This is the BEST mechanic I have been to in 35 years in the valley. Matt went above and beyond. He found a squeaking problem in my truck that 3 other mechanics couldnt find or fix. It was a hot week in Hemet and Matt didnt give up on my truck. I really appreciate his attention to detail. As well as his fair prices. My wifes Jeep had an HVAC issue and Matt fixed that too! I highly recommend this place.

I went to Pep Boys and they told me I needed to replace the receiver drier and the air conditioning hose. They were going to charge me $800 for the labor itself. I refused to pay that much and decided to look around and ask around on my local Hemet Facebook group. A lot of people recommended Matt at Backs Quality Car Care. Matt was able to determine that I DID NOT need to replace any parts. Then he charged my a/c with his top-of-the-line tools and was able to get my a/c blowing ice cold air in LESS THAN AN HOUR!! I paid $75!!! I’m very satisfied and I will be going to Backs for all of my car needs from now on!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! THANK YOU MATT!!!!!!

Had my truck towed in 2 days ago to diagnose a vibration that another mechanic couldn't identify, matt was open to answering any and all questions I had and stayed in communication the entire time, after diagnosing it and getting parts ordered, my truck was fixed for less then 200 bucks when the initial mechanic tried charging 2000 for a rear end. If you need a quality shop who doesn't lie or over charge them it's backs all the way!

I just moved here and my landlord recommended here. Been using them for years. I had my caravan at Dodge for 3 weeks $3500 still trying to get me to do more work. it was crazy because my van has been great. The last straw came when they told me radiator was leaking. I paid to tow here. Wish I would have come here first. He did a thorough testing on my van drove it for 30 miles and up a hill which I know dodged did not do at all and tell me nothing was wrong with it. Excellent price explained everything very nicely not condescendingly and even came and picked me up pick up my van this will be my go-to shop if I ever unfortunately need it again LOL

Do you remember many years ago when a good mechanic would do quality work for a fair price? Well, Backs Automotive is that place. For YEARS I've been putting off repairs to my truck because of the crazy labor costs in this valley. Let's just say, after new struts, springs, replaced rear door latch, headlight buckets and bulbs, Im driving again. Matt, is polite, fair, honest and hard working, he is my mechanic now. As a retiree, I dont say that lightly.
