Plus one star for an impressively beautiful historic building. That said, after having purchased a car here, the amount of incompetency I witnessed was truly impressive. Two stars is generous. Simply trying to purchase the car was a hassle; it was borderline infuriating the number of times I was told someone would get back to me, and didn't. Then I'd call in a day or two later after not hearing back, end up with a new sales person because the one I was talking to happens to be off, and start the process all over. That happened twice before landing at one that at least was consistently reachable. The amount of follow up I had to do just to get to this point was shocking. And each time, I was starting over from scratch, with no history of my prior conversations. Just getting a price and a few questions answered on the car required nearly a week and an impressive amount of work. I've purchased a lot of cars, and this was unlike anything I have ever experienced. It's as if no one wanted to sell it. The sales process was characterized by the standard questionable car sales tactics that give the industry it's much deserved reputation. Take for example, this lie about upgrades: they stated that they ceramic coat all cars upon putting them in inventory, then force a ridiculous $3k+ upcharge. My car was 100% not ceramic coated. They said they have to wash it with an "activator" shampoo as part of delivery. That is absolutely not how ceramic works. When they automatically dropped the cars price on the website while we were negotiating the deal, they told me it was because I was "about to buy it and the website was now reflecting the lower (different) price." It was abundantly clear this was not true; it was clearly an automatic price adjustment that impacted numerous cars on the lot. These are just two examples, but there were other examples as well. And unfortunately, I can't seem to get rid of these guys. Here I am, over two months later without any license plates. I waste my time calling the DMV, only to be told that they never received anything from the dealer. Shocker. Guess who had to call the dealership *four* separate times, speaking with three different people over the course of more than a week, before finally getting a call back on the matter? No surprises here. If you want a dealership that has a sliver of competency, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

He made the whole process of getting my new car shipped down to Los Angeles completely stress-free and smooth. I purchased a vehicle from SF Land Rover in September of 2025 and my experience with the dealership was very frustrating. Sales Experience (4 of out 5 stars): No major issues. We drove down from the Sacramento area and they were accommodating. Post-Sales Experience (1 of out 5 stars): Horrible. There was only 1 key provided with the vehicle and the salesman (Tarek) indicated that he would work to get me the 2nd one. Over text and phone calls, I had 6 different requests for him to give me an update on the ordering and availability of the key and he made it extremely difficult to get any details. I finally ended up calling parts and they indicated that they key had been received a while back and they didn't know what to do with it. If Tarek had followed through just once on my requests, he would have know that it had already been received. As a topper, he called me the wrong name in our text thread twice! General Manager (0 of out 5 stars): I reached out to the GM (Josh Corren) through the web site's contact page to request support on getting the key issue resolved and I never heard back from him. Again, very disappointing. Service (5 of out 5 stars): I dropped my vehicle off last week to (finally) get my new key. Cal helped me out and he was great! Very responsive and helpful. Loaner Department (0 of out 5 stars): I scheduled my appointment with a request to have a loaner and it wasn't until I showed up for my appointment that I was told they didn't have a loaner. A Lee Stafford came out to introduce himself as the courtesy vehicle manager and he let me know that he forgot to call me. If your only job is to manage loaner vehicles, it seems like it would be a basic expectation that you would ensure that a reserved loaner is available. Because it wasn't available, I had to take CalTrain and Ubers to get home and then back the next day. Overall, my experience with SF Land Rover was very negative.

Honestly, I hate car shopping. I am not the type of buyer who will ever pay full price or pay above what is considered a "good deal". Working with car dealerships around the country is exhausting. Especially as a woman. Your car expertise isn't taken seriously often times and I've been mistreated in the past But, this experience at this dealership was very different. It was easy from start to finish. My sales person was Tarek Sellami and he was amazing!! I told Tarek Sellami what I felt was a good deal and what I'd pay based on market information and what other dealers were offering and he didn't waste my time trying to talk me out of all the research I already did. He heard me and took me seriously and worked to get me the deal/value I wanted. He showed he wanted my business and was extremely communicative and available to not only get the deal done, but even helped me secure a shipping company. He sent me the best videos and pics of the car and went above and beyond. He will forever have my business and get all my referrals. He's made my first day of 2026 start off right. Also, the time to sign paperwork was mostly electronic and also a faster process than I've experienced elsewhere. I had a great experience with Matt and Zack at Land Rover San Francisco. I live in Arizona and purchased my vehicle in California, which was my first out-of-state purchase, so I was pretty anxious going into it. While there were a few headaches with the registration process, Matt and Zack stayed responsive and handled everything I followed up on in a timely manner. Matt kept me updated throughout the entire process by sending photos and videos of the vehicle during review, purchase, and detailing, which really helped put me at ease. The car was delivered safely, and they were even flexible when I needed to change the delivery address. Overall, they made the experience smooth and transparent, and I would recommend working with them.
