I'll begin by saying what a great experience. All the staff was absolutely wonderful, from Jesus to Ben, to Brian. I did buy a Subaru Crosstrek Premium and absolutely love it. It will take us a little bit to get used to the technology...probably cause I'm almost 70, and just need to practice, but you can go back anytime and meet with Ben. He is very patient and kind. And Brian will answer any questions you have and go over the paperwork with ease, and is very patient. All in all, it was an awesome experience and I would tell anyone looking for a new car to make Holmgren Subaru your 1st stop and ask for Jesus Hernandez! Can't wait to go on our 1st road trip! We had not bought a new car in 25 years so we didn't want to be pressured into buying a car that wasn't a good fit for us. We did our research online and narrowed our search to two models at two different makes. We started at Holmgren Subaru. After test drives of the other makes we returned to Holmgren. Our sales associate, Jesus Hernandez, was knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions over four test drives of three Subaru models. We also test drove other models and trim lines at other Subaru dealerships but returned to Holmgren because we truly a appreciated Holmgren Subaru's patience and no pressure sales experience. Although they had an excellent selection of vehicles, ultimately Jason, the sales manager, ordered us the model, trim, and color optioned exactly as we wanted. The Holmgren sales team commutated quickly through phone, text, and email. They were also completely transparent about pricing, options, and add-ons. I am confident we got the right vehicle at a fair price. Thank you Holmgren Subaru!!

Brought my car in for an oil change was told my coolant had been topped off. When I questioned the tech about it he stated that "my coolant did not seem too low". I checked my coolant tank once I got home and my tank was near empty!!! My coolant was never topped and assuming never has been at all my routine visits which is why my tank was so low......

Brought my old Subaru in for an evaluation. Requested a list of work to get done. They chose to do what they wanted and told me it was all completed. Told me it was road tested and everything was good. Picking it up I could tell something was wrong, stearing is pulling right, wheels are not balanced and are shimmying all over and the car stalled every time you come to a stop. Talked to the service manager and his response was to bring the car back in and they'll be happy to charge me more for the work that was never done. He was chewing something through the whole conversation and never once apologized, acted like it was all my fault. Very condescending. I've bought 3 cars here. I've had all my cars serviced here for years. Never going back. Worst experience ever. Just got my cat back from another shop. They informed me that the dealer never should have let me drive it away as the tires were so badly dry rotted that they were basically crumbling to pieces and there were 3 missing lug nuts. I had a pile of 20 extra lug nuts in the car, but they couldn't be bothered to install the missing ones. The radiator hoses were also dry rotted and leaking. The knock sensor, the throttle position sensor, and the neutral safety switch were all not functioning. Holgrem never changed the oil like I asked. I told them the car was sitting for a few years and I wanted help evaluating it. I got a long list of green checks on the evaluation check off list they use. Told me the tires were perfect. I doubt they even looked at them. This used to be a reliable place to take our cars, now I'm afraid to let them touch anything we own especially after talking to the service manager, what a piece of work. Totally dismissive, like he was enjoying not taking credit for the crap service. His answer was I should drive it back in and they'd be happy to keep working on it, but the crap service was my own fault, it's an old car, I should have expected it. My mother was in the process of buying a new Outback. After my treatment there she walked away from the deal. She's afraid of having to get her car serviced there now.

I had gone to another dealership previously which perhaps had better deals with a larger inventory of pre-owned vehicles but I felt they were a bit pushy, I didn’t care for the atmosphere nor could I find what I wanted. . At Holmgren everyone was really helpful and nice, smaller dealership, friendly atmosphere. It probably helped that there was one car I was particularly interested in, and that’s what I bought. The sales representative Tom was very nice explained things clearly and after I had already bought the car helped me the following day with setting up some electronics for the vehicle. A big plus, they like dogs! So my dogs were welcome to come in to for a visit. Overall I would say it was the most positive experience I’ve had buying a car (which is one of my least favorite things to shop for ). All felt easy and seamless.

I absolutely love the service team at Holmgren! Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. Jacob checked me in and was an absolute angel — welcoming, efficient, and kind from the start. Most of my interactions were with Dwyer, and he was spectacular. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was explained clearly and handled smoothly. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the cars and the customers. This was my first time seeing him in the service department and hopefully not the last! I didn’t plan to buy my car here. I just wanted to see the newer Foresters as I had an accident which totaled my 2014 Forester. That Forester had saved my life. I was an EMT and most people I daw many who rolled their car on black ice didn’t survive with damage that wasn’t as severe as mine . I have close ties with a friend who has a dealership in VT who would give me “family” pricing. After sitting and talking with Jonathan I knew I could trust him as he was honest and open with me to find the right car for my needs. I decided that if anyone was to get a commission for selling me a car it would be him. I ended up with a new to me 2023 Forester Wilderness pictured below.
