This was the worst experience I ever had dealing with the automobile shop. Came in for upgrades to my exhaust left with a headache and a .bigger problem and the shop Wanted to charge me more money to fix what the problem they caused. Terrible customer service trying to get in touch with corporate and will be filing legal actions ASAP. That number that you provided is to the same store that did the horrible work to my car. The customer service is terrible there I need to speak with the owner of the store. It’s been over two months and still haven’t heard back from corporate. Corporation is full of BS.

They always try to find something wrong with your car, even if nothing is wrong,they didn't give my car the proper maintenance and also if something minor they won't mention it. Good thing I checked behind them ,will never go back there! They(he over charges) very persistent,and if you don't agree ,he have a attitude.

$1200 to replace brakes? This is a Nissan Maxima. You only have to take a tire off undo two bolts and replace with pads that cost around $70 in total. Something you can do at home and around 30 minutes. $220 for a coolant flush. You unscrew one Bolt let it drain, tighten the screw back, fill it back up with antifreeze that cost around $10-15 at a store. This is actually more expensive than a dealership by far. Nissan dealership only charged 199$ for brake pads. $1,200 here

I’ve used this Meineke several times in the last couple of years and had positive interactions with one male and one female on particular. They were fabulous. I called last week to ask about getting a bulb changed out in my headlight. I asked what the cost would be and this new gentleman replied with “I don’t know”. That should’ve been my first sign. I went ahead and scheduled the appt for later that day. I drove all the way out there and told him what I was there for. He pushed some buttons on his computer and told me it was going to be almost $500 to get a bulb replaced in my headlight. Thinking he misunderstood why I was there, I said I just need the bulb changed. He continued with…right, and that will be around $500. I laughed and walked out. Came home and changed it out myself. Was it an easy task? No because it’s a jeep and it is very hard to get to and I’m a female who has never had to do that before. Im not sure if he was just trying to rip me off because I am a female or if that is actually what they charge for a bulb change. Either way, this is an issue. If you need a bulb change, maybe go somewhere else. $500 for a bulb change. Who would agree to that??

This place is horrible! I went there about a year and a half ago for brakes and they wanted to charge $1000, which was ridiculous! Then went back for an inspection and the guy came back to tell me of all of the "issues" with my car. I got a second opinion and, of course, he lied. Don't waste your time in going here. They will create false issues just to get your money.

I had came to Meineke to get an oil change but I also wanted them to take a look at my tires and steering because I had ran over a pothole. Daniel , store manager at Meineke in Gastonia was a big help and made sure that I had a good understanding about the issues I was having with Honda Pilot. He also was a big with getting me signed up for the payment plan to cover my repair expenses. Shoutout to my mechanic Crash who really good care of my vehicle while under service . I came in this morning to have an oil change & inspection. Daniel the manager greeted me nicely with a good morning like he was ready to start his day. He always made sure he let me know the status of my car while waiting. Every customer that came in Daniel gave a big Good Morning what can I do for you today? He made everyone feel welcome. While I waited the technician noticed some things I needed to keep an eye on for my car going forward. The one thing that Daniel explained to me was that I was going to need a battery and asked if I wanted to get it today. I knew cost effective I couldn’t do today until Daniel told me about the formpiper program.. he explained it to me and it definitely put me at ease especially when I found out how much my battery would cost. I went home applied for the program and was approved. Daniel called to let me know I was approved and could get the battery done today. I went back up to get the battery done and I was in and out in no time. Daniel was very friendly and as a woman not knowing much about cars he took the time to explain everything to me and made me laugh during the entire time. Thank you Daniel for making me feel good not knowing if I was going to be yanked around as a woman who don’t know much about cars. I definitely plan to go back when Daniel is working. Kudos!!!

I never leave negative reviews because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but this one I had to speak on. I came for a scheduled oil change and tire rotation on my Audi q7. It took two and a half hours. I don’t mind waiting but I asked if it would be long because I would have left and come back to tend to my dogs. When I got my car back, immediately there was an alert on my dash that said there was too much oil in it! I had to go back inside and let them know and wait about another 20-30 minutes for them to fix it. The manager apologized and told me a new mechanic was the one who did my work. I get that everyone has to learn, but If that’s the case someone needs to be checking behind his work to make sure it’s done right. I was blown away because he had to drive my car to me which means even if he didn’t know he did something wrong the dash had it written there big as day with exclamation points lit up saying there was too much oil in it…and he just gave me the keys like everything was good. SMH, I was NOT happy.

I am posting this review regarding damage to my vehicle following a visit to Meineke in August 2021, which resulted in significant financial hardship and no resolution. I brought my 2017 Buick Encore in for diagnosis of a slow coolant leak. At drop-off, the vehicle was running normally. It was very hot outside, and I had been driving a 30 minute commute with the air conditioning running without issue. They diagnosed the leak as coming from the coolant overflow reservoir. I was advised the vehicle could be driven and returned the next business day for replacement and scheduled an appointment. Shortly after leaving the shop, there was a loud pop, steam from the hood, and the engine shut down. The coolant return nipple was found broken clean off, causing rapid coolant loss. The vehicle had to be towed at my expense. Meineke’s diagnostic photos- which were emailed separately and not reviewed with me in person at checkout- show the hose intact in earlier images and completely broken in a later one, taken minutes apart during the same visit. I did not see these photos until later. Despite this, responsibility was denied. When I attempted to escalate the issue, the response was immediately dismissive and confrontational. Concerns were rejected before any meaningful investigation occurred, and I was discouraged from seeking resolution. A claim with Meineke corporate resulted in no independent assistance or compensation. I was later quoted nearly $4,800 for a used engine with over 96k miles(more than my car had), which was presented as “help” and not accountability. I ultimately had to tow the vehicle home and purchase another car. I retained photos, records, and documentation throughout this process. I am sharing this so others can make informed decisions and take extra precautions.

I came in for a routine oil change and was told I urgently needed a brake flush, new brake pads, and rotors , with a quoted total of nearly $1,500. When I asked for my brake pad measurements to understand the recommendation, the technician refused to provide them and said they would be listed in the inspection report. The inspection report instead stated “0 technician concerns found.” No brake measurements. No noted issues. No documentation to support the verbal claims. I immediately sought a second opinion, and my brakes and rotors were confirmed to be in good condition with no urgent repairs needed. I also didn’t need a brake flush, as I had zero copper in mine. Pressuring a customer into expensive repairs without written measurements, especially when the official inspection contradicts the recommendation, is unacceptable. As a customer, I expect transparency, documentation, and honest communication. This experience felt like an upsell attempt rather than a legitimate safety concern. I strongly encourage anyone visiting this location to ask for written measurements and get a second opinion before authorizing major repairs. It is terrifying to think of how many people they probably have scammed by doing this, that don’t know any better.

Daniel was Amazing. His welcome and professionalism was outstanding. Our only issue was, the car was returned back to me with parts of my car lying in my front passenger seat and tools left lying in there. I was told the mechanic had to hurry up and leave and care for his dog. I’m a huge pet lover but I should have been respected and cared for significantly better than that. I gave the 3 stars because at least the oil was changed and due to the customer service of Daniel, however, I’ve been getting oil changes for over 40 years and that was a first, and a last. If anyone from the company wants it, do have a pic of it.

Came here for an oil change and tire rotation for the very first time and I have nothing bad to say. The manager Daniel was very friendly and the office lady was also friendly. The office was a clean environment, definitely did not smell like a mechanic shop 🤣 Works fast and was greeted with smiles as soon as you walk in the door.
