Best auto repair experience I have ever had. I went to K&A after I found it online-google. I stopped in simply to make an appointment, and Jerry took the car for a test drive and identified the problem right then and there. He asked if I could leave the car that day and he would fix it the next. WHICH HE DID!! It was cost effective, and timely. Seriously, I never write reviews for anything but this was OUTSTANDING. They didnt try and sell me extra garbage like they do everywhere else. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. Dont go anywhere else. My repair would have cost double at a stealership. I can promise I will not take my VW Golf to any other garage in Buffalo.

I went here to avoid the Stealership and he was no different!! I must say he is knowledgeable and will fix the issue you have but at the same time he will break something else to make sure you return!! My mother needed a simple coil and spark plug replacement which he fixed and slightly over charged for. However not even 24hrs after having the car back a coolant hose came apart and began spraying coolant all over my mother’s engine. He fixed that issue and then a Week later ANOTHER coolant hose just flew apart as if they were loosened smh mind you my mother car had no engine light or any major issues prior. Now we may have to trade her car in because he put sealant in the radiator for NO REASON and he knows sealant will mess up the radiator so we can return again. If you don’t want to keep dishing out money, don’t come here!

Can't even review the shop. But here's a fair review of My experience when I called. Some miserable man picked up their phone. I chose that word bc he Was being all short and weird like they don't want business. All I asked was one simple question bout getting probably a 2 thousand dollar job done. Then I tried to ask for a ballpark figure or tell me how much it would typically be if charged by book hours and was told they need to see the vehicle. Then there was an awkward silence as he didnt explain if this meant diagnostic fees, how much etc. Didnt tellcme when i could come in. Like i said not too inviting of business Lol unreal what's going on nowadays. I just said ok thanks and hung up. Waste of time. Can't imagine what the actual shop / service would have been like. Dodged a bullet IMHO

Jerry used to be a good valu but he’s as much or more than the dealer these days and won’t take credit cards. His English gets worse when he’s trying to BS you. Once he figures out how much you know or he thinks you trust him your done, he’s replacing the most expensive part connected to your problem and he’s marking it up 500%. The word must be getting around his lot used to be full all the time ride by not anymore, I think he’s looking to retire now.

If you have a foreign car there is no one more qualified than Jerry and Kyle. No, you will not get your car back the next day. Maybe not even the day after that. The shop is in high demand. They specialize in imports. I'm sure they would love to do an oil change, but if that's what you're looking for, go somewhere else. If you want someone to take care your valuable car somewhere that can be diagnosed and serviced properly, make this your shop. Many years ago I was in a car accident and allowed another company to fix my car, a company suggested by the insurance company. It was a turbo charged Audi. That other shop destroyed my engine. And destroyed two replacement turbo chargers while they were trying to fix it. They had to pay out thousands of dollars to me because they did not know how to fix it. The insurance company chose to total the car. I said no way and took it to Jerry; and 3 years later it has 140,000 miles on it and purrs like a kitten. He still takes care of it. You don't ever have to question his integrity. After I took it to him, he knew exactly what had happened before speaking with me and the cost was the same as the other shop, and yes he threw in a free oil change. If you're looking for a receptionist to answer all of your calls and call you every other hour to give you the status on your car, that's not going to happen there. They are too busy fixing cars the right way.

Extremely unprofessional. My car sat in his lot for over 24 hours and he never even gave me price quote. After 3 undelivered promises to call me back, I had to physically come there and he insulted me by saying he didn’t provide me a price because he didn’t think I had enough money!! He’s probably a racist, which allowed him to come to that conclusion. I took my vehicle to Firestone on Sheridan drive, which may have cost me more, but the pleasant service they provided me was worth it. He’s knowledgeable, but I wouldn’t let him work on my lawnmower!!!

This goes out to all you owners of expensive foreign cars that are still having your car serviced by the dealer. I can emphatically say you are missing out on the best DEAL in town. This gem is located at 1784 Eggert Rd, Amherst, NY 14226, corner of Eggert Rd. and Sweet Home Rd., not far from Sheridan Dr. His name is Jerry Kaczor and he has a small work shop. No secretary, so whenever you call, you end up talking directly to Jerry. I have a 10 year old BMW. The first 8 years were serviced at the dealership and even though I didn't pay for any service in the first 4 years, I came to the realization that in the following 4 years I actually paid for all 8 years. These last 2 years have been with K & A Auto Repairs and my car never performed better. You get prompt professional service, excellent results and all at a very reasonable price. It is understandable when you consider you're not paying extra for a lot of advertising or a large supportive staff with health and retirement benefits. You are only paying for the service. Think about that the next time you drive into the dealership to drop off your car for service. K & A Auto Repairs deserves a 10, but Google only allows a top rating of 5.

I’ve been going to K&A auto for over 20 years, I had the privilege of working with Jerry and his dad at the time and now it’s Jerry and Kyle. I have recommended my mom, dad and other family member’s including my uncle and our police force friends. Everyone has been very satisfied with their pricing and quality of service. It amazes me when an individual (Pete Seger) states that he charges 500% over the price. People should really provide evidence before tearing someone’s business and livelihood apart. These gentlemen work very hard to help people and I highly recommend them for all types of vehicles.

I have been having my cars serviced by Jerry at K&A for about 8 years. He has regularly cared for our '94 Volvo 850 Wagon and '95 Camry for about 7 years (we have upgraded now). These were old cars both with well over 150,000 miles and needed regular maintenance. Jerry almost always was able to take care of problems the same day they were dropped off. Yes he only takes cash, but if he knows you he may take your check. We have a new "hand me down" now a '97 Caddy. I dropped it off this AM with a non functioning drivers window, cruse control dead, brakes lights not working, oil change needed. Window needed a new motor, which Jerry replaced with a rebuilt one. I appreciate that he will use reconditioned parts when available (and let you know), I have never had a problem and they are less expensive. Everything was done at the end of the day. Not the most complicated problems but I am very happy to have that window working again. Not to mention it is good to have working brake lights. I have returned to this shop time and time again because it is hard to find a mechanic you can trust.

This is my go to mechanic. I’ve been going here for 2.5 years after shopping for a decent mechanic. I had some ok experiences elsewhere but still wasn’t thrilled with any particular mechanic. But, I finally made it to k&a and Jerry has taken excellent care of my car, my wife’s car, and us in general. He never overcharges us. He’s very honest about what he thinks is going on and what the options to fix it are. He knows how to treat his customers. Would highly recommend you make him your mechanic. Great work!
