Horrible experience. I'm not the type to go online and rant but In this situation I feel it is very much needed. I sent my wife in to pick up a battery for me 3 days ago. She brought home a battery that cost $148! She didn't know that you could get a good battery for half that price down the road. Today I took the battery in to ask for a full refund and they wouldn't take it. They kept insisting the battery was "used." There were a smudge marks on the sides where i picked it up (with dirty hands) to bring it back but it had not been installed. I told them this and asked if they could test it to see that it hadn't been installed. They did so and of course it tested as a new battery would, but they still wouldn't return it. I asked to speak to the store manager (his name is Ken) and when he approached me he immediately had an attitude. I was very polite when i simply asked him to return this for me since I couldn't afford it and hadn't been installed. He denied and almost immediately turned to walk off! I asked for the number to their warranty department and he gave me the completely wrong number. To make a long story short, I will never shop in this store again and I will make sure EVERYBODY knows about the horrible service I received from Ken and his employees.

I limped in 20 min before closing with dead batteries in my truck. Without a moments hesitation there were tested and confirmed dead after 5 years on a 48 month battery from interstate. Replaced them for me despite having to stay over closing time. Great products and people. Will always buy from interstate Longview store.

Visited Longview, TX Store 11/6/2023. Had auto key fob problem. They fixed. Had them test my auto while there.. Showed almost ready to fail on my 2020 Buick. They replaced. Very professional and good job. Used memory saver during replacement so memory not lost in vehicle. Had at dealer month ago for oil change, they said battery ok?? Much easier to get replaced at Interstate than fail on side of road in middle of nowhere! Very satisfied except price of new battery, but it is what it is, everything is expensive these days. Good experience!

it was a hot Summer day in Longview and I knew the life in my battery was nearing an end and I didn't want to be stranded. It was in my best interest to go to the people that know the most about batteries instead of heading to a parts store where they only sell them and don't have the extensive knowledge I was looking for. I needed an expert. And at Interstate in Longview I found a few. From the moment I walked into the place I knew it was going to be a life changing experience. On 2 separate occasions I have needed batteries that were difficult to locate. Both times I went to Interstate Battery in Longview and both times I got the batteries I needed. I appreciate the attitudes the guys had and enjoyed their humor! If you need any battery (they have more than just vehicle batteries) give them a try!

I'm from out of state. My battery went bad, and my sister recommended Interstate Battery. I went there and purchased a battery, and I also got the auxiliary battery that my van needed. Mine was swollen and very hot with a low voltage reading. The installer/salesman was super nice, and I'm very happy with my purchase. WARNING! I am SO DISAPPOINTED!! I have used this business for decades and referred my friends and family. Yesterday I had a simple purchase of batteries for my car key fobs. Over the years this has been my GOTO center. The young man who helped me was very kind and took my keys and returned in a matter of minutes with batteries installed ready to go. But when he went to ring up my sale another young man informs him to charge me for 2 “install fees”!! Those two simple batteries cost me $34 with no notice that I would be charged for service. I could have installed them myself! And I would have if I’d been told that the 5 minutes it took would cost me almost $14 each. Sorry Interstate, do better! Won’t be back.

The associate was more than knowledgeable on each and every product I asked about and was glad to show me how to change out the batteries in my key fob for later if I so wished to do so. I asked him about ordering an additional fob and he went out of his way to look it up on the computer without me asking him to so. I'll only shop for batteries with this store and I'll be back to purchase a few portable lights from this store in the near future! I wish every retail store had all their associates work like this gentleman.

I'm a woman alone. We called and was given a price. When I went to get the battery, it was a higher price. I thought I was wrong and decided to buy until I asked if they install. The older man said, for $30. I was shocked! He lost a sale and a patron. I understand information on the phone can be misunderstood. However, no one charges to put the battery, bought from them, in. I am an ASE Certified Master Mechanic and have been loyal to Interstate for 25 years. That loyalty ended today. I have 15-20 batteries between my vehicles and toys, plus what I install in customer's vehicles. So I buy a lot of batteries. I was denied warranty today on a 30 month free replacement because that battery had already failed once before. If Interstate Batteries only last 2 years or less, I'll never give them another dime.
