Great service! I am so happy that I brought my Nitro to Midas. Jim was so very helpful. I needed a repair shop and I found it here with Midas. My Nitro has more work to be completed and I will have it done here and for any future maintenance and repair work. I will refer friends to this shop. Thanks Jim

Midas is great and I love the work they do. I only get my oil changed from Midas and when I took my boyfriend to get his oil change and his car serviced, he was very pleased with the job they did. The only downside was thw time we spent. I'm used to getting my oil changed within 20 minutes and this location took closer to 45

Brought my truck in for new muffler and explained I also had a (gas) leak every time I filled up coming from under vehicle. I suspected, but wasn’t sure, it might have been a bad filler neck. I was assured they would run a dye through the fuel system to identify the problem - was quoted b/t $30-$40, which I agreed to. After being told later it was a bad filler neck and being charged what I consider an absurd amount for a new one ($659 of which only $83 was labor) I asked the franchisee if they in fact ran the dye through the system to make sure the actual problem was identified - to which he replied NO. He showed me the old filler neck they took out and pointed to an area he claimed was the issue thus causing the fuel leak when pumping gas. But again, they didn’t run the dye like they said, and as I previously agreed upon. So fast forward approx. 3 weeks. As I’m filling my truck up I notice dripping of gas coming from under the truck (just like before the repair). Same problem still, but now I’m out $659. Also, they did do the new muffler and tail pipe which, so far, has held up - keep fingers crossed. But even that was at a cost of $416. Further, this $416 was only for part of the new exhaust system and not an entire new exhaust system. I will let this be record of my bad experience at this Midas store and do expect either a) full refund of $659, or b) perform re-repair at no additional cost to me in order to properly rectify continued problem as it relates to gas leak. I will certainly await franchisee response.

They do a alright job on brakes like they "specialize" with, but DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT take your car here for a repair. They are hack jobs and are horrible when working on motors. They ran water through my radiator to see where the leak was on my motor (intake gasket blown) and threw it outside in the winter with water left inside the motor. Which then blew the freeze plugs and destroyed my cars engine, what was going to be a $30-$60 at home or $200-$300 (with added labor) dollar repair through them became a $150-$200 repair at home or a $900+ (with added labor) dollar repair through them. When we got my car home after hearing the terrible bill cost we couldn't afford we emptied my motor of all the oil and water. (Car was full on oil before hand and had antifreeze in the radiator at all times to the right level) the car was 6 GALLONS overfull of water. And when we called and said what they had done to my car, Brian threatened to make us pay for the antifreeze they so called "USED". DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS HACK JOB CHEAP ROUTE PLACE. I RECOMMEND REZA OR SOMEONE ELSE IN THE AREA FOR ANYTHING THAT IS NOT YOUR BRAKES. When the owner responds to your comment it's made to seem like they care, I still haven't heard back from them yet. Submitted the issue and everything. Also don't be fooled by the low rating, guarantee they had their employees give the rating to my comment.

If I could give this shop 0 stars I would. From the moment I walked in the door I had a bad experience .I had made a appointment which they didn't properly put into the system and tried to blame me, but went through with my simple oil change. As my oil change was being done they told me I needed a new oil plug I agreed to have it done as my oil can not be changed without it. I had them check my fluids etc as well with the oil change. Towards the end the owner brings me fluid in a cup claiming it to be transmission fluid which I knew was oil. Since he had told me they don't have the tools to look at a transmission (seems fishy right? How can you show me transmission fluid if you can't get to/touch my transmission. That night my car started leaking oil. I brought it to a trusted transmission mechanic as the owner of Midas told me to do since my supposed to be red fluid was black when he brought it out, i assumed this was the issue. Turns out Midas cost me $500 in more repairs from them changing my oil. Their amateur technician tightened my oil plug too tight causing a crack in my oil pan. Now my pan etc needs to be replaced because they cracked it. Oh and I called and told the store owner about this to which he laughed at me, mocked me and refused to fix what his employees had broken. This is why mechanic shops carry insurance. Don't ever go here! They won't give you good service and they'll refuse to fix anything they break. I didn't have a oil leak before I came in now just days after my motor almost burnt out due to this. I also have video proof that this crack is right where the plug is tightened. Don't go here!

We went to this Midas due to our car stalling and then dying close by to this location. They took the car, and had it there for two days before we have received a phone call that it was ready for pickup. When we went to this location the manager had me step out to talk to the mechanic- who had just said it was a piston coil clip that was broken, and he 'fixed' it. Then went on listing locations of 'leaks' that if left there could be fixed, which are all locations that had just been fixed by another mechanic. The bill was 125$ for fixing, and not replacing the clip. I drove 3 blocks before my car died again.. I had to get it towed to another Mechanic shop, and was told that the clip was broken still. Long story short, Not a fan of this location, feeling like we were taken advantage of without any results. Edit------- To the response I got, I have reached out to them and was told I could receive 15$ back as a refund. Which in my opinion is not much of a reimbursement.

The work done seems to be great and the prices are decent as well. Outer shop waiting room was a bit unclean. But they got me in and out for an oil change and tires rotated in about 45 minutes, so that was good.

Very quick and seamless process. They looked at my muffler issue late in the day and were quickly able to assess the issue and provide a reasonable and budget friendly resolution. I would definitely recommend their services and would return for future repairs if necessary.

I've been taking my car here for several years. Even after I moved a couple of towns over, I still come here. They are great, fast, and honest. A couple of times I've brought it in and the fix was so simple, Jim, the owner, didn't even charge me, like this last time. My brake light was on, it turned out to be a stuck valve, and he didn't even charge me a little labor cost to look at it and unstick the valve. If you are in the area, take your car here!

I took my car in the first time and it was great. They helped me out, got it done quick, didn't oversell me and helped me with a plan to break my repairs into two visits. My second visit was completely different. My driver's side mirror was broken. They manually adjusted it in a rush and now it won't stay in place, my phone charging cord is missing and while driving to work my car began to shake as bad as it was pre-$2300.

Bobby and team at 1802 N. Larkin Ave Joliet are awesome! They took care of my son's car. Offered the car to be towed or have one of the mechanics come to him. They went above and beyond. Great prices too. Thanks guys.

Update: Since I had such a great experience on my previous visit, I decided to bring in my company's 2006 E250 Cargo Van for an exhaust repair. The van had become really loud on my last trip to work. They replaced everything from the Y back. Mike showed me the extent of the rust on the exhaust pipe and muffler. It was all original so I wasn't surprised. They had to order the parts for my van. Jim called me to tell me that the parts had arrived and to come in. Mike did the work immediately. What a huge difference! These guys are fair, friendly, and get the job done right. Thanks! Original review I had a rusted exhaust pipe and stopped here at Midas. Jim was very friendly and was able to get my car in right away. He gave me a couple of options and within the hour I was on my way home. The pipe was repaired and the car was quiet again. I highly recommend this Midas location.

I've been going here for many years whenever my cars need exhaust work. The manager has been very helpful in giving me options on work to be done instead of just trying to upsell a whole new exhaust system. My 2009 Traverse recently needed a whole new exhaust system after 4 smaller fixes throughout the years. I trust this guy and that's important.

I had an appointment at 1:00pm. Doors locked with an open sign on and no one in the shop. I Called previously to the appointment and no one answered the phone. Another girl is here in a jeep. Plate FA 2237. Jeep, I urge you to write a review as well. Both waiting. Jeep left. Truly unfortunate and will not use this business and if I could post zero stars, I would. Now it is 1:20. Business is closed.

Such an amazing experience! We’re not that far into a two week road trip and seized a brake calliper that pulverized a pad. Jim and Mike had us back on the road in just a few hours. We felt so welcomed and taken care of. Jim was just amazing. I highly recommend this shop for any of your auto needs. Planned or otherwise.

Took my truck in to replace a part. They realized it wasn't broken. It was not put in right. Adjusted it. Then didn't charge me to replace anything !? Just to fix it. Less than half price. Nice. Honest work for honest pay.

Superb service all around at this place. I called and spoke with Jim at 1 pm, set up an appointment for 3pm. Jim and Mike showed me what the issue was with my exhaust system. Jim quoted me the most economical cost for the repairs. My repairs were completed, and I was out the door by 4 pm with as good as new repairs done at a fraction of what I was expecting. I will certainly be back for future maintenance and repairs. I highly recommend this shop! Thanks again, Jim and Mike!

I have been here twice to get my oil changed and both times I have been here they have been excellent. Jim, the owner, is always amazing and accommodating. His prices are competitive and for the service and care you receive, worth a few dollars more than Walmart (it's still cheaper than jiffy lube and it's performed by people who care about their job). Can not recommend enough!
