The owner Mike is a genuine guy, really cares for anybody who comes through those doors and makes sure you're taken care of. The whole staff there at JK goes above and beyond. The technicians Rudy and Albert are exceptionally knowledgeable about these vehicles and the service advisor Danny is hospitable to say the least. Been taking my S60 here for two years and it will never see the inside of another shop. It's a good feeling to know there's a local shop that I can trust with my Volvo. Best Volvo Specialist shop around and it's not even close. Besides, there's a reason this place has been thriving for over 40 years.

I have been taking my daughters mini Cooper’s to these guys for the last couple of years and have yet to be disappointed. Prices are extremely reasonable, service is fast and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for an independent repair place for your mini Cooper, I would highly recommend them. Mike and Danny, you’re amazing!

I took my Volvo to JK Volvo over 10 years ago for the first time. My car was running perfectly, but in anticipation to a very long drive, I requested that everything be checked for safety reasons. I was fine at the time with the very expensive repair bill ; I trusted them. Had JK do all the maintenance for all these years, over 10. This time when I requested the same: a Safety Check. Car still running fine. I received a bill again that was very high, around $2,500. The disappointment was that for that $ all that was done were, hoses belts and the car battery. I took my Volvo elsewhere, and the new place had to replace the Bushings: an honest repair. My loyalty to JK Volvo cost me many $, and could have cost me my car.

Mike and Danny, JK Volvo are the best. I've been going to them for years and they always do expert repairs at a fair price. They're Volvo experts and they both explain all the repairs in advance in a way that I can understand and they give me the pros and cons on any repair for my older model. They even helped me with some unacceptable repairs I got elsewhere. I trust them and I feel fortunate to have found them. It's always worth the drive or the tow! Thanks JK Volvo!

Imprecise and EXPENSIVE. They talk to you as you are responsible for sth wrong in your car, especially the guy on telephone, and I can see this is a common issue from other reviews here. They do not negotiate any values, specially the SUPER EXPENSIVE labor. If you don't mind about your dollars and self esteem, go there. This is a place for oil change only customers only, more complex issues? RUN AWAY!

Mike and the JK Volvo team have taken care of my family for decades. They started with the 1996 850 wagon my dad bought new and have continued with my V60. They work hard and quickly, price fairly, and treat you like family. They know Volvos inside and out, and there's nobody else I'd trust to take better care of my car. Took in 1997 volvo 850 for a change of brake pads and rotors. brake pads were cheap. Squeaked from the moment they were placed until i removed them and replaced them again(drove 2000 miles with the piercing squeak hoping they’d break in). Not only did I spend way too much on this brake job, I ended up looking(sounding) like a cheapo who neglects their car. Go here if you like setting your money on fire.

Fantastic service, good and honest people. I brought my car in for an issue with the brakes. Instead of over-selling me, they gave me the honest answer which ended up requiring no extra parts or labor. Super quick service (I was there and back within my 1 hour lunchbreak with time to spare!), friendly and kind staff with outstanding integrity. I had JK put a rebuilt engine into my C30. I called them to ask for an estimate and Mike offered to sell me an engine he bought for his own car. It was extremely reasonable. They did a great job, and it was relatively fast considering the scale of the service. Everyone there is extremely nice and put up with my BS. Case and point, after the installation I had some issues and an engine mount broke. JK had it replaced free of charge. Furthermore, they are all extremely knowledgeable about the cars they work on. Rudy and Mike didn’t hesitate to give me their honest opinions on the car.

Mike was very responsive to my calls and tried to help. However im very disappointed on the artistry of my vehicle; not only they not Install back the windshield trim holders, but my engine compartment was full of some wood debris, also now I can not go over a bump without my windshield, making a squeaky noise..... Super annoyed! Only giving a 3 because of customer service. Not to mention that when I started to drive the sunroof boot fell on my head -_-.

I've had nothing but good experiences with the people at JK. As somebody who spends a lot of time around Volvos and is a member of a Volvo club, I will be the first to tell you these cars are not in any way perfect. Being a luxury brand, they have many underlying problems that can arise when not cared for properly. To give an example, my car has many cooling hoses that if left unchecked can fail prematurely and cause catastrophic engine failure. In light of this, I must stress that it is important to have them maintained properly by focused and knowledgeable mechanics. But more importantly, you should choose a mechanic with a background in working in these cars. I can tell you first hand that the people working at JK are very experienced and knowledgeable in this way. I rest easy knowing that every time I take my car in for an oil change, the mechanic will inspect the vehicle and catch these problems before they happen. On top of that, they are very customer oriented. For example, I have many things that I am in process of replacing. As I previously mentioned, I routinely attend car events and want my car to be in the best condition possible. Whenever JK happens to comes across the parts I need, they let me know and often provide them free of charge. All around, they are great people who take a vested interest in the well being of their customers.

2020 V90 CC with AC Evaporative Core leak. Big job that outside the stealer (dealer) not many are confident touching. I drove from Ventura to Pasadena after disappointing calls with local Volvo experts. Mike was the only one who confidently described the fix and his experience with such repair (Taking apart the dash and cockpit to reach that core). Great job fixing it, Mike. And, great service and updates along the way. Additional repairs were done on the car unrelated to the AC. All top notch, all OEM parts. Bottom line - moving forward, Mike is my mechanic. Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
