I've been using Gordon and La Morna Garage since 06 and I wouldn't trust another soul with my 95 Defender 90. I cringe when I travel and have to have someone fix anything on my truck. Gordon is just about the only one I trust at this point. Reasonable, reliable, and a great sense of humor. So sticking around while he works on my truck is always a fun time. I honestly can't say enough good things about the guy. Totally a no nonsense mechanic, honest and more importantly trust worthy.

If I could give less than one star I would. Took my 96 disco to them repeatedly for the same problem, always paying cash money and being patient with how long it took them for repairs. They never fixed it! After my last visit to them my bill was almost $4000.00 and my rover still had the same problem occur. Not only did they not fix the problem, when they had custody of my vehicle my high lift jack was stolen and there was one piece of the dashboard that had been removed (guage cluster bezel) and replaced with one from another disco I had traded to them previously for work on my new disco. Totally shady! Would not recommend them at all!

Absolutely outstanding. I was quoted $900 and $600 for some things other mechanics were trying to get me to do. The fix ended up being only 1 hour labor, I'm emphatic at the outcome. These guys are one of the most honest mechanics I have EVER dealt with. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone and everyone, hands down.

I won’t trust anyone else with my LR4. Gord’n is the best in the business and has bent over backwards to accommodate me when I’m in a jam and need a fast repair. Prices are totally reasonable and the work is fast and top notch. Plus walking his lot is a treat for rover lovers.

My Range Rover, which I have had zero problems with since I bought it 5 years ago, suddenly started dying on me while I was driving. I would have to pull over, wait for a few minutes and then restart it - but this would happen all the time. Sometimes 5 times in a 20 minute drive, it was crazy. I also had a suspension issue, in which my car would drop almost to the ground. Rather than rushing to the dealership, I asked some friends about independently-owned shops that might want to handle it and was told that Lamorna is THE place to go for Range Rover repairs. As a small business owner myself, I always go this route first. Well, that was a huge mistake. These folks had my car for about a month combined (I had to take it in THREE different times), they repaired a few things that totaled $2200 and guess what? My car came home with the exact same issues I brought it there for. It was still dying, dropping to the ground and was not drivable. So after an entire month of taking the car back to the shop, borrowing friends' cars, taking buses, trying to make it work with 2 little kids who have lots of places to go, I was out $2200 and still had a totally broken car. I called to chat about this and was very nice and respectful about it, even though rightfully pissed, to see if they could offer any sort of solution. I wasn't expecting a refund necessarily, though that certainly seems like the right course of action to take, and the route I would take if I screwed a family out of a bunch of money, but even a rental car offer while they took their time to figure out what was really happening would've been nice. They were completely uninterested and really rude, even turning it around on me, saying they needed more time - HA! Like a month isn't enough time. By the way, we were out of the country for half of the time and definitely not calling asking for updates. We simply paid and came to pick up the car each time they told us it was fixed - so that accusatory excuse didn't sit well with me at all. So, after shelling out a couple thousand to Lamorna, we finally took it to the dealership where they figured out what was wrong with it (pretty obvious fix, by the way) and had it fixed 2 days later. It's worked great ever since getting it back. Seriously regretting ever dealing with Lamorna to begin with. So now, my very-busy attorney husband and I are in the middle of getting our ducks in a row to head to small claims court, with written statements from the Range Rover mechanics stating they wouldn't have had to fix any of the things Lamorna charged me for, in order to fix the actual issues that were occurring. This is not a case of a bunch of things needing repair before getting to the core of the issue. I definitely do NOT recommend this place. Go straight to the dealership and save yourself some serious $$ and headache.

I used to take my Range Rover Classic to another shop but once their best Rover mechanic quit they just couldn't fix anything, so I called up Lamorna. Gordon was eager to help and listened to the symptoms the Rangie was having. He correctly diagnosed an overheating issue that was really random and hard to pin down. Also, he had a look at an inoperable passenger power seat issue and fixed it very quickly. Best of all, the repair costs were about half what I was expecting from my old shop AND Lamorna actually fixed it! Can't say enough good stuff about this shop. If you have anything from a Series 1, a Defender, Range Rover of any generation, or a Disco, this is the place you want to take it! Plus, there's always some great, rare rigs parked around the shop to drool over.

Friendly and honest mechanics with a wealth of knowledge about LR. Every visit is a fun experience if you're interested in LR vehicles. They have a way of making you smile even though your rover is in there for repairs. I feel good knowing that my vehicle is being well taken care of and I won't be overcharged.

When you find a mechanic who is both trustworthy and fully competent, it's worth spreading the word. Gord'n and the team at Lamorna Garage really know their LandRovers/RangeRovers! From standard maintenance like oil changes and brake jobs to tricky, more complex issues and "big" jobs, I wouldn't trust anyone else to repair my Rover. They came recommended to me a few years ago and I would in turn, recommend them without hesitation to anyone with one of these British gems. : ) Completely reasonable in price and repair timelines too, there is a reason people come from all over to this Seattle shop.

Best Range Rover repair by far! Dealer pricing is TRIPLE or more and no one knows a Rover like Gordon. It's all he does and he's a savant! Saved me thousands over the 5 years with my P38 and I'm always happy with the results.

My Disco 2 had a jammed door lock, dropped my car off at 11 am and drove it home a couple hours later. Extremely friendly staff, speedy/ well done work as well as fair pricing. Excellent communication. Definitely will be a returning customer with my future Rover maintenance, think I found my go-to mechanic! Thanks! 👍🏼

I have been going to Gordon's shop for 19 years for my NAS 1993 Defender 110. Originally the dealer worked on it for a short period (they sold me warranty) naturally I had them fix everything I could find wrong. When I needed to replace the y-pipe they couldn't get one. I got it from Rovers North, the dealer couldn't figure out how to install it and they told me go to Gordon. They told me most reliable knowledgeable Land Rover mechanic, period. So I did. So far he has always had the ability to find what is wrong, know what's wrong and fix it. He also, when I get an idea in my head for some mod I want to do, he tells me what we might uncover.... before we start the job. A five year old Range Rover can have a ton of issues, a ten year old Discovery more, so imagine a 24 year old truck! Every day is an adventure with a Land Rover. It leaks oil in all the right places, it's loud, sometimes uncomfortable, a workout to drive and it's the best vehicle I have ever owned and I daresay the best I will ever own! Major mods to my truck include converting it to a 300tdi, rear discs, vented discs in front, stronger axles. And improved the handbrake to a more modern version. It's that kind of stuff that makes Land Rover fanatics go to Lamorna Garage! Gordon is honest, hard working, and he still finds time to counsel others and manage one of the soup kitchens in the area!

Good people work here at Lamorna! My ‘08 Range Rover needed a new starter, and Gordon and Miriam had me running again in one business day once the part arrived. They worked with my extended warranty who, due to pandemic short-staffing, put them on hold for over two hours! Lamorna’s team kept my final total at the deductible for my service plan, which was incredible considering the time they waited on hold, and they worked with the part that my warranty company shipped them which meant storing the truck over the weekend while the part was being shipped. Efficient, caring service with the customers dollar and best interest in mind is what everybody should experience at a repair garage and I hope more Land Rover owners can know that it is here in Seattle’s Greenwood area at Lamorna Garage.

I can’t say enough good things about Lamorna Garage. I was visiting Seattle from out of town and they were kind enough to fit me in on short notice to check my Land Rover Discovery. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. They did a very thorough inspection and truly went above and beyond. It’s immediately clear that they are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely know what they’re doing. The front office staff were amazing—friendly, professional, and provided outstanding customer service. They kept me updated throughout the day with clear communication, which I really appreciated. I don’t have anyone local that I trust for car care, and after this experience, I will happily be driving three hours to make Lamorna Garage my regular service shop. They were honest, genuine, and made me feel completely confident in the care of my vehicle. I’m so grateful they were willing to work me into their busy schedule. Highly recommend!
