I would avoid unless you hate your money. “Premium parts” at 300% markup, they misdiagnose expensive things such as catalytic converters, and they got the ole bait and switch down. They’ll lower diagnostic costs to appear trustworthy, but then tell you that your car needs a $2k repair when it needs a $50 sensor. And when I told them my catalytic converters was good and they misdiagnosed it, they said that I was “trying to get free work” when I never asked for ANY further work OR my money back. Personally, I won’t go back EDIT!!! It was just the sensor and I didn’t need a catalytic converter it was a crushed exhaust pipe.

I had not realized they had moved from their prior location on SanJacinto St, — love the new location!!! Went for replacement of disc brakes front and back…. Last year they had replaced the engine/water pump, etc after I had been towed in at a friends recommendation…..needless to say they did a fantastic job!!! Unfortunately they were doing repairs to the street that ended with a ENORMOUS GAS PIPE LEAK leading to evacuation- - my car was done and I was just paying them a policeman walked in requesting immediate evacuation…. Then a fireman came in and said it would be too dangerous to remove the car from the service bay…, they insisted I keep my money till I could take my car … piled me into THEIR car and graciously took me home….. cannot say enough about their amazing composure under such stressful conditions…. That in addition to the fact that their mechanic work is exemplary!!!

I have been taking both of my cars to Chris for the past couple years, wether it’s in regards to regular maintenance or when something goes wrong. He’s an honest mechanic who doesn’t try and cut corners, he proves his loyalty and confidence in his work by constantly staying active on social media platforms so that you can see for yourself the value he puts into his work. I’m super happy I found this mechanic. After dealing with a failed compression test on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler, I needed to shop around for a new engine. In comparison to 2 other local shops, Jose’s was able to find me a refurbished engine with a great warranty at the best price. Great garage, great guys! I brought them an old econoline van that had been sitting for a while, they treated it like their own, gave it a thorough diagnostic and got right down to what it really needed. I found Jose Auto Repair by accident. I’m glad I did. I was told by another mechanic that I needed a head gasket. My car didn’t smoke leak oil or run bad so I stop by Jose’s shop for a second opinion. Josh ran a scan on the check engine light, did some magic under the hood. I don’t know what it was and asked me to drive the car for a week and bring it back. When I left the shop the check engine light was off and it hasn’t come back on after a week. I took the car back Josh check everything and said everything looks Great. That’s like a $2800.00 savings Thank you Josh & Jose! FYI Jose Auto Repair will be opening a Smog service in April.

I was hearing a noise coming from my brakes which Jose Auto had repaired some months ago. They close at 12:00 pm on Saturday. I arrived at the shop expecting to make an appointment for next week to have my brakes checked at 11:45 am 15 minutes before closing. Chris the owner told Victor one of his mechanic to take my SUV for a test to see if he could hear or feel anything. He did and we got back to the shop Victor talked to Chris and the next thing I knew they put my SUV on the rack and had all four tires of.
