I came in late due to the roadwork on Carpenter Street. The gentleman working I have seen there before some time ago. Tall with glasses. I want to say he’s either Spanish or Cape Verdean. I’m Cape Verdean so everyone always thinks I’m Spanish. He’s very calm, extremely kind, and super easy going. As this review continues, you will understand why I speak so highly of him. (I just read the other reviews his name is Miguel!) At first I thought “oh no I’m going to miss this appointment.” My mind was like a blender and the words left my mouth without me thinking. I had told him that I needed it ASAP because my mother has breast cancer and I need to bring her to her appointment the following morning. After I said that sentence, it didn’t feel good. That’s not his problem. It’s not fair to put that on him. He said it may take some time which I was more than okay with. It was fast!! Then I noticed he is the only one there!!!!! He had to do an oil change and an inspection at the same time. I work at a hospital. We do run short at times. I get that. It’s a lot of pressure though. He didn’t seem like he was under pressure, but I can wear that “mask” too. The patients are my customers. And he handled my appointment with care. At the end of my appointment after the other gentleman paid and left he said “and Nadia your total is on me today, you have other important priorities right now” and I burst into tears. “Are you sure?” I said. He said “yes of course I’m sure, don’t cry, everything will be okay”. I never expected that. I don’t set expectations of anyone, especially someone who doesn’t know me!!! I told my mother too. She was taken aback as well because I think sometimes as humans, we forget that people care. She reminded me that everyone has a heart, and that people are still kind. He didn’t have to care. He didn’t even have to still accept my late appointment. I don’t think anyone knows what that meant to me. So in conclusion, My only two suggestions are these 1. That he gets a raise/overtime for doing two jobs at once. AND 2. That Monro has more than one mechanic on. Especially located in the heart of Providence. Thank you for asking me to leave a review because I wasn’t sure how. I want to make sure he is praised for his kindness. And also to let him know I’ll never forget that act of kindness and compassion he showed me.

I've been to a lot of different Monro locations as I've been using them for years for the majority of the cars I have owned, but this location is definitely my favorite with the best staff. They are always super friendly, very accommodating, knowledgeable and honest. It's always a pleasant experience whenever I visit and I really appreciate the help from the staff when I'm there. The Manager here is great, super nice, and is always a joy to talk to. I know my car is in good hands when I take it here, you can definitely trust the people who work at this location to go above and beyond with the work that they do.

Absolutely insane. Stopped into the shop to get my exhaust. The associate lets out a big sigh. You tell he was happy. I proceeded to tell him my van exhaust had broken off after the muffler. He then said ok but I can’t do nothing about it today. I replied with that fine. When could you? He said well not till next week and that’s to just look at it. Ok then, when is your first Available spot. He said Monday. Ok that’s fine. Then he proceeded to say “ but honestly we probably won’t be able to do it.” Why is that? Because we only do full exhaust swaps now and not just regular repair. I got the feeling that he was just dismissing the work. I just left. Sat in my van looking for another spot while he sat at the front desk play of his phone.

Went in to get my inspection done. Got there a bit early but once my car was in they had informed me that everything was fine but two of my tires were about to blow. Got the tires replaced thanks to a sale they were having. Will go back to them

i can’t remember the name of the guy who serviced me but he was very informative. good service on his part. i found the price of everything to be a bit expensive($170 for 4 snow tires installed & 2 of my old tires recycled) but i would come back here if i couldn’t find it cheaper. car is running well.

Typically would not leave poor reviews, but unfortunately these folks do not cancel online appointments digitally - so you drive all the way in, walk up, and then find out your appointment is cancelled because their calls to you didn’t go through. I understand this is partially not their fault, but folks need to be aware because the DMV sets deadlines for when these inspections can be completed by. I would recommend going elsewhere for time-limited stuff if you are a person with a busy schedule who can’t just go somewhere whenever they have an open appointment.

Tried to make an appointment, talked to to the appointment scheduler, confirmed my appointment date and time, and just to be told by the service manager that no such appointment time slot exist...this happened on the same phone call. I even got the confirmation text from them. Gave them two strars because the appointment scheduler lady was super chill and nice. The manager sounded like he is not well. Somebody should give him a snikers bar.

I had such an incredible experience. I had been putting off getting my brakes done for far longer than I should have and showed up with a long list of probably very stupid questions. Miguel could not have been kinder or more patient. He took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense, never talked down to me, and—most importantly—never tried to upsell or push services I didn’t need. I left feeling informed, taken care of, and confident that my car was in good hands. I can’t recommend Miguel and Monro enough.

Great service from the team here. They were able on short notice to fix a punctured tire even though the damage was not technically within the repairable area. I had no problem driving on this tire for more than a week until I was able to get a permanent replacement. Highly recommended. I only wish I had gotten my tires here instead of being tied to the bad warranty at a big box tire store, it would have been 100% worth the slightly higher price.

I needed to get my wife’s car inspected for its safety sticker. Due to snow, work, and other responsibilities I didn’t schedule an appointment until the last day of the month. I expected to wait a long time but the mechanic quickly and efficiently performed the job. The inspection gave the car a clean bill of health but the mechanic pointed out a few items to look at in 5 to 10k miles. Beyond the efficiency I saw the manger coaching his younger mechanics and keeping activities running smoothly. Very impressed with the ship and its team!
