Only writing this in concern of who goes does the work for the vehicles and thinking people are not going find something missing Alan and the guys at the front desk are great guys do great work just don’t agree with taking something from someone thinking they won’t know it’s missing with someone who been doing work together for almost 20 years I was baffled by how one of the mechanics up and took my diagnostic device out of my truck great business nevertheless just not ok with it and just will not let be leaving things in the company cars from now on.

HONEST! I was sure I needed brakes to pass the vehicle state inspection. Even told them I thought in needed it. They said they were good. So, even with the expectation I'd have to get brakes done, telling them that, they were honest Good people. My opinion is if they tell you, you need something done - you do. If not, theyll shoot you straight.

Very poor customer service. Left my vehicle for a state inspection at 7:45 in the morning, arrived at 5:45 PM to pick it up and they had not even touched the car. No phone call, no apology. Wasted Uber money and my valuable time. Can’t be trusted with an inspection, I certainly won’t trust them with a real repair.

They will rob you and fix nothing I was told that a state inspection sticker can be placed on a vehicle even if it is unsafe to drive 1000 plus dollars on useless brakes rotors, for it to pass State inspection however, the car no longer runs four days later amazing I wouldn’t go to this place and give him a dollar

I got a flat tire passing through Charlottesville. I was unfamiliar with the area but found the shop through a Google search. I was expecting to have to wait a long time and was not looking forward to it. I had been on the road about 2.5 hours with around 3 more hours to go. As soon as I walked in, William R. was very helpful and understanding. My van was pulled in right away with no wait. Mason H. was kind and quickly determined my tire had a deep cut. I was able to get a new tire and get back on the road. I cannot recommend them enough. They made a stressful situation tolerable and provided exceptional service.

Recently took my 16 year old truck for brake repairs primarily but also some other upgrades that were definitely warranted. The service was timely , courteous, and frank but equally as important was the philosophical Conversation with the assistant manager that made the time there a non .mundane experice.

I took my car here for Virginia State inspection. The inspection was done just fine and the staff was friendly but my car came back with an awful smell of smoke! I can hardly stand to be in my cart it smells so bad! I am never going back to Jenkins automotive.

I highly recommend Jenkins Automotive. I don’t have to come often, but when I do, I’m glad I did. The prices are affordable and reasonable. They do what’s best for you and your car, not trying to get over on anyone. A lot of people think mechanics try to misguide or cheat women (I mean, that’s not what I think. It’s just the typical stereotype!) but I’ve never felt this way about Jenkins. In fact, I feel like they look out for me! For your car maintenance and issues, I highly recommend Jenkins. It is first-come-first-serve so if you can, try to get there pretty early in the morning. If you don’t need your car back right away, call ahead and drop it off.

Been here a couple times. One for a state inspection & oil change. Second one for some repairs. Both experiences there went as smooth as butter. Walked in, addressed the problem, left my car there, had it done before the end of the day. 100% reliable. Moreover, afterwards they communicate with you about what they did to repair your car, so that’s a big plus. A bit pricey but I’m new in the game so nothing to compare it with. Other than that, solid auto shop to bring your car into. Definitely my go-to now.

I dropped off my car on Friday morning for an oil change, state inspection and to replace the valve cover gasket. It is now Tuesday afternoon and Jenkins still does not have my car ready. For something as simple like this I would have expected 24-48 hours of wait tops. This is absolutely ridiculous, be warned.

Took my car in for an annual inspection. The 3rd rear brake light was inoperable due to overheating (it had melted), but the tech was able to repair it, saving me about $150. They could have just installed a new, or used, part. I appreciate the effort, and time it saved me from being without the car.

Been a customer at Jenkins for over a decade. The front desk staff go out of their way to be of assistance and the mechanics are pros. A friendly group that offers fair pricing, honesty and integrity and provide excellent customer service. Highly recommend Jenkins. They are outstanding and care about their community.

This place is always short staffed, simple maintenance takes them way too long and they over book. Probably why the mechanics dont want work and why a customers time isnt respected. Respect yourself and take your business elsewhere. Place used to be reliable, its a joke now

We’ve always had good experiences with Jenkins. Most recently we went to Sam’s Auto center to get tires rotated and balanced. They tried to sell us tires and when we said we don’t want new tires we only want our tires rotated and balanced they declined doing the service. We went to Jenkins and asked them to look at the tires. They recommended a rotation, said a balance isn’t necessary and suggested an alignment. They didn’t try to sell us tires we didn’t need. They are fair and honest. The only reason we gave a 4 star review rather than a 5 star is only because they are so busy it’s hard to get in. Highly recommend Jenkins! Good honest folks.

Extremely welcoming and fast. They fit me in to do a state inspection within minutes and were done by the time I had finished my Starbucks Coffee from a shop about 100 yards away. Best of all, they had a card about moving over when first responders have their lights on. Great service and great reminder.

I own Charlottesville Gutter Pros and our shop is right next door to Jenkins. What a gift!! They service our entire fleet: Fords, Nissans, Chevy, and even our staff’s personal vehicles. I love their hours (open at 7am, open till late, and open Saturday) and they maintain a pretty fast turnaround most of the time. We haven’t had any negative experiences since we started 2022. Their office staff are sharp and on the ball. Very grateful for Jenkins and I recommend them!
