★★★★★ M&G Automotive earned my trust and is the definition of what a 5 star business should be! Let me start off by saying I'm new to the area and wanted to find a reputable mechanic. Well, after some quick Googling I found this highly rated shop with 4.9 stars and 139 reviews at the time. Definitely an easy decision to give them a try. I called and spoke with Trent over the phone to inquire about getting my brakes looked at due to a creaking noise coming from the front at low speeds when braking. I was glad to hear they could look at my car the very next day, and I dropped it off in the morning before they opened (key drop slot on the door). Later that morning Carmen called me to discuss what they found. As I expected, all four brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced (pads were down to 2mm), but the noise was coming from some odd flat spot I believe. He also suggested a handful of other 100k mile services that I respectfully declined, as I had done most of them myself at home already. Carmen was very patient with me over the phone and answered all my questions about what parts they would use and their labor rates. I was happy to hear they only use premium parts, and the labor rates varied based on the age of the car. This was the first time I heard this, but it made sense because older cars generally have more rust that make them harder to work on! They were able to complete the brake job by the end of the day, and when I came to pick up the car I found out they also included some sort of roadside assistance package which was very nice. So a day or so went by and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a follow up text from Carmen on the work they did. This was also a first I never heard of before from a mechanic. At the time I hadn't do any highway driving since the repairs - so everything seemed fine. Then the weekend came and I realized there was a slight shimmy at 75mph! It must have been from the work they did because prior to the brake job there was no shimmy. The next morning I replied back to Carmen about the shimmy and the next day, with no questions asked, they were able to check it out. Turns out the front left tire was out of balance and they made the necessary adjustments. I was worried the whole time they would charge me for the follow up visit, but they did not! Which is what I expected since the car didn't have a shimmy prior to the brake job. My experience using M&G Automotive was very impressive, and I will certainly be returning in the future for repairs and automotive advice! Thank you, Eric
