Thought it wasn't going to be a good experience when I walked in & the first guy seemed put out that he had to talk to a customer, but the other associate was amazing. He apologized that it took as long as it did & thanked me for waiting & seemed grateful to have me as a customer.

Daughters car went in for repair. Recall. Had it there by 8:00am took them all day. They did a video of a 19 point inspection and on issue is the main belt wearing out. Heck no phone call us while they had it. They should have called and told us. We would have got it fixed then. They want us to come for another appointment. Going to find another service center.

They’re always booked out for months. Don’t expect an appointment within the next 6 weeks, even for a simple oil change. And when you go for an oil change you can expect to wait at least an hour for them to finish up. And then when they’re finished they’ll try to sell you new wipers and filters even though yours are almost brand new. If you just need basic service go to Express on south college, they’ll treat you you right with much less hassle and wait time

Have had my car in 3 times and complained about the driver side rear view mirror not working properly. They said they could not find a problem with it. Called back last week and they said they would have the manager get back to me. He never called back. Called them back on 11/11/24 and they said they could get my car in to check the problem next May. I told them that the warranty would be expired by then and again they said they would have the manager get back to me. He still has not called back

I went to change the engine oil for my Kia car, and although the price was higher than I expected, the staff remained kind and courteous until the end, for which I am grateful. If I had a Hyundai car, I think I would be even more satisfied with their service.

Never had an issue with the Hyundai of Auburn service department. Way better than Montgomery. All of the technicians and Service Managers do a good job. Have to wait the usual hour 30 for an oil change and tire rotation. When I come here, there’s usually people waiting so I know it could be a bit longer. I recommend this place! I only come here for my car maintenance because I know they will take care of my car.

Worst service department! Be warned! You will be disappointed in the length of time for an appointment, the competence of the personnel, and the lack of empathy shown to you as a customer. Kept car for 3 1/2 WEEKS and said nothing was wrong. Insisted they investigate further. Still they said nothing wrong. Picked it up and drove 2 blocks where car proceeded to stutter and completely stall in traffic on Opelika Rd. Bought my own code scanner and it revealed a bad crankshaft position sensor. Called to request they take it in quickly to repair since I had diagnosed it. Keep in mind, we were without the car for almost a month. Their response? You have to get back in queue! Another 2 weeks before we can even look at it. Ridiculous! And my family has purchased 4 new Hyundais! 3 from them! We have been loyal customers. Never again. Update: Service Manager called and asked I give them another chance. Shorthanded, COVID, etc. FYI, Took car to Express Oil on Opelika Hwy. Car was totally repaired in 2 hours 40 minutes.

We towed our daughter’s 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited to Hyundai of Auburn on November 7, 2024 with a drivetrain issue which is still under warranty. They requested maintenance records which we provided back to 2021. They told us we had to agree to an inspection of the engine which would be $800 out of our pocket if the warranty work was denied - we agreed. They call us by phone every couple of weeks asking for more info or telling us an inspector from their “3rd party vendor” wants photos or is sending an inspector to inspect the car. It’s been almost 2 months, and they still have our car. Hyundai takes no responsibility and says it’s all the “3rd party vendor”. Last time I checked, it’s Hyundai’s name that is on the warranty. My husband has been patient and nice every time he has talked to them until today when they called for records dating back earlier than 2021. They know that an oil change from 2020 has nothing to do with the problems with the car now in 2024, but all of that aside, it is absolutely unreasonable to ask anyone to be without their car for 2 or more months and then to treat them like they are the problem is unacceptable. Ask yourself before you buy a Hyundai - can you be without your car for 2 months or more while they decide if they want to fix it? Can you pay $800 out of pocket if the warranty work is denied? The service department told us they are backed up 2-3 months - ask yourself why that is. One mechanic from another business told us “Hyundai knows they have engine problems, but yet they just keep making cars.” I will never, ever buy another Hyundai. We own a 2010 Toyota with 210,000 miles on it and a 1998 Lexus with 250,000 miles on it. Don’t make the mistake we did. Don’t let them sell you on the “100,000 mile warranty” or the “extra bells and whistles” for less money. Spend the extra money, get a good car like a Toyota or Lexus from a dealership that practices good business and takes care of their customers. I have never written a negative review on any business, but then again I’ve never been treated like this either.

Worst service department ever! I have a 2023 Genesis GV80. I took it in for new tires. I had them put on 4 new primacy factory tires. They put the tires on wrong and couldn’t get it balanced. See pictures of all the weights they put trying to “balance it” after they put the tire on wrong. Let me leave and had to bring it back later to have them fix it as it was not road ready. No apology or anything but another day that I couldn’t drive my car to work. No loaner vehicle offered or available. Nothing! Every time I need a service they are always booked out, and never answer the phone or return my messages. My AC went out, and they told me it was an 8 week wait for a diagnostic appt. Had to go up there to make the appt as I had attempted to schedule appt leaving multiple messages that no one returned. They told me I could bring it in and leave it any time during that 8 week wait, and they would work me in. Left it there for a week, and they didn’t touch it. Wouldn’t reply to my messages about status, and I still don’t have my 3 year old $80,000+ vehicle with running air. Please don’t use this service department if you don’t absolutely have to, and if you know what’s good for you DON’T BUY A GENESIS! Such a beautiful SUV but looks can be deceiving. Overpriced, can’t get serviced, has recalls every couple of months, and customer service at the Auburn location is awful!!!!!!!
