For anything I can't sort out myself on my Audi I bring it to Ben. He understands these cars inside and out from the older ones to current models. I needed to get my transmission serviced and he did that along with letting me know of a few things I'll need to get taken care of in the future. Thanks Ben!

Ben is an awesome mechanic and troubleshooter with integrity. He takes his time and doesn't rush, so you won't find over or under torqued bolts, stripped fasteners installed with power tools, etc... while keeping costs as low as possible. He's an Audi guru but has experience with all European makes of street and race cars. I've worked with him as a colleague and customer for several years across different shops and all sorts of cars. He couldn't come more highly recommended! BTW... that's my AMG GT S in the pic so, yes, I trust him with all of my vehicles.

Ben Lamberson literally saved our lives. My wife and I were on a charity road rally from Denver, through Utah and on to Vegas to bring awareness and fund raising to some very important charities. After we left Denver the A/C went out on my Audi. It was over 100 degrees and with the windows down it was hundreds of miles with a blow dryer blasting us. We approached Salt Lake City around 4:30pm and called the Audi of Salt Lake City Dealership. We told them of our emergent dilemma and they were dismissive and told us we could leave the car there for several days and hopefully they could get to it. I prefer to use independent shops anyway so a quick Google search brought us to Lamberson Auto Sport. I called Ben (owner) and told him our situation. He immediately agreed to stay late and wait for us to get there in the off chance he could help. A/C failures are common on R8's so there are many things that could be causing the problem and we only had a few hours in town before needing to catch up with the rest of the rally group. We arrived at Lamberson and Ben was waiting for us. He tried recharging the system and once pressurized found the system had a leak. Unfortunately, the leak was up front behind the grill of the car. Ben knew exactly what was wrong but it was a bigger job than anticipated because he had to dismantle the front of the car to get to the leak and we also needed a part. It was now after 5pm and parts stores were closed. I told Ben we would just suffer through until I could get the car back home and Ben said he hated to see us driving to Vegas with no air. He called someone who was able to get the part for us after hours and he dashed out to pick it up. He dismantled the front end, replaced the part and recharged the system all while my wife and I waited and watched. During the fix he and I chatted about our shared passion for track racing and cars. Good thing I don't live in Utah as I would probably just hand there.. Long story to say that Lamberson saved our lives as we would have cooked on the way to Vegas. It's rare that you find someone as qualified first off, but also as honest and genuinely nice as Ben. He wanted to do the right thing and went far out of his way to make sure we got taken care with no notice at all. Thank you Ben!!

I can't provide a glowing enough recommendation/review for Ben. He squeezed me in mid-week the 4th of July, repairing my 2006 jetta efficiently and thoroughly. He treated me with respect, and didn't assume that I wasn't interested in the specific repairs he made because I was a woman. Ben is trustworthy and has a passion for diagnosing and repairing vehicles correctly, rather than simply throwing parts and money at problems. I have taken my Cars to Ben for over a decade and enjoyed seeing his passion for making my car right. He listens to his customers and educates them on a course of action that will save them money and get their car the way they need or want it to be. It doesn’t matter if it’s a 1985 GTi or a 2018 R8 GT V10, he will do the same good quality work and enjoy it just the same. If you want more than a mechanic, go to Ben. He’ll set you up.

I took my 1997 BMW Z3 to Ben Lamberson. I have always been skeptical of mechanics in the past because they have often only covered up problems and have not been real with me. Ben was honest and actually took the time to physically show me the issues going on with my car. My engine had been coated in rtv silicone in attempt to fix vacuum leaks by mechanics at Dirty Euro Customs. Instead of telling me to "sell me car" like everyone else, Ben was excited and positive about fixing my car. He could sense how much I enjoy it and wanted it fixed. Ever since I bought the car the drivers window was broken and no mechanic even wanted to attempt it, they told me I needed a new door. Ben had someone weld the door frame, and replaced the entire regulator, which wasn't easy. My window works now and everything is running smoothly. It's really nice to meet someone so passionate and honest, as well as someone who listens and cares. I highly recommend Ben!

I have been going to Ben for over a decade now. No matter where he worked I followed him because of the outstanding work he does. He is honest and is a true diagnostician - a rare find these days. I was so happy that he opened up his own shop! My latest car, Audi A4, I have had since new and it just hit 130,000 miles - Ben has taken care of it for it’s entire life and it has been a perfect, troublefree car. This is due in large part to the care and maintenance program Ben and I have designed. All of my VW/Audi vehicles go to Ben, without question.

Ben is our good samaritan and saved our car, vacation and trip! We can wholeheartedly agree with all previous reviews, he is an exceptional & more importantly honest and trustworthy mechanic, the best I ever encountered in Germany or the US. We were left stranded in Moab with a broken air suspension, a niche Volkswagen part that required specific expertise. Ben not only knew exactly what the issue was, he helped us diagnose it via phone, and also squeezed us in to get us back on the road as soon as possible! As previous reports also confirm, he is going above and beyond. I should probably ship my Audi 80 from Germany, too!

Five stars isn’t enough for Ben and Lamberson Auto Sport. I’ve dealt with a lot of shops over the years, and Ben is easily the most genuine, knowledgeable, and customer-focused mechanic I’ve ever met. I was in the middle of a big DIY job on my 2016 Audi A7 (PCV, water pump, thermostat) and after reassembly the car would start a couple times and then wouldn’t start at all. I thought I had completely messed it up. I called around to a bunch of shops and everyone was either too busy or just didn’t really care to listen. Ben was the only one who actually asked detailed questions about what I’d done and what the symptoms were. Right away I could tell I was talking to a real technician, not just a front desk. Even though he was busy, he told me to bring it by. Instead of talking down to me, he acknowledged the work I’d already done and then methodically tracked down the real issues: a broken fuel injector O-ring and intake manifold flaps I hadn’t set open correctly. He didn’t just fix it, he actually showed me what was wrong, explained why it mattered, and walked me through how to do it the right way. Watching him work you can tell he’s a master tech and really knows Audi inside and out. On top of that, he stayed late to make sure I could get my car back the same day. He even coded a few neat features for me (like remote windows) and cleared some codes from my aftermarket bumper. And then, this blew me away, he only charged me for 4 hours as a “welcome to Utah” since I just moved here from Miami. Who does that anymore? Lamberson Auto Sport is a total gem: honest, skilled, and down-to-earth. Ben actually connects with his customers and cares about their situation. If you have an Audi or honestly any car and you want it done right by someone who loves the work, go to Ben. He’s the real deal and a literal life saver. 100% recommend.
