I have been a customer of McCollum for over 20 years and it's very sad that the business was sold to a national service that is tarnishing the family name. My Chevy Equinox wouldn't start, after holding vehicle for weeks they replaced battery, we paid and picked up, but next day same problem, wouldn't start. Return it second time, after weeks of waiting they replaced alternator over $1200 for both events. Waited over 20 minutes to be acknowledge when picking up the vehicle. Next time driving same issue! Towed it to another shop and they found problem was key fab the same day and repaired it within days. Sent request to McCollum for partial refund but they replied that they did nothing wrong, saying I only stated it wouldn't start. They left out the details in my description of how the car was acting, which included an issue with the key. Will never return to McCollum for service.

Failure to diagnose my transmission issues led to a very scary situation for myself and my family. The owner has assured me they are not at fault, and also that they don't need my business. I would not recommend them to anyone looking to ensure their family vehicle is safe to drive.

I have always received excellent service here and I have come to expect nothing less. I came in for an oil change and they offered to rotate my tires for free! I know that I will be treated fairly and that they will not try sell me on unnecessary repairs. If I ask for an oil change that is what I get. As a woman it is great to have a place where I feel confident that they will take good care of my vehicle without trying to up-sell me. Thanks again for the great service!

Top above the line with skilled 4x4 trained mechanic and excellent productive shop. They repaired my truck after winter damages wore the bearings and seals and got me in , even when they were backed up with lots of other truck repairs to complete. Then, I added more work with schools and brakes to do as well they just kept at it and got it all done. So are, everything is working great. Truck is rolling and stopping and the waiting was hard but once they got to me they were quick and steady at getting me fixed and on the road. I will return here Everytime. They had a full shop and fit me in, then got everything done. And the changes the oil . So thanks. Will be back.

The worst. They overcharge, but whats worse is absolutely messed up my car by putting bad spark plugs and coils in. Had to take to another mechanic to fix. They did not help at all until the other mechanic pushed that McCollum should take responsibility for thier bad job....I had to fight them to fix it for days... they finally redid the work but my car sounds not good still.

Broke off temp sensor and did not say word. I spent $6000 there last year and will not be back, Tech called and offered to fix it after seeing this. I will give them another chance. Mistakes happen and they have attempted to make good.

They are professional and easy to approach. I towed my truck there not having any knowledge of the operation, as a customer. They were understanding and willing to take my work and completed all the required services to get me back to driving again. The performed many upgraded repairs and even when I added additional requested services they were easily open to completing all those extras. And the work was very well done. They stuck with this repair until it was complete. I have been going to McCollum for Almost 15 years. They have taken care of 5 of my vehicles during this time. As a Portland business owner, I am very inquisitive to what service they are providing and what the process was with my trucks and cars. I will honestly say, they are top notch. They put a new engine in my 2014 Ford twin turbo Explorer, and have basically rebuilt my 2001 F-350 Diesel Lariat.These are not easy vehicles to work on. Reed Strong has been my contact person through the years. His knowledge is exception. His integrity is solid. Plus, you can share a laugh with him if so inclined. The mechanics under his wing are hardworking and diligent, and always willing to go the extra mile. Tasha has been a great addition to the company and, hopefully, you’ll meet her at the front desk if you decide to visit them for vehicle service. Pay them a visit. You won’t be disappointed.
