Jorge is the best. I highly recommend this place for any car service. Service is quick, fast and affordable( way affordable than dealer place). This guy has more than 20 years of experience and is so down to earth. I did a brake pad replacement today at this place, I went to his place just by looking through google reviews and the reviews stands correct and because of my experience today, I have to write review so that others can see this. I purchased my breakpads from autozone online and took to Jorge for replacement. We figured that the rear breakpads were not correct for my vehicle ( not sure why autozone keeps stuff like this online). Jorge really helped a lot, he took me in his vehicle to autozone store and I ended up purchasing correct breakpad. Hard to find this humble and honest mechanic :)

Once I found the garage everything else went smoothly. I thought I had a bad bearing so they tested and replaced it in under 24 hours, as they said they would. The car is riding much more quietly now. The cost was IMMENSELY less than the usual mechanics I visit, which was a real life saver. Five stars for that and the quick work. If you you're heading south on S. Hoover from Miami, you'll see the sign for his shop at the T-intersection with Ashe. Go straight across into the gravel lot and follow it all the way back to the metal hangar.

Bunch of really nice guys here, family place, but unfortunately they charged me $280 (under the table) for a wheel bearing they did not replace. Noise persisted, took it to a different shop, the different shop reports that nothing under the car looks like it has been touched at all. If you go, just make sure that your problem is resolved and the work you're paying for is done!

TL;DR: Great finished product, good price, fair communication, poor turnaround time. I needed an engine repair. They told me the engine was not salvageable and recommended a new one. The new engine arrived, they installed it, but it turned out to be a "bad" engine and required negotiations with the engine supplier to get a completely different one. The engine replacement was performed a second time, and finally it was finished (and worked very well on a long road trip). The entire process lasted over two months, which was simply way too long. The main mechanic with whom I communicated was Junior; nice guy, I think he made sure we had a quality finished product, but communication could have been more frequent. Overall, three stars, mostly for the excessively long turnaround time.
