Gary as usual is great and always explains clearly the plan to keep my vehicle in top running order.I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car care. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: I'm new to the York area and own older vehicles that require using the brain and common sense to analyze instead of computers. It's difficult to find anyone using "old school" common sense anymore but look no further. Alex, Dale and the gang at Jim's Auto Repair truly care about your vehicle and even followed up with me after a few days go make sure all was ok with their work. Who does that? If you're fed up with searching for a quality, honest, family owned service center to handle all of your auto service and inspection needs, give these guys a try. You will be glad you did. Gary was excellent to work with! My vehicle had been towed to his shop and Gary immediately diagnosed the problem. Upon learning that it would be a $3,000 fix, Gary gave us time to decide what we wanted to do with the vehicle and did not put any pressure on us to dump money into a vehicle that wasn't worth it. Gary provided great customer service every step of the way and I would not hesitate to use his garage in the future!

This was my first experience with the commonwealth's vehicle inspection requirement as we just moved from a state that doesn't pillage their own residents. 🙂 Thanks to my neighbor for recommending Jim's. Jim's shop has an old school auto repair feel with modern twists: they have text & email capability and they accept credit cards. I was kept fully apprised of a minor repair issue and found the shop flexible with the inspection and after hours pick up of my vehicle. I don't think you could go wrong using Jim's for your vehicle needs and they will most certainly be my go to from now on.

I was given a strong recommendation by someone to use this shop. I stopped in with no appt and in desperate need of brakes. They couldn’t handle me immediately but provided a solution including a courtesy ride. The repairs were completed promptly and for far less than I have paid in the past for the same work. Recently moved to a different part of York and was in search of a good garage. Jim garage is a honest garage with integrity. I knew the tires were getting close to needing replaced, they passed but told me this winter they are not going to be great. Jim provided me quotes for several different tires without any pressure to buy as the car had already passed state and emissions test. My wife and I will be coming back as we look forward to providing them business. It is nice to deal with honest and respectful mechanics who are awesome at their job.

Great shop. They diagnosed and identified my A/C problem in my Ford truck when others couldn't. They were very responsive to my timeline for needing the truck back. And then when there was a minor follow-up problem, they fixed it promptly. I also noted that there seemed to be good camaraderie and chemistry with the team and that is a good sign of a good work environment which benefits the customers.

If you know that you are not going to see my car the day they tell me. Take my car Thursday, he said he would call me Friday, wait all day on Friday and no call calls to see at 3 pm on Friday tells me they closed early, they call me on Monday. I call today, Monday, and they say they will see my car possibly this week. Super disorganized, not recommended, pick up my car today wasted time. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬👺
