Came in as a walk-in today to get my tire patched, after a nail was causing an air leak. Even though there were 7 cars ahead of me Tyrese recognized my urgency and was able to squeeze me in before closing. Professionalism like what Tyrese demonstrated today, is why I'll be coming back to Mavis on Howell to do my upcoming tire replacement. Thanks to all the staff who worked diligently to get me back on the road!!

I scheduled an oil change at this location at 9 AM. They kept my car over 24 hours because they forgot to do the oil change. Weeks later, my check engine light came on and I learned my car had zero oil. Another Mavis location (East Cobb) confirmed this was because the oil drain was not properly plugged, causing all the oil to leak out. I was then referred back to the Howell Mill location to have a replacement done because the splash guard that protects the engine was completely saturated with oil and damaged. The entire piece needed to be repaired. I met with the manager here on November 28. Since then, I’ve dealt with three different managers, multiple appointments, wrong or missing parts, and zero follow-up. I’ve had to initiate every call, and each new manager is unaware of the situation. It is now January 5, and the damaged part still has not been replaced, and I’m being asked to drive with an unprotected engine due to their mistake. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and unacceptable service. I would leave zero stars if I could. Do not come to this location.

I came in to get a tire patched because it kept losing air. I was told they would do a free inspection. After the inspection, I was told that my other three tires were “dry rotted” and could “pop at any moment,” and that my brakes were 90% worn and needed immediate replacement. This was crazy to me because I purchased two new tires within the past year and drive my car daily. I paid for the patch and went somewhere else for a second opinion. I was told my tires were not dry rotted, were safe to drive, and did not need urgent replacement. What was described to me as “cracking” was the normal tread design. Know a little bit about your car and how it works because these places will try and tell you anything to make some extra money.

psa: these people like to scam young girls if you bring your car in. I had a flat tire and came to get my tire changed and while i was there before i came to pick it up they told me that my break pads were SO worn out that i HAVE to replace them immediately for $500 or my car won’t be drivable in two weeks. my car is 2 years old… what kind of 2 year old car has worn out break pads with NO SIGNS of worn out break pads? there was NO squeaking in my breaks, no difficulty in breaking and my car was running fine. I took my car to the dealership to see if i could get it fixed under a warranty and thank god i did because, shocker, mavis was LYING!!! there is NO DAMAGE to my break pads and they are intact. This experience was extremely discouraging and angered me so much. To customers: BEWARE!! and to whoever is running this Mavis, do you feel proud of yourself knowing you try to scam collage aged girls with NO MONEY just for a juicier paycheck? shame, shame SHAME ON YOU!!!! You people make me so sick.

I would highly recommend Mavis Tires on Howell Mill Rd. I like to pay for convenience and good service and quality.The staff is very professional and understanding, I can’t think of the male day manager that day I believe it was Tyrese but he was very helpful. Very knowledgeable about my tire situation gave me good advice. I needed a part that was not in my budget but he gave me a fair discount what all need to be done.Lisa the evening manager was just as pleasant. I needed another one of the same expensive part.She also gave me a discount.While I was waiting she was knowledgeable about the tires at the store.Sometimes we have to pay for convenience and more for good quality.

I did appointment for today 2/5/2026 at 6pm on the website using offer Free tire rotation. Come there on time, showed my reservation #95357 and was told rotation is $19,99 per tire, so total is $80 - more than official dealership. Crazy service and price. I just left.

Had a horrible sound coming from my car that sounded like a mix of grinding and screeching that I have never heard from any car before had it towed they found out it was a pebble lodged in my brake shroud did no damage. When I showed up they said that I was good so I paid nothing. Will definitely go back for any car needs that I have. Best experience I’ve ever had at any auto shop super quick and super nice people. 100/10

I really hate that I need to write this review as I have been coming to this Mavis for years. I recently left this location from an alignment & tire balance service. Upon leaving this location, I was about to turn on the highway when I noticed my rear wheel was wobbling in my mirror. The wheel. Was. Loose. And I was about to enter the highway. I was maybe 100 ft from the wheel coming off. If I had went on the highway, my wheel would have flown off and it would have caused a major accident and tens of thousands in damages. This is unacceptable service. I went back to Mavis afterwards to ask for a refund. I thought it was reasonable to be refunded for a service that almost totaled my car, however they did not see it that way. It took nearly an hour for them to finally understand my point of view and refund me. And just to add fuel to the fire — after everything was all said and done — my alignment was super off. Steering wheel was off centered and it pulled very hard to the right. I had to get it corrected by a second alignment shop. Overall, very lousy service staff and I do not feel as though they perform good work. Don’t go to this Mavis location.

I really wish I could put something lower than one star for this location. First and foremost, I had an appointment for brand new tires at 3 PM. I was told that they would give me a call when it was ready. 530 comes around and no one has updated me on what’s going on with the car. Mind you this location closes at 6 PM so I just left on my own to ensure that my car was not left overnight. I didn’t receive a call until 5:55. This alone should tell you not to leave your car at this location if you have stuff to do because obviously your time is not respected with the scheduling. So then I go to pick up my car and the guy tells me that I have seven lug nuts missing. Now, when I dropped the car off, I only had one from each tire gone so I’m just finding it odd that there’s three more gone and you’re trying to charge me extra for the three that are no longer there. At this point, this location takes advantage of their female customers. If I did not have my uncle tell me the amount of lug nuts missing I would’ve believed the men at this location and paid more than what I should have. On top of that, make sure you verify all the pricing they tell you over the phone because it will be more expensive in person. But I really had to leave this review because when I dropped off the car, I had a new tire on my front passenger side that I told them I wanted to keep as it has not been driven on long. By the time I made it all the way home which was an hour away, I see that they kept the tire and gave me my old donut. The man at the front desk also told me yesterday that my windshield wipers needed to be replaced, but don’t worry we won’t charge you only for me to get the receipt the next day and see that they did charge me. The payment isn’t the issue, Don’t tell me a lie to make me complacent. To spend almost a $1000 to deal with this type of carelessness is honestly mad unprofessional. I let the manager know everything that I left on this review and all he gave was a weak apology with no type of sincerity. Please save your money and your time I’ve had better service in the hood.

He took the time to explain the issue with my vehicle, offered honest recommendations, and made sure everything was handled quickly and efficiently. I left feeling confident and well taken care of. Went in this afternoon thinking I had a nail in one tire, turns out it was two tires. Super happy with the customer service and transparency of everyone I interacted with. There was an hour wait, but they were upfront and honest about the amount of time it would take, so it wasn't an issue. I brought my laptop and worked using their wifi. It's never fun to have to purchase tires, but the guys at this location made the experience as painless as possible. Highly recommend.

This place horribly messed up my car's alignment. I called ahead on Thursday, 2/12 and made an alignment appointment. I spend 30 min getting there just to be told that the alignment tech had left early, and they hadn't bothered to call me before and let me know to not come. They offer me a discount, and I come back the next day, Friday, 2/13. I leave my car there for a few hours since they're backed up, and I get a call around when the shop is closing that they're finishing up. I ended up getting there a good 30 minutes after they closed, but an employee had still waited there for me, which I greatly appreciated. I get my keys and get onto the road and immediately notice that my steering wheel is crazy off center. It's about 10 degrees off to the right - I didn't even know it was possible for them to mess it up this bad. The attached picture is where my steering wheel is for my wheels to be straight. I call again on the morning on Saturday, 2/14 (Valentine's Day) and come into the shop a 3rd time because they said they could do me right and get it fixed. I wait several hours, and call again when they're 30 minutes from closing, and they tell me my car is up on the lift and that it's being worked on right now. I head down there to pick up my car and see it sitting in the parking lot right where I left it, untouched. The guy inside told me that the technician the day before forgot to leave a note that they couldn't reprogram some sensors, and there was nothing there could do about it. By now, it was around 5:15PM Sunday, and most other shops were closed for the day. This completely ruined my Valentine's Day plans that night, all for just a simple alignment. They couldn't even give me a refund correctly, because apparently the corporate office was closed, and I would have to come back in person a FOURTH time. I am now at a dealership to get serviced, and they're telling me that because of the severity of the misalignment, they might have to do a multi-hour-long procedure to reprogram the sensors and get my car working, and that it would cost $500. I still haven't gotten a refund for my initial botched service with Mavis, and I'm currently waiting for a callback from the regional manager. Please, do not go here.
