I went there to look at a used car, had 2 different people call me to confirm the appointment and I called them to confirm I was going to the right dealership and that the car was there. Get there the car was not there and they immediately try to sell me other cars I don't want and I leave. Now they call me every day trying to sell me other cars. It's annoying.

We were looking for a used vehicle after the insurance totaled our car. Contacted dealer via online and got a call back. Finally went in and looked at the car. Looked like a good enough vehicle. Went through the process. The used car was as is but had supposedly had full inspection. After only 3 days of driving , the car had a squeaky sound from the rear end. Had it checked out and had no right brake pad left and the rotor was damaged. Had to do a complete rear brake job after 1 week of purchase! Not happy! The dealership didn’t even check on us after the purchase! I called this past Monday July 28th and crickets. My husband called the sales person yesterday and hasn’t heard back. Will never go back to this dealership again! Horrible customer service !

Yesterday was another example of how poorly Hyundai of Metairie handles its customers. I specifically dealt with Caralnn, the account manager, and the entire situation left me frustrated, unheard, and without my car. After repeated issues, I went into the dealership expecting resolution. Instead, Caralnn left for the day and went home without even making sure I got my car back. Imagine being a paying customer, having already spent hard-earned money for services that should’ve been done correctly the first time, and then watching the very person assigned to “manage your account” walk out the door while your car is still sitting there. Not only was my time completely disregarded, but there was zero accountability. No follow-up, no effort to make sure I was taken care of before she clocked out—just another example of why so many people warn others about this dealership’s lack of professionalism and respect for its customers. This is not a one-off incident. Too many people share the same complaints: poor communication, sloppy service work, and staff that simply doesn’t follow through. A true account manager’s job is to advocate for the customer, not to disappear when things aren’t handled. I left yesterday still without my car, without an update, and with the same problem I walked in with. I’m sharing this because people deserve to know how business is being conducted here. If management or ownership really values customers, they need to take a hard look at what’s happening in their service and account management department. Customers should never be left stranded while staff go home with no accountability.

If you’re looking around for a new car, I highly recommend working with Tyler Welch!!! He made the whole car buying process so easy and was so helpful throughout. I had been looking for a long time when I decided to check out the palisades and I’m so happy I did! Tyler knew I was considering a few different options and I really appreciated how he was able to help me narrow down my decision. He wasn’t about all the gimmicks, just really helping me get exactly what I was looking for in a car. Even after purchasing the car, he’s still helping me understand everything the car can do.. lol. I'm giving this review 5 stars because it is an ongoing story and the end still has the opportunity to be a good one. Firstly, I'm going on the record to say. . . "I hate codes and sensors." I dropped my car (2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport) off At Hyundai of Metairie on July 16, 2025. Since then, I've gotten 3 calls back from the service rep, and was given 3 different issues, that "it could be." I was also told that the mechanic is working with the Techline Team to find answers, as well. I'm happy that Hyundai is, at least, staying in touch with me about the issues. But today is July 30th and I still don't have my car. The longer I wait, the more afraid I get. I'm literally losing sleep over this. I'm still paying on this car. When I tell you I am scared. . . I am SCARED! I can't afford another car. Luckily, I have the extended warranty coverage, as I purchased the car used (2024) from CarMax. Yesterday, I was told that a representative from my warranty company has to physically go to Hyundai to approve the many issues that are plaguing my car. My fingers are crossed. The representative will get to Hyundai either today (7/30) or tomorrow (7/31) ...which probably means next week. Geez, I sure miss my freedom. I've also been reading a lot of different consumer platforms (Reddit, AnswerHub, Quora, etc.) and the sensor/codes problem is pretty popular with Hyundai. You'd think with all those owners making, basically, the same complaint, that there's be a recall. Anyway, I'm trusting God for a good outcome here. I'll come back with an update.

Totally horrible service! Took my wife's car to the repair center... it was like dropping it off in a "black hole." They never return our calls and use AI operators to answer the phone. Just terrible service. I dialed "0" to get alive person and they hung up on me. Will never use them again!!! And yea... still haven't got the car back either.

If you are considering purchasing a Hyundai, please give Rudy Garza a call. I cannot say enough good things about this man! This was me and my fiancé’s first time purchasing a new vehicle and he made it enjoyable, easy, and we never felt like there was anything we could not ask. He was patient and took his time with us. We never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. He got us the car of my dreams and I regret nothing. I’ve had the car for a little over a month now and I don’t think I will ever get anything other than a Hyundai ever again. Even after our purchase, Rudy has made sure we are taken care of and that we are satisfied. I wanted some stickers and a pinstripe removed off of the vehicle and Rudy took care of it. No questions asked.

How refreshing it is to walk into a friendly establishment & immediately be greeted with a welcoming smile. Miguel, Sales Person, was exceptional. First off he was human, happy, curtious, knowledgeable, patient & radiated positive energy. I stated what I was looking for and he made sure to get me that and more. He had me a HELLO. I would not recommend taking your car here for service. I paid $1200 for professional work, yet not even 1 mile down the road my skid plate under my bumper fell off due to a missing screw, and got sucked up under my tire. Mr John the service manager offered no solutions, instead telling me the cameras show no wrong doing. What about my camera Mr John??

My mom bought a car here and before her first note was due she had engine issues. They kept her car for 4 months saying they were waiting for parts etc. when she got it back she asked if they did what the mechanics recommended and unsurprisingly they did not. They refused to speak on the phone and only wanted to text about it. She picked her car up yesterday and it was absolutely disgusting. Oil smudges, dirt, gravel, empty water bottles. I called 8 times since she picked her car up to discuss this with a manager and to no surprise I never got an answer once. No call back either. I would never buy from a Matt Bowers dealership after seeing how they treated an elderly woman. Disgusting.

I'm not very tech savvy and don't review very often but I felt compelled to share my experience because of one incredible young lady. After purchasing my vehicle, I ran into a major paperwork issue that turned into a nightmare. I called so many times about this and not one sales manager would call me back. Finally, after 4 months, I was transferred to the title department and spoke to Mindy. She listened patiently, took the time to understand the situation, and immediately got to work. I could tell she was absolutely determined to fix the problem. And she did. Mindy coordinated with everyone necessary and kept me updated every step of the way. What meant most to me was how she treated me - not like a number or a transaction, but a person. Her kindness, professionalism, and persistence turned a stressful situation into a positive experience I'll never forget. Because of this I will certainly come back to buy my next car! That said right after I got my Acura I called in because I noticed a slight break issue and was told "As is", it's my own problem. Now I'm sitting at a gas station and it won't crank entirely. Since Matt Bowers took over, the service department has geared more to upcharging people for work they probably don't need. They came to an old couple right before me with the same things. Evaporator core cleansing, brake system flush, and a complete fuel system cleansing. I also have a friend that gets their new Hyundai serviced there. Same issues were told to them when getting an oil change. Hey Matt, we are watching you! I used to tell everyone how wonderful this dealership was and recommended it to everyone looking to purchase a vehicle. Not anymore, I don't trust you Matt. You don't make us feel like you care Matt. I'm sure the service department is ringing in alot more money with your new overhaul Matt. But it will come at a cost. People will started realizing and go to other places.

Stay away!!! The single worst experience ever at a service department for a dealer. Never called me a single time after 2 people promised to for 8 days. They tried multiple times to charge me for work covered under my warranty (people pay higher prices than a warranty). They also left my headlights on and killed my battery and told me I needed a new one for $360 even though my battery is less than a year old. They said they had to jump my car to work on it…ik this because my headlights were on off and not “auto” when I picked it up. They tacked on tons of extra work at surged costs despite me never asking for it. They wouldn’t contact me back for 4 days during my attempt to get a loaner vehicle from them. Rancid experience, the worst customer service and astronomical prices. Please help yourself and stay away from these criminals. Zero stars if I could leave it. Melissa is evidently the busiest employee of all time…..

I went in to buy a car for my mother. Mr. Jim B (Sales Associate) and Mr. Jared made my car buying experience exceptional. Both were outstanding throughout the entire process. They were transparent, knowledgeable and honest. There were no high-pressure sales tactics. I highly recommend Mr. Jim B who is an asset to the Matt Bauer Dealership. As well as Mr. Jared, an invaluable individual who deserves his own dealership.
