am completely impressed with how he takes time to thoroughly explain everything without rushing or being condescending, and that his quotes are always spot on. As a single mom, I’m grateful he’s in my “village.” This week, my car was damaged in a car wash, and that company refused to take responsibility. This morning, Bob fixed it for free on the spot. While so many companies are cutting corners, failing on the customer service end, and generally not putting customers first, Bob and his team are setting the standard!

The best auto body repair shop in St. Louis! I don't give that title out lightly. I did my homework and went to 5 places to obtain quotes. While Hohmeier wasn't the cheapest, they also weren't the most expensive. Bob not only gave me a very fair and reasonable quote, he took the time to explain the work he would need to do and the parts that would be needed to repair my vehicle. I like that! He was patient, kind, professional, trustworthy, and timely! He values the customer as much as he values his repairs. He never told me he likes to repair vehicles. He didn't have to---you know it because he wants to do quality work and the end result is just that. He matched the paint so well! I'm so impressed with his work. It can be especially challenging to find an auto repair person that doesn't talk down to you and Bob never did that...not even close! If you are in need of auto body repair work, I strongly suggest you swing by and see Bob. He will take great care of you! I was not paid, nor was I even asked to write this review. I hope it helps others have a successful repair (because a broken, damaged car is already stressful enough).

I took my car to Hohmeier Auto Body over the summer for some auto body repairs and repair to leaking fluids was initially satisfied with their work. However, during the process, my radiator and transmission were damaged, and they sent my car to a mechanic they work with to handle those repairs. Unfortunately, three months later, I found myself out $2,500 because their mechanic did not thoroughly inspect my car. I ultimately had to replace both the transmission and radiator myself. I’m extremely disappointed with this experience and would never recommend this establishment to anyone. If they refer you to their mechanic, be cautious—my experience has been costly and frustrating.

I found Hohmeier after a random Google search and will use them again in a heartbeat!!! Can’t say enough good things about Bob and his shop. Dealing with insurance was a pain, and he was so patient and made sure I was looped in to everything. My car looks better than it did before it got hit, and he did the work in record time.
