John Tried to glue on a valve cover he broke off. Broke a gasket seal made oil leak Said I needed a new motor, towed it to the Mazda dealership and 2300 bucks later and fixing what John did replaced coil packs!!

Went in for tune up. Shop used parts that did not work well on my car. Made SEVERAL TRIPS back and forth to shop due to work not being properly done. Eventually ended up taking my truck to FORD dealer for diagnosis where I found out. The wires used did not match and shown significant signs of wear although I had just got it done within a 2 weeks ago. Plugs also wore worn. John told me my computer was bad instead of verifying his work and correcting the problem. I ended up having to buy the correct parts out of pocket and of course paying for the dealership diagnostic... I spent upwards of 700 regarding my tune up because I went to John's auto. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Find a better, reputable auto shop.---John did end up honoring his warranty. Part of the issue was that he used autozone parts. Their parts didn't work in my ford. Oreilley and advanced auto parts solved the problem. Ultimately John stood by his warranty.

100% recommend John's Auto Repair. I took my car to Meineke in Oakville, and was told I needed $1500 worth of work to get my car to pass state inspection (see that review for details). Needless to say, I didn't believe a word they said, and got the name of John from a coworker. I called and asked if I could make an appointment, and he had me come that evening. I provided the "fail" paperwork I had received from Meineke, and John took my vehicle in to inspect it. He told me there was NOTHING wrong with my car, and all of those repairs had been manufactured to make money. John could easily taken advantage of me by telling me my car needed some of these things done, but he was honest and told me there was nothing wrong. I will definitely be returning here when my car actually does need work.

IVE HAD 5 OF MY OWN VEHICLE WORKED ON TGERE & IM TOTALLY SATIFIED WITH RESULTS N PRICING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. John replaced my cv axle, control arm, and more. Picked up the part for me down the street that I ordered that wouldn't be in until the next morning while I was at work and got the job done in 1 day. He could tell I was in a major crunch with my job and couldn't miss any work. This man is amazing and I could not thank him more or be more appreciative of his great service.

Great mechanic, very knowledgeable, fair prices. Update 8/26. I stopped going to this guy a few years ago. He orders black market parts yet charges you OEM prices. Also, he lets his son who at the time was like 16 or 17 work on your vehicle so stay with your car to make sure hes doing the repairs not his son. He also doesn’t stand by his warranty’s. I definitely would not recommend him. He definitely gets over on his customers. 😞

My family used to go to John's for quite some time from around 2000 to 2008 or so. We moved out of the neighborhood after that and used other mechanics. I'm not sure what happened. Maybe people were getting over on him and his family or we were just naive back then. But things have changed. Recently, we moved back closer to his shop and I wanted to have the upper control arms replaced on my SUV due to torn ball joint boots. John quoted a very good price and it appeared he replaced the parts and turned the work around VERY quickly.... Almost too quick. 🤔 Under closer inspection, and when I could smell the high temp paint, it appears they rebooted the old ball joint and painted the upper control arms black you can still see some of the old rust. (See video). I think John remedied the issues but I wish he was more honest. I'm more disappointed than anything to be frank. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.
