I bought a used car here, and it started to have issues not very long after purchasing and I was stranded on the side of the road on more than one occasion, and had to get the car towed. I then took the car back to be fixed multiple times but kept having the same issue, always seemed like it was one thing after another. In the end, I just took it elsewhere to be fixed for less and have had no issues since it was fixed correctly. A total waste of time and money. Wish I could’ve got as good of service as some of the other reviews seemed to have received. Not sure what happened here but I will definitely not be returning to this place under any circumstance.

AMAZING! From the delightful office manager Bonnie to the service manager John I felt valued and well taken care of. The mechanic Jason took time to carefully explain each needed repair and took me to my vehicle and showed me each item and what work needed to be done and what could wait for the future. As a woman, knowing that you are not being taken advantage of is a rare blessing these days. I found the work to be thorough and complete, and the attitude of each team member to be caring and professional. I will go back again for all my auto needs!!

Best and fairest mechanics in Fort Wayne. John always gets my Saturn aura in quick and done in the same day. He has saved me so much money compared to other mechanics, he fixed my ball joint and control arm for 350 compared to the 600 I was quoted at by other mechanic shops. Definitely recommend this mechanic shop above any other in Fort Wayne. They are always fair, honest, and nice people. 10/10

Came to this location directly from Google. I was a little skeptical about the location. Because I didn’t live there and wasn’t familiar with the place. I was staying with my sister for the holidays. My tire got real bad & needed a new tire. They literally we’re very welcoming, the hospitality and the care they gave me was phenomenal, 10/10. They’re very patient, listening and understanding. They also make sure they get the job done, in a fast-paced manner. I highly suggest you guys check them out & get your car right in order with care!!!! After many years of being scammed by different mechanic shops in Fort Wayne, Hometown Auto is like the answer to my prayers. Their work is always well done, they are always honest and totally upfront with me, their prices are beyond fair, and they guarantee their work. Latest example: another shop told me I needed front end work done $1495.00; Hometown said you don't need all that. We can fix for about $145.00 give or take. They have worked on my car, my daughter's car, and my granddaughter's car now. They don't just see a woman who "probably knows nothing; they see a customer/client. I highly recommend them!!!!!

My company sends our delivery vehicles for basic and sometimes advanced maintenance. Within 2 weeks i dropped off our 5 vehicles and I even needed one towed there for a dead battery. Every vehicle was done within a day and ready to hit the road again. Even when there is an emergency, we can expect parts ordered and installed in no time. John is great at customer service and makes sure every vehicle is serviced quickly with high quality. I even started taking my personal vehicles in as well! Would recommend.

I originally went to them because they were close to where i use to live on Rudisill Blvd, I don’t like driving in Fort Wayne and they were close. I’m glad I picked this business, they were great in 2016 and are great now! I blew up my engine and got quoted 3,000-4,000 at other businesses, but Jason took care of me and I only had to pay 2,800! I recommend them to my family and friends!

Jason and the rest of the team did a fantastic job working on my Subaru! Went in to get the clutch replaced, and Jason made me aware of other issues that needed taken care of and didn’t give me the run around. Great prices and very quick work. When all was said and done Jason took me into the shop and showed me the condition of all of the old parts that they replaced, so I knew that everything got done and got done correctly. Would definitely recommend to anyone that needs cheap honest car repairs!

Took my Nissan Altima in. First time to get fixed because it had hesitation with acceleration. They replaced the Main air filter sensor which was a lot of money because it was forien parts. $300. Then another $300 for the filters replacing. I understand the sensor expense but the filters? Seems I was overcharged. It fixed it for a while till I took it back a few weeks later figuring out it was actually the transmission going out. I couldn't afford it and they wanted to charge me $4,000 I took it everywhere else. Months go by I get my car fixed and the engine light came on. I got a free diagnosis from autozone and took it in. They claimed it wasn't good enough. We're going to charge me $100 for their diagnosis. I left to go to Tom Stelle who did exactly what the free diagnosis said and it fixed the problem at no charge. I saw clearly this place just wants money. I did not have a lot of money and they took advantage of that. Thankfully I was smarter the second time. Do not take your car here!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! The worst place you can take your vehicle. They will hold your vehicle hostage for 2 days then charge an outrageous amount for a diagnostic when you went in for one thing and they couldn't even do that. And they will not answer the phone whenever you call, you have to go in and check for them to tell you it's not done, for two days!!!

Jason Dague was paid 2500$ for repairs which he never completed and is now holding my car hostage and trying to extort another 800$ from me…. For what I have no idea. Had to file a claim to try to get relief from the courts. Mycase lists Jason Dague has 21 judgements against him, theft of property among them. Save yourself and NEVER take your car here, you might not get it back
