Ken's was able to fix the A/C in my car the same day and kept me informed with what was going on! They also took time to do a thorough check on my car and reported items that needed attention and did not pressure me to have them done right then. Everyone was so friendly and professional! I took my newly purchased car here to get a state inspection, worried that it might not pass since it was 10 years old and had over 90,000 miles. I was also in a time crunch to get it done. I was able to get an appointment right away the next day. My car technically did not pass the inspection initially…it had a single bulb burnt out, which they changed for me so I would pass the inspection! I was charged a reasonable amount and was provided with a link to a very detailed list of my car’s systems and their condition, complete with photos, so I knew what was going on with it. When I went to pick it up, they had even included a nice thank you note! Unexpected, but a very nice gesture. I was very happy with my service.

While Tyler is very knowledgeable about the mysterious inner workings of a modern automatic transmission, I was especially surprised by the integrity shown at this shop. I brought in a low-mileage truck showing early signs of tranny issues and after a very through inspection (driving it 80 miles to replicate the issue) he recommended a course of action that didn't involve them doing an expensive overhaul. Putting the customer's best interest first, even if it means not making money, is rare and I would not hesitate to bring any maintenance problem here, and would recommend it to anyone needing work done.

I had been traveling to visit family in Frederick and had a mechanical emergency. Before I had left for my trip to Frederick, I had my oil changed at the dealership. Drove 2 hours to my destination. Spent the day and night with family. When I came out in the morning, there was oil all under my car! Checked my oil and the pan was almost empty. Called AAA to have it towed to a repair shop because there was that much oil gone. My family said there was only one place they trusted with their vehicles and that was Ken’s. So glad I listened. Turns out the dealership never put the plug back in the pan. Ken’s did a great job getting me in and taking care of my car on such a short notice. They checked everything out, put in a new plug and added new oil. And ensured me my car was safe to drive back home. Thank you, Donna and the Mead family.

Took my 2012 Equinox to Ken's Automotive & Transmission, Frederick , MD to repair my air conditioner. They charged me $1,500.00 and they never fixed the air conditioner. They guaranteed me excellent service, but they gave me the worse repair service I have ever received from a car mechanic. They even refused to take my vehicle back for repair even when it was under warranty for quality work. There customer service Representative - Nick was uncooperative and rude to me and wife, we are two senior citizens who are in a fixed budget and were taken advantage by shysters. I will never take or recommend them to no one for vehicle service..... I pray to God they will be out of business, they don't deserve to be business owners. I curse your business....

Custom 2019 F250 had new wheels mounted and balanced and had special requests with alignment They never questioned my requests and satisfied my needs with the right knowledge even tho the computer probably told them otherwise (like other dealers) custom knowledge is hard to find! I like to service my truck myself and they noticed oil change light was on but never pushed a thing also noted some important things that needed to be done like coolant flush and differential fluid during full inspection.(they actually inspected) Very happy with this service and will continue to use Ken’s! P.s. They left a thank you note in cup holder as I returned to truck it was very comforting and felt that much more caring!

My first time using Ken’s. I’m from out of town and lost my transmission. I needed a transmission rebuild and Ken’s took on the job right away. I got a fair price and the job has been completed and I’ve had no issues with the transmission rebuild. Nick was my advisor and was friendly and professional. The shop was clean and the office area organized and comfortable. I have found it hard to find trustworthy and competent service shops, so I’m very happy to have found Ken’s.

I brought my 2017Jeep Patriot in for a transmission service. Nick the advisor called and pointed out some other things that needed attention. My battery failed the load test. But they didn't try to upsell or talk me into anything that didn't have to be done immediately. I appreciate that in a service shop. A long time ago I had a vehicle that had an issue with the transmission and I took it to another mechanic and they tried to charge me 3000.00. I told them I was going to get a second opinion and I took it to Ken’s Transmission and they looked at it and told me it was something minor and charged me 58.00. I remembered that and went to them again with my other vehicle and they were still very kind and nice and fixed my issues and I am very happy with their service. Very thorough shop. They gave me an accurate price at quote, finished the job quickly, took pictures and have reasonable labor costs. However, I found OEM parts from the GM Dealer down the road for half of what Kens Automotive charged me for parts. The parts were in-stock and quoted by GM Fitzgerald. I could have avoided that surprise at the credit card reader by asking for a breakdown at the initial quote and verifying part costs before the work was done. I will still recommend them. Just do your research on your quote breakdown.
