I was visiting Pittsburgh from Philadelphia and had car troubles. AAA towed me to a business that could only see me4 days or so later. Called this shop and Brad had me bring it right over and diognosed the issues by the next day. I picked it up and what a lovely gift, I wasnt charged! Kindness goes a long way! I made it home safely.

They are completely incompetent. I took my car there for inspection and to fix the air conditioning. When they finished the car a week later, the air conditioning still didn't work because they forgot to "charge it" (even though the receipt said that they checked it.) I noticed immediately and took it back, and they fixed it. When I got home the engine light and AT lights came on. It took another week and I had to bring it in THREE MORE times until they fixed their mistakes. They were at least "nice" enough not to charge me to fix their mistakes. They finally managed to get the lights to stay off, but it still drives funny. A week later the air conditioning didn't work (they weren't sure that they truly fixed the AC initially) and I took it back. They didnt even look at it until the 3rd day it was there, and then they actually LOST MY CAR KEYS. They offered to replace them, but its still a tremendous inconvenience. I am never going there again.

I had my battery and belts replaced by Lifetime back in February. They were quick (1-2 days turnaround, although I brought my car in late the first day) and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the battery died a few days ago, but it was still under warranty and they replaced it quickly and free of charge. Thanks for the great service!

Great owner, fair pricing, excellent work on all my vehicles, only place I take my cars to be inspected and repaired. Work done quickly and all work done is explained with an explanation that I can understand. Always calls with pricing and what needs done prior to repaired so no surprise when you pick up your car.

I went for my inspection and it was not a good experience. Brad who runs the place will take advantage of your wallet especially if you are a woman. My car is brand new so how much can there be wrong it? If he got nothing he will tell you need your wipers replaced. He is dismissive and comes across as a male chauvinist. Avoid. He failed to inform me that I only had 30 days to return with a new set of tires or I would need to get the process started over. When I returned with new tires he refused to give me the sticker I already paid for. I passed my emission which I got a sticker for and the state sticker he said he would give it to me as long as I came back to see him with the new tires. No deadlines were mentioned. Just new tires. . After all I wasn't asking for brand new stickers when i returned. Just the stickers I paid for and they were valid and legal just like my emission sticker. So now he would only give it to me if I paid for it again. If you dont think my experience counts then read other peoples reviews. Equally bad. We can't all be wrong. if you are looking for a place you can trust and be treated with respect (did I mention he raised his voice) Life Automotive on Forward Ave isn't the shop for you.

They are friendly enough, but I paid 1000+ for an inspection, new tires, and new brakes and while driving down 376 my rear brakes stopped working and started to smell. Luckily my front brakes worked and I made it to my destination, but my dad had to re-adjust and center my brakes. I haven't had issues with the brakes since. I was unfortunately worse off on the road after inspection. Wouldn't really recommend.

Repairs were quick, and they've fixed everything we've taken to them for much less than expected. Specifically, we had our A/C and heating unit melted together and were told it alone would cost $900. Lifetime Auto did the job, plus oil change, plus lights all replaced for $700. Really appreciate these people.

My Tire sensor system wasn’t working. Was Told a new Tire sensor would fix my problem and they would order me new one. Stopped back 3 times until they finally ordered part. Once Tire sensor was installed still showed as not working. Refused to issue refund. May consider going to magistrate to seek remedy

I have been a customer for approximately 5 plus years. Lifetime has been my go to when I needed any service for the three vehicles that I have. My last vehicle was a labor of love for me and Brad and his service staff knew that. We finally got it complete and I'm happy to have worked with Lifetime to get it right and road ready. It was difficult to get parts and it had some other issues that they had the patience to work with me to get it repaired. I recommend Lifetime auto to anyone that has or is in need of service. Great shop and great staff.

I needed to do a State Inspection on my car and went here. It took a few days for a control arm replacement and costed $1000+ which is alittle ridiculous. The next day I drove my car up to Buffalo for a job and the ride there wasn’t pleasant at all. Steering Issues, Lights blinking about my car is in ruff shape and louder than normal. Which angered me and could’ve got me into a accident. Luckily I made it up to Buffalo and back which is good but this place just messes up your car!

I have used Lifetime Auto twice in the last 6 months. Both times they fixed my car in one day. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is welcoming.

Needed an inspection and oil change, but my regular mechanic just retired so I figured I’d bring my car to the nearest spot for now. Big mistake! They told me I needed all new brakes and rotors to pass inspection and quoted me a little over $1000. That didn’t sound right to me so I called around and decided to bite the bullet and take my car across town to a recommended spot. Mechanic calls and asks “is there a reason you want all new brakes and rotors?”, I tell him the spot up the street told me I needed them to pass inspection. He nearly spat his coffee out- my front brakes and rotors were like new (rotors were still factory since it’s a low mileage vehicle). He said my back brakes and rotors were more worn than the front but that he would happily pass the car as is and recommend new brakes in a year or two. He felt it was so egregious that he asked me who told me I needed new brakes and rotors- don’t go to Lifetime!!! Save yourself the trouble and go to Allegheny Motors in Etna.

All I needed was a simple alignment and was told it would take an hour. 3 hours later, it was ready. A couple days later, the problem came back worse. They tried blaming it on my tires (which are not that bad) I took it to another shop (because I didn't want these clowns touching my car again). The other auto shop showed me that they didn't even tighten everything down! Dangerous! Stay away from this place!!

They installed a bum alternator in my vehicle. I took it back the next day since I felt that the air-conditioning was off and something was wrong with the power. They had it for, quite literally, all of 20 minutes, when they called me back and told me there was nothing wrong with my car. Suffice it to say, it was a bad alternator, and I found better service at another mechanic who took my concerns seriously.

On a trip through Pittsburgh, the clutch on our old VW failed. After a tow to Lifetime, the guys there replaced it for a reasonable price. We were back on the road within a few days. If I lived in the city, I would trust my car repairs to them.

I've been going to Lifetime and Brad for over 10 years now, taking a slew of vehicles (foreign and domestic). Their service is always impeccable, the turn around is quick, and the prices are quite reasonable. The quality and convenience of this location is wonderful considering most dealerships are located outside city proper.

They told me my leaky front tire leaked around the rim and re-seated it. Unsuccessful. I took it back and they looked again. They sent me on my way, but put the front tire onto the rear axle (no idea why they even touched the rear). Now I have a leaky rear tire and out-of-balance tires on both front and rear. If these problems appear with a minor repair, would you trust them with something significant -- not I!

I would highly recommend Lifetime Auto Brad has been so helpful and Joe one of their mechanics is very informative and I was very happy with his work. And believe me I can't say that about other mechanics that I have been to. I have a garage 2 minutes from where I live. I would rather drive the extra distance to Lifetime Auto because they are worth it !

My car was towed here with a bad distributor. When I got my car back, the gauge cluster did not work. I checked into it, and found the check engine light bulb missing. The car was throwing codes because, instead of simply removing a spring clamp, whoever worked on my car chose to snap off the hose connector. That was the first and last time I took my car there.

We had our car towed to this shop as the engine was knocking. When the tech called me to tell me that the repairs were going to be over $4K, I told him that I was going to have the vehicle towed to my home and that I needed time to coordinate with my wife and the tow company to arrange the pick-up. At no time did they tell us verbally or in written form that they charge a $100 per day storage fee. When my wife went to get the car and have it towed, they strong-armed her for the storage fees and would not release the car to her without paying for them. This is not how you do business, and it is probably why their lot was mostly empty. In fact, per the Federal Trade Commission, they broke the law: all ancillary fees, like a storage fee, need to be disclosed in full to the customer IN ADVANCE - not at point of sale. Had they told us day one of the fees, we would have made every effort to get the car towed the same day. They didn't, and would rather charge their customers. In fact, mechanics are legally allowed to hold your car ransom if you do not pay for the services they charged you in full, and this shop took advantage of this law strong-arming my wife into paying for the fees. I will take this down if and when they refund me the $400.00 that they owe us. Do not go here - if this is how they "nickle and dime" people over storage fees, imagine all of the "work" that they are charging customers that are simply fabricated ancillary fees. And what's worse is that they will hold your car until you pay in full! Take your car somewhere else and do not trust this shop. UPDATE: I contacted the Better Business Bureau who informed me that Lifetime Automotive refused to discuss my claim, which tells you everything that you need to know about this business. Their BBB report will take a negative hit for the next 3 years, all because they refused to reimburse me for fees that should never have been charged in the first place. They can hide behind the Mechanics Lien, but they can't hide how poor their customer service is. Shame on them.
