Good mechanics I can trust. Being a single woman doesn't mean I don't know about cars. I generally narrow the problem down to 2 or 3 things. Chris and G have never given me a diagnostic that I hadn't already suspected. Other mechanics have screwed me over almost every time LOVE these guys!

These guys have been a life saver for me for the last 16 years. I hope they make it through the storm okay and save my cars for another 16 years. They are always busy but work hard to get everybody's cars fixed in a timely manner. I have presented them with some really crazy car problems but G always comes through like a champ. Had a noise under my car n when I called Chris gave me a time to pass by. I did, mechanic cked it out. All o.k. but made time to see if even needed service. Excellent service n friendly. This automotive shop is amazing. They are efficient when it comes to getting an inspection sticker/brake tag. There is a line where you can pull in from the side street which leads to where the outside pump would be located in the service island. They also offer many other car repairs services.

I am sure that the service is excellent due to the fact that the shop was full of cars and people were coming in for services, as I was getting my brake tag. I got a break tag, didn't wait for long. The best time to get a tag n not wait is the middle of the month and week. Very nice and fast service. I will bring my vehicle there for maintenance and/or tires! A/C specials also.

BERNARD’S CAR CARE We live just a few blocks away, which obviously is very convenient. Doesn’t matter though b/c I’d walk 30 miles to get my car fixed over at Bernard’s Car Care as they are Very Good, Honest, and Transparent from start to finish (I know honesty and transparency as I am an experienced human lie detector - call it career experience) but most of all Bernard’s Car Care is Affordable. I am telling you from years of experience in using them as I’ve had everything done to my cars over the years from a simple brake tags, pulling nails & screws out my tires, charging my A/C w/ freon to extremely complex engine work and they have never, ever let me down. Having a very reliable mechanic in the neighborhood reminds me of how things used to be growing up old school. It sure is quite refreshing! This reminds me I’ve got to call Cris to schedule my Camry to get new fans installed. So if you’re needing any kind of car care service see Chris and tell him that Randal Nicoll sent you b/c I promise you will not regret it. Stay Safe and keep Motoring.

This is shop is like a time capsule—has that 1960s architectural feel and flow (even in 2025). I don’t drive out this way ever (Metairie lakeside) but it was cool to see. Service is good. Waited 10-15 minutes for their guys to get around to me, but it’s fine bc it was 3:30pm and it’s not a commercial chain business. Will I come again? It’s not super convenient based on where I live but I will write them a review for MARKETING. So if you live near Causeway/Bonnabel, you should get your brake tag here. Note: They do a pretty thorough job, which means you better have your car in good running condition (lights, turn signal, brake lights, high beam, brake light, etc). Random: it is next to the OG Mr Ed’s restaurant (original gangster), which now has several restaurants around the city (Midcity, Kenner, Fat City, etc).
