I had a problem getting my powered subwoofer (P300-12) to power on, and had Hollywood Sound do a clean install with my own cable kit and supplies. They did it for a decent price but I have issues with the quality of install. First, I had Posi-Taps pre-installed into my unplugged factory subwoofer for the high level input signal that I had asked the installer to use, but he plugged the factory sub back in, took my taps out, and then spliced into the wires himself using electrical tape (with no heat shrink). It looks pretty bad. Secondly, I already had every setting configured correctly. Once installed, I could hear him running the subwoofer at a high volume for several minutes. When I looked at the sub after installation, every setting was now reversed. Most importantly, the Gain was set to MAX. This concerned me and is a very poor practice that can quickly damage a subwoofer; you should always keep gain at 0 to start and adjust slowly from there only if necessary. Many new subwoofers even state in their manual not to exceed a certain volume until X amount of hours, just like you shouldn't hammer on a new car; I am nervous that this guy may have casually damaged my subwoofer. Next, the Phase was now set to 180, and the Input was set to Low level (while using a High level input harness). Since it was set to Low level, it caused the subwoofer to play a loud tone while the car was turned off and no audio source was connected. Much more length of ground cable was used than necessary; there is several extra feet of ground cable coiled up under my spare tire. I also gave the installer 17ft of 8ga OFC wire and he probably only used half of it but did not return the remainder. He also didn't secure the sub in the trunk using the velcro straps I had provided for him. I feel like this guy didn't actually know what these settings do which gives me a terrible feeling in my stomach every time I think about it given what I paid for the install. I don't believe the installation quality was worth $120/hr and would not take a vehicle here for an audio install again.

Super happy with the job they did. Gm no longer makes remote start kits for my car because it's a 2011 Malibu. So my only option was to go with aftermarket, which made me nervous because sometimes they don't get installed correctly by some places. Hollywood Sound did an excellent job for a reasonable price, and we've had no issues in the two weeks since.

I had an issue with my my amp cutting out after having my system for 3 years that was installed by another audio shop. I called them and they got me in that day. I payed for a full car window tint, so far so good. waiting to see if the bubbles and watery look will go away. i have a few liquid stains on my seats and liquid marks on my leather interior from the film applicator spray. I will update this in 6 days so that the tint has time to cure.

I got my tint done here about 2 years ago. The whole back window is bubbling up. I called and they said I have to pay for them to fix it. Why would I keep paying for them to fix something that they done. Maybe the product that’s used is the problem but just beware!!!

Great great great customer service. They made my S63 look sharp and did it on the spot after pulling in. To top it off the owner allowed me to drive a loaner while they worked on my vehicle. After that they even went the extra mile to have it delivered. I would not go anywhere else from now on and I’ve been at top notch shops down Chicago and these guys did it faster, better, cheaper without having to drive to Chicago to find a place that really knows what they are doing. Wow! I was referred by another Charger owner whose tint looked fantastic, so I knew my car would be in good hands, but wow! I had to go back twice to get my back window fixed and re-tinted due to the tint peeling and huge bubbles forming, this could have been caused by the cold weather but I don’t know for sure. However , customer service here is really nice , Sam was very nice and understanding when I was not satisfied with my back window and he re-tinted the back for me. The prices were decent but when I came back from the second time my Michigan Decal was moved on the other side of the window for no reason , and I took it off to place a new one there (because the decal looked like it had been tampered with) and under the decal was a bubble, I don’t know if the decal was purposely scraped off and placed there to cover the bubble but that’s what it looks like. There would be no other reason to move the decal to the other side of the window—kinda sketchy that they would do that. Overall, I’m satisfied with my tint just disappointed that I had to go back 2 times and how they messed with my decal. (The third picture is what was underneath the decal)
