Fantastic customer service. Excellent work. Reasonably priced. Donnie is a gem, as well as the rest of the staff there. I would absolutely recommend this Midas location to anyone, and I will be using them in the future for any Auto needs that I can’t handle myself.

My husband has a Lexus GS 300 and he took for a tune up and to fix a oil leak. After they returned the car come to find out they only changed one side of the valve cover gasket as well as not replacing 2 of the spark plugs for the tune up. They charged us for the whole amount and we ended up doing the work ourselves….they charged us 2500$….

I had a very disappointing experience at Midas on Market St. I brought my vehicle in for several repairs, including a new oil pan, rear passenger axle, wheel bearing replacement, and an oil change. Within just a day, oil began leaking from the oil filter. A week later, I heard a noise from the tire that had just been “fixed.” When I removed the tire, the axle nut literally fell out. The mechanic handed me the nut and a socket wrench and told me to tighten it myself — which is completely unacceptable and unsafe. Despite my concerns, the mechanic assured me everything was fine. A week later, I heard a grinding noise coming from the same area they had repaired. When I returned to the shop, they insisted nothing was wrong with the repair and instead quoted me for work on the opposite side — where no noise was coming from. At that point, I had to park my car for a year because I couldn’t afford more repairs. When I was finally able to revisit the issue, the noise from the original repair area was still present. While the mechanic was open to inspecting it again, the owner refused to take responsibility. She insisted I pay for labor on a part that was still under warranty at the time of my original complaint — and even went so far as to accuse me of lying about not driving the car, despite me having texts from that period. The mechanic himself was helpful and seemed willing to make things right, but unfortunately, the owner was unprofessional, dismissive, and more concerned about money than customer safety or satisfaction. If you need major work done on your vehicle, I cannot recommend this location. Based on my experience, they took my money and left my car in worse shape. Proceed with caution.

Would give zero stars if possible. I had the same mechanic perform work on two of my vehicles at this location multiple times. On my most recent visit, I was given a quote to replace both control arms on my 2021 vehicle that has around 100,000 miles. Estimate was around $1300. Was also quoted on a repair for both rear shocks. Had the shocks replaced. Took my vehicle to get a second opinion on my control arms. They are in perfect working order. The bushings are not dry rotted, and the pins are securly in their places. The man took the time to look me in the eye and outline this dangerous problem with my vehicle that if it were his, "would be taken care of right away." Upon further research and obtaining second and third opinions, this isn't even a problem that occurs with these parts. When I brought my vehicle in for squeaking brakes, he had me replace all 4 brakes and two rotors. Talking me out of having them turned as an option, of course. The vehicle I had him work on before that I came in for brakes and was sold calipers, all brakes and all new rotors. Can't help but wonder how much of this work was not needed. I am a single parent. I scrub toilets for a living. I work hard 6 and 7 days a week. I have a bad habit of trusting people who sell me things because sometimes in life I just don't have the information and I don't have a trusted person in my life who does. Shame on that mechanic for looking me in the eye and telling me how dangerous my vehicle would be to drive if I didn't get these repairs. I didn't deserve that stress. I don't deserve the hours of work and time away from my child it would take to accommodate $1300 worth of work that I didn't need-and just to pad that commission income. I will never be back to this establishment. This mechanic boasted working in this shop for 40 years. It makes me question the integrity of the establishment as a whole rather than an isolated incident with this problematic employee. But hey, he did say when I asked if I needed the alignment I thought I did in the first place he made sure to say, "now any other shop they'll do an alignment and they'll take your money. I am not going to do that to you. Im not going to tell you that you need something if you don't." Truly disappointing interations from human to another.

My experience at Midas on Market St. Chattanooga was excellent. I made an appointment the day before online. They took my truck back faster than expected and figured out what was wrong with my truck’s upper control arms. The cost was very reasonable and my truck feels like new on the road now. Note: my truck is lifted 6” via BDS coil over kit and has 35” tires. They were obviously well versed working on vehicles outfitted for off-road.

The tailpipe of our motorhome detached from the muffler while traveling through Tennessee. Don at Midas in Chattanooga welded the pipe back in place on a Saturday morning. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the job, the dedication to customer satisfaction, and the sense of urgency the Midas team demonstrated.

We had the most unfortunate event, I was visiting my son and the catalytic convertor, muffler and lines were cut off his car, while we were hiking. I called Midas, they gave me the tow company which was awesome, Downtown Towing picked up the car immediately and Midas got me in and gave me and the insurance company a detailed report in a day. We then had to wait on insurance inspector. Once the inspector came and gave the OK for the repairs, Rob had the parts delivered and the work was done in a day. They kept us updated on everything - INCREDIBLY NICE MEN. The service was so good that while I was in town I had my oil changed and rear shocks replaced, Don did exceptional work (I was scheduled to have that done when I arrived home) but their prices were the same as from my mechanic and they got me in and back on the road in a few hours. I have found my new mechanic when I move to Chattanooga this year, these are people you can trust!!!! You can't go wrong with Midas on Market. Thank you all. Mike congrats on your retirement, it was a pleasure to meet you :)

I arrived to Chattanooga on Sunday on my way to ND after my car broke down. I went to Firestone and spent 8hrs only for them to tell them they didn't have any techs who were "comfortable" enough to do a tap and die necessary to insert my spark plug. (I came in for a popped spring in the coil body). Unfortunately for me all other auto shops were closed that day and they suggested I go to Midas. Monday morning Midas confirmed my vehicle drop off and began working on it at my scheduled online appointment time. The tech worked long and hard to try to fix my vehicle but unfortunately (I lowkey feel Firestone did the damage) the threads were thru and unable to be fixed by a Heli coil. I greatly appreciate the tech going out of his way to test drive the vehicle before just sending me on my way. Especially since the popping sound frightened me initially. Mike was helpful in looking up estimates for a new head gasket/engine but due to moving expenses they were already out of my budget. Angie recommended me to a Pull Apart and a Junkyard. LQK Pull Apart offered me a very very great price compared to anyone in the area so I am extremely grateful for her tot sake the time to allow me to sit in the shop and wait on my lyft ride as well as the recommendation. Very kind patient people - funny as well! Definitely recommend stopping by to see them for any of your auto needs! Thank you Mike, Angie and the tech who worked on my '08 Ford Escape !!

They have been great overall. I had several things go wrong with our wheelchair van and they were able to figure out all of its issues and got them fixed. The owner was wonderful and Rob was really made our experience so much better. Jasper did a great job too. We won’t take our wheelchair van anywhere else.

This has to be the WORST repair facility( I use that term loosly ) I have every seen in my 40 years as an ASE Master technician ! My daughter in law had their 2011 Nissian towed there for a no-start a week ago and got it back 2/6/26 3200.00 later and still would barely run ! 1st they gave NO estimate whatsoever but a battery in ,engine diagnostic and found " fouled " spark plugs replaced plugs and then proceeded to put to lower control arms and front hubs in a car that would go over 30 miles an hour after my son in law called every day for a week ( they never called him 1 time ) he was told the VVT solenoid needed replaced and be another 2000.00 ( 5200.00 total) beacuse it was running rough ,ck engine light on and cat coverter glowing upon a call from ky daughter I drove down from Nashville and ran a full scan diagnostic and in 30min determine it had 2 bad coils ( why the plugs were fouled in the first place ) replaced coils ,runs fine .......after further inspect lower ball joints in new control arms were never greased ,backing plates we scraping on rotors and no frt end alignment even suggested after frt end work. I would not let fred ( the so called mechanic)or Midas work on my lawnmower, I have Pics, diagnostic print out to back up my story I plan on reporting to consumer affairs, social media and anyone else that will listen

Great business with great people. Was heading to class and one of my tires busted, this was the first place I went to for a replacement in the same day and I’m glad I did! They picked up the tires for me and did everything in a timely manner considering they were pretty busy today! Rob was extremely helpful, provided alternatives and overall had a great attitude. Edit: Ended up having to come back two days later after the first visit (getting two tires) because a nail popped one of my old ones and I decided to go ahead and replace the last two old ones. One of the studs on my wheel were stripped so I had asked them to change that as well, only for them to find another stripped screw on a different tire (that they didn’t say anything about the first time). Almost immediately after this visit, my car had started making an intense metal scrapping noise and my breaks weren’t working properly. I had gone back and they said that my break pads were completely worn through and eating through the rubber. They said it was normal wear and tear, which I understand, but I find it insane that the first two times they worked on my tires they never mentioned ANYTHING about the stud that was already stripped and they never told me my break pad grade at any point and that it was degrading, leading me to believe that everything is fine. It would’ve been nice to avoid those two extra trips. The staff at the desk are nice, but it seems like everyone could do a better job at pointing out potential problems before they become dangerous situation. $2,100 and lots of stress later, it may have been better to go elsewhere. I know car maintenance is expensive so I’m not rating that, but I would’ve rather dealt with all of it at once instead of having to stress during finals week/be scared to drive home to see family.

Always come here for my oil changes (can't beat the price). Stephen is great and always gets me taken care of quickly, he is very sociable and transparent with pricing and any issues that are found! Chris noticed I needed a new value cover gasket as oil was leaking, and he got it taken care of for me quickly! They also took care of rotating my tires as well and saved me a trip to discount tire. We definitely be back for my next oil change, and when I need new tires :)

Oh man where do I start, I and several of my friends and family visit this shop male and female. Well the main issues I keep seeing and hearing about is about a certain mechanic that keeps making rude, disrespectful and just gross comments to people about other employees and asking other females to marry him and how he will treat them so good and bunch of other just extremely inappropriate comments. We’ve let several of them slide but at this point it needs to be handled. If I remember correctly he’s an older guy I believe his name is Donnie? He needs to be addressed or removed from that store. I mean you’re wearing a company shirt and at your place of work making comments like that to women? Then just the unsportsmanlike comments about your co workers? Making fun of another guys weight and their appearances and calling all of them useless and things like that right to a customers face? I and several others will no longer be coming to this shop until he is removed. Imagine how many other customers he talks to like this. Just boggles my mind honestly. Do better Midas.

Rob saved my car and I saved thousands. I purchased a used 2013 Subaru Outback a little over a year ago. Took the car into a small, local shop to get looked at before purchasing. Inspection passed. A few months ago I had begun to notice many issues, rattling engine, slow acceleration from idle, traction light on, etc. After a small hydroplaning incident occurred, everything I had started to notice became significantly worse and I took my car into Midas as I was hesitate to take it to the same place as I had been. I had never been here before but had only ever heard great things, about this location specifically, and I'm certain that's because of Rob. His knowledge and hospitality truly is one most aren't fortunate enough to find in this economy, the field of mechanics especially. In the end, a faulty motor played the biggest role in my repairs. However, in pulling up my carfax, Rob had discovered that no significant work or repairs have been done on the vehicle since it was first manufactured....13 years ago. Just the same parts as the car had started with, sitting untouched. Many of them in detrimental, dangerous condition and needing to be replaced. I thought, there's no way. Am I being scammed? I've got to get a second look at this. I'm a young guy and it definitely didn't help that I knew virtually nothing about cars and the ways they run. I've got a coworker however who does, and who also happens to own the same model of car as I do. He offered to come into the shop with me and help me gather a better understanding of what was really going on. Meeting with Rob again, he took the time out of his day to stop what he was doing and sit down with the two of us and thoroughly explain the condition of my car. He was able to share what was wrong, why it was wrong, how it's supposed to be, and the importance of the work that was to be done. In a way that I could really understand. He wasn't spouting out words to make himself look big and intimidating. He genuinely just wanted me to understand, remaining kind and patient through it all. He even had the carfax pulled up and offered to take us to the back to show us everything. Honestly, it's a miracle I was even driving the car as long as I was. As this repair job was something that took me completely by a whirlwind, I expressed my financial concerns to Rob and he helped assure me that my money would be well spent. Do it right the first time so it doesn't have to be done again. No shortcuts, no cutting corners. The car would be back in perfect running condition just like it was new again. Rob said he is happy to never see returning customers because that means his job was fulfilled successfully and satisfactorily, a one and done deal. And it really was made apparent that that's what matters most to him. Taking care of people. Not only was Rob able to find a motor in newer, better condition with almost half the mileage than the one I started with, he was able to grant me a very......VERY SIGNIFICANT discount on all of the work being done, including additional touch ups and maintenance simply just out of the good as his heart. I picked up my car and he told me I was given a warranty on my motor and to never hesitate to reach out if I have any problems or questions about anything. Not long after receiving the car, my traction light appeared, despite the car running PERFECTLY. I figured, better be safe and ask him what's up. The steering sensor just had to be recalibrated, easy fix. When I tried reaching for my wallet and asking him how much I owed, he said "Don't even worry about it, I told you I would take care of you."
