The person who worked on my car took almost 3 hours to install the ignition interlock device. I had explained to him that my car was a hybrid and he told me that they were difficult to work on. He was the only person present at the shop and had to constantly keep texting and calling somebody else for assistance. He seemed to have no real idea of what exactly he was doing, and he kept having me assist with the install, which I don’t think he should’ve been doing. Also, when he finally seemed to have thought that he had the device install installed, once I started my car, the device still wasn’t working properly, and he had to retake off the inner panels of my car to reconnect some wiring in order to get the device to work properly. Now every time I turn on my car, I get an alert from my car detection system, saying that my charging system requires maintenance. When I pointed this out to the service technician, he didn’t seem to know why that was an issue and said that it would probably go away in a couple of days. I advised him that if it continues happening, I’m gonna bring my car back and I expect to not be charged for service.
