I've been a northern transplant for 5 years & haven't needed an auto mechanic till last week. Daughters car had a vibration at 60+ MPH. Took it to Jerry's at the recommendation of a work associate. Glad I did. He had it diagnosed in 5 minutes. I even had some additional preventative work (timing belt & trans service) done. Honest & fair prices. Highly recommend these guys.

I really liked Jerry's, until I didn't. My experiences with Jerry's had always been good, and I felt like they were fair and honest with reasonable prices. Until I brought in a '95 F150 with a very rusty undercarriage that I had just bought - for an alignment. I had just gotten tires put on as an emergency from a different place, and didn't want them doing the alignment, so I brought it to Jerry's & told them what I needed. They asked what it was doing, drifting, pulling while braking, etc, and I simply said "nothing that I noticed, but I just got tires and I just bought it, so I want to get it adjusted & aligned" - OK he said. I return late that afternoon, pay my $85 (which I felt was a little high already), and went on my way. A week later, I was in Tampa and went to a shop a friend had recommended to see if they could get rid of a squeak & some noise that sounded like it was coming from the suspension. I told him I thought the previous alignment was going to help it, but there was no change. After a few hours, he called me back, and said my alignment was dead on perfect, but it had not been adjusted in years, as the rods were rusted, and couldn't be adjusted without being able to visibly see exactly what had moved, and that it would take a tremendous amount of effort. So, instead of letting me know my alignment was already perfect and charging me a nominal fee for checking, Jerry's charged me for a full alignment, and said nothing of it already being good - or about it being rusted to that extent. I've moved my business elsewhere.

My appointment was for 7am, taken in immediately, 2 new tires ordered and delivered in 30 min. Tires installed, wheels balanced and out the door in under 2 hours. I had a tire blow out while travelling on 95S. It was late but I was told to go to Jerry's garage. I called in the morning and was told to "come on over darlin!" I was greeted by Louis who was very pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and understanding. He went above and beyond in his service for me. I would recommend this place 100% Edit: This review is for Jerry's place in South Carolina. I don't know how it got posted for the location in St. Pete because I was never there.

I LOVE having a place that I can bring my car and not be ripped off! Jerry only fixes what needs to be repaired and can do it for much less than the dealer's price. His work is consistent and I've never had to go back to have any work done a second time. I've referred other girlfriends that have been ripped off by other mechanics in the area, and they are all happy with Jerry's service as well!

My ex boss suggested this shop to me 10 years ago and I wont go anywhere else for my repairs or maintenance. It would be very hard to find a more honest, trustworthy, quality minded repair shop. It is very clear to me Jerry's is exactly what you want when needing work on your vehicle. The work is done correct the first time and the price is spot on. With so many CROOKS out there it is very refreshing to have such a great business to trust and rely on when needing auto repairs.

*April 2017* I am thankful for Jerry's Automotive in St. Pete. Not only was my car repaired quickly and at a reasonable price, they took extra time to give me a ride home and to put my mind at ease about my car by driving it and talking to me about the repairs. I value the service and respect I was shown here and feel that Jerry is trustworthy and a genuine person as well as a knowledgeable mechanic. I would recommend Jerry's Automotive to family and I will return there for any automotive needs. Thank you. Update: *June 2018* I want to add to my review because I have had another great experience at Jerry's Automotive. One thing that really stands out to me is how honest Jerry is. Last year I had a different mechanic tell me emphatically that I really needed a new clutch. That is an expensive repair. I took my car to Jerry's for a second opinion on the recommendation of a friend. I was willing to pay for a new clutch and Jerry knew that. He told me I definitely did not need a new clutch. This really speaks to his honesty and the fact that when given a clear opportunity he refused to take advantage of a customer. That was over a year ago and my clutch is still just fine. Today he did another quality repair and I am seriously grateful to have such a good mechanic in my neighborhood. Also, Jerry and Barbara are more than happy to answer questions, which really gives me peace of mind. Thank you both, once again, for the excellent service.

Jerry’s was a really positive experience. I had to drop my car off there on a Sunday evening and leave my keys. Even though they were fully booked with appointments that whole week, they took the time that Monday to diagnose my repair and since it was relatively simple they also repaired it that day. They were communicative, friendly, and very fairly priced. Great mechanic shop!

There is a reason he has almost all 5 star reviews. I had an issue after I had my radiator fixed at the Toyota dealership and Jerry was able to take care of me immediately, in addition to giving me some good advice on dealing with dealerships going forward. This is a classic family shop that puts customers first, he was very caring, efficient, and communicated everything to me. Appreciate businesses like this now a days.

Jerry is awesome! I foolishly dropped part of my throttle body into the belt area after a repair. I thought I damaged an electrical wire. That was not the case. A very reasonable diagnostic fee and a new part and it was running like new. What a great wealth of knowledge Jerry and Jason must have to be the only two mechanics on the job with nothing but 5 star reviews. A member of my church recommended him and I couldn't be happier. If anything breaks and I can't fix it I'll be back! Lol.

I found Jerry’s from a discussing online about “the most honest mechanics in St. Pete” and his name kept coming up. Well I can say the same thing first hand. Had my car in the shop at 7am and out by 4:30pm full fixed! Gave a fair price, told me the things that didn’t need fixed, and just fixed what needed to be fixed, and off I went. How all mechanic shops should be, but aren’t. I’m only going back to Jerry’s in the future!

Jerry was a pleasure to work with. I had previously had my car at Victory Automotive, who did a diagnostic (charged $85 for) and the quoted massive bill. I called around a few shops for their prices, who were mostly over half of what Victory quoted. Jerry’s was professional and timely with getting me a quote, scheduling the service and completing the job quickly, and well. He also happened to have the best price, compared to 5 others. We are still recovering from Hurricane Helene destroying our home, and it feels really settling to know that if I have another issue with my car, I can bring it to Jerry’s knowing that they will treat me right, charge me fair and help me keep my wheels on the road. Bonus was that Jerry had a genuinely kind energy when I met him in person. Seems like a really good guy, running a really good shop. Can’t ask for much better than that. Thanks for helping us!
