Went there they quoted me for a clutch replacement at $840, and I specifically said i had a dct multiple times, when i got there in the morning he looked up my car and kept trying to tell me that I don’t drive a manual and that i have an automatic.... like really? I have never in the past two years i drive a auto, and then the new quote they gave me was $2200 which is waaayyyy over priced

Their name does them a disservice they are way more than a transmission repair shop they are a full function auto repair shop. They are skilled in all manner of mechanical as well as electrical issues. They are honest and do quality work.

A few months after they swapped out my alternator, the tire they removed to perform the swap feel off on the highway. They claimed to not touch the tire and that I had to pay fifteen hundred dollars, and when I said "that seems shady", the manager hung up on me.

Very helpful and understanding, reasonably priced, and encouraged me to do the fix on my own after diagnosing it. They called me again ~4 months later, unprompted, to check how my car situation was and if I needed any assistance finding a new one. Would highly recommend!

WARNING, King of Ripped off!!!.... I happened to go out of town for business trip. My girlfriend vehicle both headlamps are not working and in needs for going to work. She took her vehicle in to have them looked at. The guy came back with the estimate and told her it would cost $2000 to fix it. Which they have to change the circuit control module and several more parts had to be replaced. I told her to declined and take the car back home I will look at it when I’m back in town. She paid $180. For the diagnostic test that they did and got the car out. I got home the next day changed out both headlamp bulbs $60. and it WORKS......These guys should be ashamed for trying to scam an innocent woman.......Please don’t take your vehicle into this place, worst place ever.

Had to get my transmission replaced and they outlined the time it would take and got it done sooner than expected. Not only that, but every time I called they were friendly and helpful. They worked with my Mechanical Insurance provider so I didn't have to at all. I highly suggest them.

Just awful! We took our car there and paid for them to do a diagnostic and to figure out what's wrong with our vehicle. It was determined that it needed a new starter so we paid over $800 to get it done. We picked up the car and drove it home then half way home, the car started smelling like burnt plastic, it shook and stopped running. We called King's back and had to have a towing service tow our car back to King's. It was reassessed again and they said they weren't sure but think it's the engine! How can they not be sure what is wrong with a vehicle!?!? So we left our vehicle there still trying to figure out what to do with it and we get a notice in the mail that it had been put in the impound!!!!! Why didn't King's call us!?!! They have our keys and our information!!!! Now it will cost us $1400 plus towing to get it out of impound. Allen was the one helping us and I wouldn't trust what he says or the integrity of this shop

Alan took the time to explain to me exactly what was wrong with my car and helped me understand what my options were for repairs. His team was very quick at getting the car back to me as soon as parts arrived, and did so at a very reasonable price. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I was told they would do a diagnostic to find the problem. I was asked at drop off if any lights were showing , I told Allan which lights were on. On Thursday I get a call telling me my alternator was bad, and it would cost $556 for replacement and labor. I told Allen we have a warranty on our alternor and it was nothing wrong with it when we dropped it off. He explained it wasn't kicking out enough juice. We called our warranty in and got another alternator. We heard nothing from Allen until we went by there on Friday morning. Allan then told us the alternator sent was no good also. So he waiting g for them to send another one. After a half day with no communication we called Allen and told him we were coming to pick up our vehicle. When we get there, Allen told us the cost was $434. When asked for what? Allan said they had to replace the alternator 3x. We explained to Allan that was not the issue they were supposed to be repairing. Allan became very upset telling me that he can charge me for the 3x they changed the alternator. I again told Allen he was not charging me for something that wasn't the problem in the first place. I ended up paying because at this point I just wanted my vehicle to take to another place for the original repairs I thought would be completed at King's Transmission. Allen could not explain why those repairs was not completed. He then demanded that I sign the receipt in which I refused. On this receipt he demanded me to sign it said the customer chooses to take her vehicle as is. I told Allan I am definitely not signing the receipt. Allan began yelling at me and threatened to call police on me. I did not sign the receipt and Allan pulled my car out of the port and slammed the door. He did not give me a copy of the receipt, they left my fuse panel open and walked away without even checking to see if my vehicle was cleared of any danger. I will not ever take my vehicle or recommend any one else to use their services. Allan was very unprofessional and a scam artist. Over charging people for unnecessary work. Tyra Plant

We have been using King's Transmission for about 6 years now and they have always done great work for us. From check engine lights to a diesel truck that would die when ever I slowed down these guys have accurately diagnosed the issue and fix the problem and they are great with working within my budget. I have recommended them to everyone I know that needs auto service and will continue to. Thanks Alan and thank you King's Transmission!

Allen was excellent in helping me to get repairs done to my exhaust system (hanging, rusted out muffler) in a timely and cost effective manner. I like this shop so much - I'm going back tomorrow to have my transmission fluid and filter replaced! I daresay you won't find a friendlier, more knowledgeable, or more cost effective auto shop in the area. They fix a lot more than just transmissions too :)

They fixed my car, made sure it was 100% fixed before I got it back. It was a hassle free experience, and the guy at the front counter was very nice and keeped me informed of everything. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Allan and the team at King's Transmission were great. I brought them my car with a problem but also told them that I could not recall if I had the 120,000 service done on my vehicle. I asked them to look it over and tell me if I needed any maintenance. They fixed the problem that I brought the vehicle in for and when asked about any of the needed maintenance Allan told me that the tech didn't bring anything to his attention that needed work. That is the sign of a trustworthy mechanic in my mind. I highly recommend King's Transmission.

I typically like to work on my cars myself, but just don't have time anymore so I rolled the dice on Kings Transmission. Gotta say, glad I did. Prices are about average for the work, but the customer service and excellent communication really sets them apart from other shops. Also, from my experience the work they perform is top notch. So far I've had them replace the clutch, carrier bearing, timing chain with water pump and radiator. The truck is running like a champ. Yes, repairs can get expensive, but not as expensive as getting cheap work and having to do it twice. Give these guys a try.

Had my truck trailered to King's in Kent with an unknown transmission issue. Alan was very communicative with me in pricing before hand and during the time the truck was in the shop. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem for several hundred $ less than the other two shops I received quotes from, with the same OEM part. Glad to know there is a transmission shop near by that I can trust.

This place is fantastic! Alan and his team do a great and very reasonably priced job on my old 2004 Crown Vic Land Yacht. Even when things are not good I feel comfortable and relaxed that they will fix the old beast! I have never worried or been dissatisfied! Ever. Truth be told, they do a lot more than transmissions. Went to them for my 100k transmission flush and now at approximately 140k I've never brought it anywhere else. Sorry, way better than the Ford dealer! Thanks guys! Customer for life!

King's transmission is more than just transmission repair. They are a full service repair shop regardless of company name. Allen, the service advisor at the Kent, WA location is the best I have ever encountered. He knows the business, vehicles, industry and is as honest, cheerful and works as long as a day of sunlight in Alaska during August, hint (24 hours of light). If you want the job done right at an honest price, go to King's Transmission.

These guys were great, Alan always answered my questions thoroughly to ease my mind on questions I had throughout the entire process and even though they ran into issues after the work quoted was paid for, they covered it and worked with my budget so it didn't go over what i had. They treat the tow truck guys well also. 10/10 will always recommend, super pleased with how quickly they got the work done and fit me in to begin with as well.

My experience with Kings Transmission in Kent was overall a good one. From what I seen they're a very busy highly productive shop that works on a variety of makes and models, and are willing to do what they have to do to get the job done right. I would say that my car has one of the more challenging Transmissions to rebuild, and in the end I couldn't be more happy with the work they did and how my car drives. The manager at this location is very friendly and does a good job at keeping you up to speed throughout the repair process. Initially when I got my car back there were some issues with the rebuilt torque converter they use, but the car was drivable. So they ordered the part and were able to have it swapped out and working how it should in just a couple weeks. That was back in the beginning of the summer, and I wanted to wait just a little bit before I wrote a review just to see how things turned out. And as of right now, all is good
