On 12/6/23 we dropped off a ‘18 Nissan Titan to Midas on 3107 Old Denton Rd, Carrollton TX to replace the starter. The car died 2 blocks away so we had it towed to Midas because it was close BIG MISTAKE. The car arrived Wednesday night 5 minutes before they closed. We were able to at least get it to them. The next day we called to check in and we were told it needed a new starter. Around 5pm Thursday we were told they couldn’t get to the truck and it would take more labor due to where the starter was located. We were quoted $900 to repair the starter. So we call today (Friday) for an update and my husband was told by the Tech he never replaced a starter before and had to YouTube how to do it. Customers should NEVER be told that your mechanic has to YouTube how to fix your car. Heck we could have done that and saved money and time. So after lunch I call and speak to the office Manager who didn’t give me his name. I explain everything, I just express my frustrations. The manager says the tech has installed a starter just never on a Titan. I tell the Manager a customer should never know that. Who wants someone practicing on their car. That’s why I’m bringing it to a mechanic and not trying to DIY. I share that a starter should be around $550 vs the $900 we were quoted. Clearly we are paying for goggling and YouTube watching labor. I told the Manager I was going to bring this to the attention of Corporate. He responds good luck with that and matter of fact pick up the truck by close of business today and hangs up on me. He calls my husband and tells him I was yelling and cursing at him. Fun fact my side of the call was recorded since I was in my kitchen where my Nest Camera recorded the whole conversation (me not him). Not once did I yell or curse. One thing I don’t do is fuss at people fixing my car or my food. Please stay far away from this location. I truly believe they are incompetent and over charging customers. Don’t let these people work on your car/truck. We are having the car towed and hopefully we will have a better experience and my husband won’t have to Uber back and forth to work hoping his vehicle is ready like, he did the last few days. Find a place that has better customer service and knowledgeable mechanics.

NOT RECOMMENDED. I went to this location for oil change and i showed the coupon that was online on MIDAS’s website. First of all they denied to accept it but eventually they said they will apply it and did all the oil change. 3/4 weeks later my car started showing oil change light and I went to the nearby local mechanic. He said they WAS NO OIL CHANGED!!! The oil pit is empty and you got lucky that your car engine didnt burnt out. They also checked if there was some leak but there was no leak in my car THIS LOCATION of MIDAS just fooled me around , got all my money and did no job!!!

On 01/12/2024 I was running errands and my car ended up pretty much dying in the intersection, unfortunately but fortunately this shop was directly right next to me. While waiting for a tow truck a random mother and son came over and were able to help me push the car into the parking lot of the shop. Which is where the mother also stated her and her co workers use often and recommended them as well. I went in explained what happened what lights were on and the manager took my car and said he would look. Ran a diagnostic and found that the crankshaft sensor was faulty which is why my car acted up. Ultimately of course I had to get it replaced as I'm new to the area and don't have anyone and don't want my car to act up again. They were able to replace the part and got it done in a very timely manner and what I was originally quoted ended up being a bit less than the final charge. All in all I am very happy with the work completed and the immediate assistance on their part. If I have any issues I will bring my car here and have no complaints and would recommend.

Got a new starter replaced there, or so I was told and paid for. Ended up going to the Honda dealer because the car still would not start. The Honda Dealer said that the starter had not been replaced. They found a green wire on the starter that did not belong there. It was probably used as a ground. I was not able to get my money back from Midas. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS.
