My daily driver, a beater Linc. Navigator 2008, rebuilt from salvage. Rear air suspension leaking down after 10 years. Replaced w/traditional coil spring over strut, then aligned all 4 wheels. Replaced cracked serpentine belt on engine. Was checking estimates for suspension work, Merrill Automotive was the 2nd place I checked. Usually get 3 estimates. Learned that Merrill Auto. could get me in for the work in under 48 hours, which appealed to my 'peace of mind' as I had good reason to expect the compressor for the air suspension could fail soon and leave me stranded. The work was a full day project and took place the same day as the recent high profile assassination. Customer service was first rate. After checking the vehicle in just as they opened for the day, Merrill Auto. summoned a ride-share driver to take me home to a north suburb. I called them about an hour before their scheduled closing time for progress status: they would complete the work by the time they closed, so they sent a link to my phone to review the work & charges, I paid remotely, and they summoned a ride-share driver to bring me back to the shop. They were closed by that time, my receipt was in my vehicle in Merrill's parking spaces, and retrieved my key from a pre-arranged location. Drove it home. Glad to have that work completed! I rated the charges paid for the work as "unsure" since I didn't get that 3rd estimate. However, the first estimate was from a shop I visited in person and I did not like the cluttered work bays and the overall appearance of disorganization as well as the appearance of not being clean of slip & fall hazards all over the work area deck. I am pleased with the 4 year/48K warranty on the parts & labor at Merrill Auto. Will return to this shop for future work/repairs.

I had my timing belt replaced, alignment adjusted, brake replaced, and some electrical work, done. Dane, at the desk, Kept me posted as to what was found that should be addressed immediately and what could wait to be replaced or repaired later. The cost of each action was discussed. The bill was high but, was accounted for. When I got in the car and drove away it ran and steered like a new car. I’ve been a customer at Merrill (Axel) since the early 60’s, and and will continue to be in the future.

Very pleased with my service. I took one car into have it aligned, they told me they couldn't due to bad ball joints. Since it was my first visit I thought " are they? " Yes, they totally were. This company and every person I’ve worked with in the last four years has been incredible. Only a Karen or a Darrren (no offense to those named at birth) could find a consistent fault. My car was serviced by a company in Broomfield that was pretty good, and then when I moved back to Lakewood they saved my #Lexus from a bad #transmission install when my son and I were trying to “go cheap.” Never again. As soon as I stepped in Merrill Automotive I heard a very welcoming "Good Morning!" I met with Dane and we was great start to finish! Explained everything perfectly and made sure i was aware of what they would be doing and how much I would be paying. Also very impressed with the complimentary Lyft ride back home and when my jeep was ready which was very much needed. They send you a entire report with pictures and explaining what may is wrong with your vehicle which is nice to have proof being sent to you so you know you're not being lied to about anything. The pricing was also very fair. My dad is a mechanic and when i sent him the pricing he also agreed it was fair, so its nice to know they are not over charging which is always a fear coming in alone to a mechanic shop as a woman. There were no surprise charges when i picked up my jeep after all of my work being done and the communication from Dane was excellent! Highly recommend and I will be coming back for all future car issues thank you Dane and Merrill Automotive!!

Honestly the best auto shop I’ve been to in Colorado. Certainly the friendliest staff I’ve experienced at an auto shop and they were very patient with me trying to decide on the best option for new tires within a reasonable price range. I got my battery, tires, and TPMS sensors replaced. They explained everything to me while giving me space to ask plenty of questions, it was very timely, and they kept me updated via text which was nice. Highly recommend!

I brought a car to Merrill automotive for a pre-purchase inspection. They made it easy to schedule and provided a thorough report that gave us the confidence to move forward with the purchase. Dane in particular was fantastic, and brought us out to the vehicle to make sure we understood everything the mechanic had seen, and answered all our questions kindly and patiently. Only problem is that they’re not closer to where we live: we were in Lakewood in pursuit of a specific vehicle, but it’s quite a ways away from our home. If it was closer, I’m sure we’d be back, but I’d recommend them to anyone in the area.
