Horrible service. Won’t return phone calls. No one seems to know what they are doing. Total mess here. Avoid at all costs. We got good service up the road at Big Star Honda after purchasing a new vehicle here and had issues. Filed a complaint with Honda North America.

Worst Honda service center in the nation. $142 for windshield wipers?? ~$93 for an oil change?? On a Civic?? Not to mention I asked for my license plate to be put on on the rear because I have after market (Mugen) license plate bolts that the plate was threaded for… just to have the tech replace the $40 license plate bolts with a bigger bolt, ruining the thread size of the hole. Ridiculous. I hope no one comes here and instead services their vehicle literally anywhere else. MOST I’ve ever paid at a Honda dealership in 70k miles of services is $50!! On the high side!! Most places it’s $40 with a coupon. INSANE.

I went in to get my radio re-programmed. It took a whole of 45 seconds. The tech who helped me was professional, polite and prompt! He also set the time on the clock - a thoughtful gesture! The service center is super clean and organized. Easy access in and out. Overall, I like this place and will use this center for brand specific service - which probably won't be very often cause Honda builds reliable vehicles.

Horrible service. Dishonest. Said car would be returned in one day at time of appointment. One week later am still without my car. Lacey said it was because they had 60 cars ahead of me and are short staffed but didn’t bother informing me that when they were taking my business - I would have taken it elsewhere otherwise. Once they have your car they hold it hostage - don’t return calls. I finally asked to be connected to her supervisor. She said Eddie Gillary - service director -would call me but he never did. I told them I don’t need anything done on my car anymore and would appreciate if they return it to me as is so I can take it to a an honest repair shop but due to the horrible customer service I keep getting the run around!

I had a diagnostic check performed due to a squeak sound whenever I used my brakes while driving and getting out of the car while it being off and I said this doesn’t happen all the time only sometimes(most likely two separate issues). Honda charged $135 for a diagnostic check and said it was the heat shield and that it was also the front brakes. I replaced both of these things with them and continued to hear the sounds. Whenever I signed up for an appointment online I put the reason for my visit and left a detailed description on what I heard and I also told the service advisor. I stated that I heard a squeak sound whenever I braked and whenever I get out of my car while the car was off I would hear another squeak sound but that sound did not happen all the time. They wrote in their description a squeak sound while driving. First of all, My service advisor Ted didn't do the inspection with me the first time. I had to come back because I still heard the squeak sound after getting the things fixed that they said that was causing the squeak. He stated he did not know what he was doing at that time and even went on to say he probably wasn’t there which he was. Then he said the girl I was with initially was new(if she was new he should’ve double checked the work or went with us, we didn’t even drive the car I had only turned on the car and she already assumed the problem for the squeak sound. The second time they found out that my rear brakes needed to be replaced and wanted me to get new shoes for it and replace the whole thing too because resurfacing it wouldn’t fix the issue is what Ted said. Apparently, the diagnostic check only checks whatever sound they want to find and not the sound you are describing. They also don't do a full diagnostic and check everything and they don’t recheck it to make sure the sound you heard goes away after the fix. I feel like if you’re going to check the front brakes and replace it then the rear brakes should also be checked especially if the sound is still there. I originally came there because I thought a dealership repair shop would be reliable and find all of the issues and get it taken care of the first time. However, this did not happen and I had to spend all day there. The first time for the diagnostic and then a second time because they had to order the part for the heat shield. Only to come back after that and spend more time there to get it checked again. So, please go somewhere else that offers a complimentary diagnostic check. Honda clearly found other things wrong which was not the sound I was referring to and decided to throw in that I need maintenance done too and quoted me a total of about $1800 for the first time I arrived(for maintenance,heat shield, and front brakes). The second time to fix my rear brakes it was going to be about $1297. Ted even said if I used aftermarket parts it was still going to cost me $600+ and said it would be an all day fix. After all that, the only resolution I was given was I basically should be thankful I didn’t get charged for an additional diagnostic fee and that they don’t think they did anything wrong and In which they offered a small discount of about $300 but won't even offer me a refund on my diagnostic fee? I got an inspection somewhere else and Honda missed multiple items in their diagnostics. The squeaks were due to my shocks and brakes. Honda definitely cut corners and falsifies reports. In Hondas multi check inspection they reported my shocks were satisfactory and also reported my windshield wipers were satisfactory when in fact they never tested these things. In addition, I called the number left on this review to Eddie and left a message and received no call back. These are just generic responses to reviews. They do not actually want to correct the problem. After my experience, I have learned that this establishment cannot be trusted and do not provide you with excellent customer service. I highly don't recommend going here as they do a rushed job and charge a bunch of money and will not find the source to your issue.

Don't bring your car here. These lazy people do not want your business. I had a service appointment. Drove into the bay and no one came out. So i walked in the first door to greet the middle aged man, sitting on his haunches. Just as I approached his cubicle the man walked off, presumably because he is allergic to work. He saw me. Didn't speak. Didn't say one minute. Just didn't want to work... so I left him to his early vacation/ retirement/ afternoon nap. I won't be back to see this crew. If this is how you treat customers to their FACE I can only imagine the half-assery going on when you leave your car in the care of some I don't give a damn folk.

It is a very bad service, starting with the staff and followed by the dishonest and lying mechanics. They claim to inspect and provide diagnostics that they never actually performed. They charged me $189 just to tell me that the air conditioning wasn’t working and that I had to pay more to refill it and see if the issue persisted. What they do at this place is disrespectful—they force you to pay for so-called specialized diagnostics that they never actually conduct. NEVER bring your vehicle here. They think customers are too dumb to notice the dirty tricks they use to make you pay more…..

This is by far the worst service department I’ve ever dealt with. Bought a new 2022 Accord and anytime I try to call for service there’s no answer, been waiting for over 10 mins now and all their phone system does is drop the call after so much ringing. No I do not want to leave a voicemail, I’ve read enough reviews about no call backs already. Oh but when it comes to post service they blow you up on emails, texts, phone calls, and voicemails wanting a nice review. This service department needs help big time. Miss Clear Lake Mazda’s service department, they knew how to treat a customer. Save your time, go to a different service center if possible.

The worst dealership! I was looking for a used van and found one! I asked the sales man if the vehicle came with the original key. He said yes. Perfect! Of course, I never saw the key until after I signed all the paperwork. When they laid the key in front of me, I assumed it was the original since that's what I was told, and I've never owned a toyota before, so I didn't know better. Horrible people work here that will lie just to get a sale. Btw I did come back after a while and spoke with a manager who pretty much said it's my word vs. his. At this time, I have a key that is not even cut. So this dealership screwed me over. How does a dealership not even get you a proper key for the vehicle you purchase. Never again!

Brought my Odyssey in after warning lights came on. The service center told me I needed a $2,000+ front camera replacement. I declined, took the vehicle home, and was able to self-diagnose the real issue — a bad alternator. What are they charging diagnostic fees for if they can’t even figure out something this simple? Feels like a scam, and I won’t be returning.

I bought a new battery for my Accord Hybrid in 2021 and they charged me under $200 total. This battery died this week, and it was supposedly still under warranty, so I went back to Honda of Clear Lake. They informed me that in the 4th year I was now in the prorated warranty period, and that I would need to pay all of the labor, and part of the price of the battery. Considering any decent auto parts store will replace a battery for free, this is silly, but the price was still going to be less than the price of O'Reilly's battery, so I agreed to pay $168. After about 90 minutes, they finally called my name. Again, changing a battery is basically no big deal. But they hadn't changed it. They had just begun working on it, and the mechanic had broken the terminal. Kyrah informed me that they would not replace my battery unless I also had them replace the terminal. James had added the cost to replace the terminal to my order. Get this: $199 for labor, and over $100 for the new terminal. This is a $10 part that any mechanic should be able to replace in under 10 minutes. Ridiculous. They should have offered me the new part at cost, and not charged me for labor. I told them it was obvious they were trying to take advantage of me, and that no, I wouldn't pay them a dime. Kyrah had been perfectly pleasant, but was obviously put out when I told her "no." The clerk at O'Reilly's changed everything for just over $200. $190 for the battery, and about $6 for the terminal. I will not be going back, and I suggest you take your car somewhere else.

GARBAGE!!!! HONDA OF CLEAR GARBAGE! Here we go again. Steven in the service department said they will not honor my 100 month battery warranty because it came with the car when I bought and I didn’t pay for the battery separately. (Makes zero sense, garbage. What the customer hears. “We won’t honor our warranty because we have zero integrity, zero honor, bad character, and we participate in unethical and immoral practices.) = We rob our customers. This is definitely the MOST GARBAGE HONDA DEALERSHIP IN TEXAS. Don’t make no sense. He said Eddy is his director and hopefully Eddy comes to work Monday to Honor Honda Warranty. GARBAGE SERVICE DEPARTMENT EXPERIENCE. Battery is dated November 2023. 100 months of covered 36 months of free replacement. Currently within the 36 month coverage period. Battery installed on date of purchase December 2023 as the last battery had a bad cell. This place should be shut down. Going out of business soon. Update. Spoke with Eddie and he maintained the unprofessional behavior and attitude of Honda cars of garbage. There is no reason to do any business with this garbage dealership.
