Our experience with the Lake Stevens Automotive team has been nothing but positive! They have always been upfront and honest in their assessment of our car's problems and would call to discuss things before moving forward with any repairs. Once, rather than suggesting an expensive repair on our older vehicle, they advised us that it would probably be better for us to invest in a newer one. We have found the staff and mechanic crew to be friendly and efficient with the work done on our vehicles. Would strongly recommend their services to our friends!

Needed new low beam light on our Subaru Outback. They gave me a quote for one light and a quote for two lights installed. Work was done on time as I waited for the car. Good job. Thanks.

Would recommend lake stevens automotive 10000000%. Me and my husband went on a camping trip. My husband had to drive 2 1/2 hours back home because he left his medication that he cant go without, but when he got home our car that pulls our travel trailer was smoking. He called lake stevens automotive and talked to Kyler who was able to immediately get Ian (our technician)to look at it. Diagnosed it as a water pump issue...but since it was the end of the buisness day, they wouldn't be able to fix it until the next day..when my husband said that it was fine (he thought he couldn't do anything about it) and told them I was stranded 2 1/2 hours away in our travel trailer with our newborn and toddler...they immediately said they would do it that day so he could get back to us. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts! this family owned buisness is absolutely amazing and the two men (Kyler and Ian) are absolutely the best of the best. Thank you!

This is part 1 of a 2 part review. Today, I called LS Auto just to see what their diagnostic charge is, as I never been there and they were very polite and informative. Brandi, took the time to answer my questions. I did not feel rushed. Also, they were able to take my vehicle same day (do not expect this as the norm as I may have been lucky scheduling wise). Anyway, with in a few hours they called me back with their estimate and lead time, and I must say, I was expecting them to have my vehicle (F250) longer. I need to get my front ball joints and power steering gear box replaced, along with, an alignment. They estimated that they can get this all done by tomorrow. If so, I will be pretty happy. Once, I pay and get my vehicle back I will give my review on the estimate accuracy and the quality of the fix. My initial impression on this team, is that if everything goes well I think I found a new repair shop I can go to. The current shop I take my vehicles to are awesome. A little pricey, but awesome. However, LS Auto is right down the street from me so I am hoping it all works out. FINGERS CROSSED!! I will not comment on the pricing, as I know that there is, most likely, a cheaper tech/shop out there. To the same token, there are more expensive places also. If you do not like their pricing go to the cheaper tech and hopefully it works out for you.

I went in for an oil and filter change. Waited 3 forking hours when I had an appointment. Then when they were done it cost me 193.50 for a forking oil and filter change. I will never go there again, and if anyone is reading this, don't go it's a trap.

Honest, reliable and quick service. Went in for an emissions diagnostics and they were done within an hour. When they found problems with my brake caliber, they installed my new purchased one free of charge. I really do feel like they could've saved my life. Thank you Lake Stevens Automotive! You guys truly are my neighbors.

So far I can say only good things about this shop. For years we are bringing our two cars here and received great service at a great price. The only negative I can think off was that once I was told that an issue I had with our Cavalier could be due to needing a tune-up. When I pointed out that they just did a tune-up on it 3 months ago they got things right and fixed the issue (malfunctioning ignition lock) promptly. Seemed like their computer records could be a bit better on all vehicles serviced but that was about it. On another occasion I had a check engine light and wanted it fixed to go through the emission test I had to do. I was told it could be due to a loose connection and after clearing the code I was told to run it through emissions and if there really is an issue it can fixed after that. Well turns out that was it, passed emissions and no issues since. They easily could've charged me $200 and pretend to fix something but they seem to really just fix or recommend to fix things when it is truly necessary. Hard to find a mechanic like that nowadays. Highly recommended.

The people are very nice and helpful. I don't like that if you have multiple problems you have to pay for each problem to be diagnosed. Example, engine diagnostic and transmission diagnostic each come with their own individual charge. Spent $500 just to find out what's wrong with my vehicle without any repairs being done.

Second time I have had vehicle repaired. everyone was helpful and easy to engage with. I liked the use of website to document the repair work needed. Provided a nice list of the issues found, cost to repair and option to accept or decline each item.

Wow! These guys know how to treat a customer. We came in and my daughters car was on its last leg and we brought it in and they got in it immediately. They gave me an estimate for all of the repairs that needed to be done. They sat with me and explained what needed to be done now and what could wait and in what order to get them done! Long story short we got a few repairs and for my daughter 16th birthday we got everything fixed. We set an appointment for Monday to drop it off and it was ready that Wednesday by noon! I jokingly asked if they had already ordered the parts and was waiting for us to come back! They had gotten all the parts and made us a priority (my daughters birthday was the next week!) would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Kind personable and some humor as well!

They were extremely helpful with a diagnostic and thorough to determine the cause. And they saw my car right away. Unfortunately I wasn't able to continue the repair, but that wasn't their fault, and I will likely be back again. P.S. Don't let the driveway throw you, the shop looks great and tidy inside.

This was my first time using LSA and I would say it was an okay experience. I just purchased tires for my vehicle and had them do an alignment. They did a good job on the work and customer service was fair. Where they lost a couple of stars with me is I did not get a print out of the alignment measurements before and after to show me the adjustments that were made. I’m disappointed because I keep these records as a part of my vehicle service history. I’m not your average owner and I like to know every detail of my vehicle-in full honesty, tires and alignments are the only reason I visit service shops. I was surprised to hear LSA does not provide these documents to customers just for alignment appointments. How else does the customer know the work was actually completed? I received a picture of the alignment machine measurements showing everything is in green, but it was fuzzy and I could not tell anything including if it was my vehicle. This review isn’t to say they did not do the work or a bad job, I just don’t believe they completed the transaction and did not build trust with me. It’s something small but having worked in this industry trust is everything. I am detail oriented and want to see that the shop didn’t just set the toe and let it go-I’ve experienced too many bad shops. Based on not receiving all the information and seeing dirty fingerprints on the interior, I will not be returning.

Rated 1 star only because 0 isn't an option. I took my SUV in with a few issues, and they were happy to charge me almost $300 for a diagnostic but after 2 days said they couldn't find any issues. As far as I'm concerned all i paid for was overnight parking, because they clearly didn't even bother with a code reader. One of the issues they said they couldn't duplicate was still throwing the same code it was before as soon as i picked it up. If my cheap $100 code reader can pick up the issue, there's no excuse for them saying they couldn't find it. They told me I could take it back in if the issue "came back" but why the hell would I waste more time and money on them when they're clearly incompetent? I'll just cut my losses.

I had been living in Lake Stevens for 2 years and im sad I never had gone to this place before for oil changes or any type of maintenance! This place is super detailed in checking your vehicle out! Kyler is super cool and honest. Detailed Photos were taken and estimates were given and what I value most about this place is their genuine honesty. Definitely check this place out! Estimates may seem high but you will pay for top tier work done!

Took my car in and they did a brake job and engine belt change out. Service was outstanding. Brakes work perfect. Plan on doing more recommended maintenance later. Outstanding customer service. I would recommend them to anybody looking for a good mechanic at a fair price. Five star service.

Lake Stevens Automotive got me in the next day to do an alignment on my vehicle. They gave me an estimate beforehand and sent me a text message with their findings after the evaluation was completed. I approved the work via text message and the alignment was done promptly. The staff was super nice and pricing was good. I will definitely return to them if/when I need more work done on my vehicles.

Updated per business response: Thank you for your prompt and courteous reply. One star back for your attention and interest in customer feedback. For the record I did not request a (binding) quote, just an estimate for comparison purposes. I stated clearly that it was the maintenance minder (which the advisor did not know anything about), explained what it does, and gave the make, model, and year of the car, which would have enabled your advisor to quickly access the vehicle specs to know what type of transmission it has, as well as the fluid type, and approximate quantities needed for a drain and fill as well as a flush. I appreciate your desire to not misinform the customer, as well as to cover your back, however when a customer requests an estimate for a specific, and routine, service to be performed just give them the info (with appropriate disclaimers, of course). Had a reasonable estimate been provided (which used to be the norm at Lake Stevens Auto) you probably would have had my business. Instead, I felt mistrustful of both the information I was given, and the motives/expertise of the advisor. Hopefully you take this feedback to heart and it helps improve the experience for future customers. Sadly, you've lost this one. *********************** I used to come here all the time. The owners were friendly and fair. Sadly, things seem to be quite different now. Last week the maintenance minder on my Honda gave me a message that it's time for a transmission fluid replacement. My last couple of experiences with their "service advisors" had been negative, but I figured I would give these guys one more try for old times sake, and called for an estimate. I mean, draining and replacing fluids is a pretty simple and standard service, right? I gave the person (Dan?) my make and model information and he said I had to bring the car in for a "diagnostic" (which is now standard with them, and which they charge for) before they could give me an estimate. I said there was nothing wrong with the car, I just wanted them to drain and replace my transmission fluid. Was told that they couldn't tell how much fluid they would need and the cost could be anywhere from $400 - 800 (or more)! Seriously? Now in fairness, I understand the need to charge for diagnostics (why tell someone what's wrong for free, then have them decline service and do it themselves, right?). I also understand they might not know exactly how much fluid, but they should be able to ESTIMATE by looking up the make/model and checking the specs. Finally, labor for this type of service should be a flat rate/book value, so easily quotable. Yet the best he could do was tell me anywhere from $400 - 800 (or more!!!) and the DEALER charges less than half his LOW estimate. I have held off adding a review thinking my last couple of interactions might have been one-offs, but after comparing my experiences with the other negative reviews here and elsewhere, it's clear to see that this not an exception, but is instead a pattern. I will never go there again, and recommend you do not either.

Don't take your vehicle to this shop! They charged me $655 to tell me that my engine was toast! Those were just the diagnostic and engine compression tests. I didn't get any repairs done for that price! I may as well have lit my money on fire! After paying the bill, I could only sell my minivan with a blown engine for $900, so I only netted $245 for my van minus the bill that I had to pay! I feel that the diagnostic fee of $150 is all the money that I should have had to pay. Another $455 for them to perform a compression test, to verify that my engine needed to be replaced for thousands of dollars? They also quoted me $11,000 to put a new engine in a minivan that would never be worth more than $6,000 after a new engine replacement! The only reason that I'm giving them 1 star instead of half a star, is because the people at the front desk are really friendly. It's probably because they're so happy to make some easy money from all the fees that they charged me! Take your vehicle someplace else! That's my advice!

I recently had a new baby girl come into this world, and Christmas is just around the corner. Of course our vehicle had a scary clinking sound that sounded like danger with every bump. I expected to pay a lot at the most inconvenient time of year. Understanding my situation, and with much compassion I was able to be seen right away with the luck of a same day repair! This was thanks to the efforts of the whole team working to find a solution so I wouldn’t have to leave my car over the holidays. They kept the quality high, and the cost more than fair! Thank you to Ian, Dan, and Shawn for helping our little family get back to traveling safely!
