Long story but Jay used to work on my dads BMW back in the 1980s at Hammersley. I started to get Jay to do my work at Jays Auto once he opened up. They have always been good to me and have a good attention to detail. Fast forward many years and Jays son Chris is taking care of me. Chris is super down to earth and is genuinely there to help. Hes a people person as well as a car person. I like the addition of Mike Kriekeldorff (sp) as Mike used to work on my M3 also. He and Jay also worked side by side for years at Hammersley. Jays got me out of a huge pinch. My 06’ M5 died in Bedford during a trip back to Winchester. After replacing the alternator and reprogramming my battery, I was back in business. I live in Woodbridge, VA and on 4/2/23 was traveling from visiting friends in Richmond to Lynchburg. While on highway 460, a safety warning ⚠️ came on in my BMW X5 indicating my engine had overheated. My vehicle suddenly began to lose power. Thankfully, I was able to safely pull over at a nearby Exxon to call for assistance. The very next morning at 7:30 am, I arrived at BMW Lynchburg to see if I could I have it diagnosed. In the service department, I met Randy, who lacked having any empathy for the situation, and was also short of a technician that day. Unfortunately, the dealership would not have been able to even take a look until sometime the next day. I used Google, which led me to Jay’s Auto. They were literally less than than two miles away. Nikki, in the front office, was extremely helpful and concerned when I explained what happened. Less than 45 minutes later, my vehicle had been diagnosed with water pump failure and all new parts ordered. They also contacted the warranty company on my behalf and navigated the pay out process. My repairs were completed that very same day by close at 5pm. I highly recommend Jay’s Auto for any BMW service needs.★★★★★ a year ago
