So, I debated long and hard about reviewing this company and I gotta say, I dont think they're going to like what I have to say. For starters, I went in to make an appointment to get my thermostat checked and replaced. They said I had to make an appointment. I scheduled. When i showed up, all of a sudden it's going to be $120 just to look at the thermostat. I agree, because I'm already there and already took the time out of my day to get this done - plus I needed it done before it got too cold. Anyways, apparently scheduling means nothing, because they didnt start my car at tye scheduled time. They essentially made me leave and come back - which, to their credit they did provide the Lyft to and from free of charge. Whatever. They call me several hours later to tell me that my car needs a ton of work done and it has to be done right this second. I say no, because it's a project car that was rebuilt from salvage and we're going one step at a time. They then proceed to tell me my thermostat replacement will come to about $650-$700. If you know anything about cars, you know that is RIDICULOUS!!!!! I tell them no and that I would not be getting any services done by them. They send the Lyft to get me and all of a sudden, when I show up, its now about $250 to inspect the car when I was previously told otherwise. I obviously argued this part and had them honor the price they originally told me. I then get the itemized receipt/invoice. Its then I see that they had taken the liberty to inspect my entire vehicle and try to charge me for it. Plus, the itemized bill said my quote for the thermostat was around $300 which is reasonable, but thats not what they were trying to charge me. They were trying to charge me the nearly $700 and throw in some extra work so they can get paid. Despite all this, I try to schedule to get my thermostat replaced because they supposedly do "in-house financing". But their "in-house" is a 3rd-party company which my credit doesnt qualify for. Highly DO NOT recommend Oh, and for reference, I went elsewhere and got my thermostat AND LOWER RADIATOR HOSE PLUS FLUIDS replaced for a total of $250.

Had an issue with our car that left us stranded in Nebraska on a Saturday night. Attempted to have a mobile mechanic fix the issue in Nebraska, but he ended up leaving us with more damage. We phoned Mountain View Automotive on Sunday morning. They welcomed us to have our car towed there, gave a realistic expectation of when the car would be seen (the next day) and reassured us. Had our car towed there by Sunday evening. John was EXCEPTIONALLY helpful, transparent, honest and attentative. He provided updates to us about when our car arrived to the shop, when initial diagnostics were completed, anticipated repairs and costs of those repairs, and suggestions for other needs the car may have. They did not pressure us to do additional, unneeded repairs/adjustments to the car. They spent time explaining what needed to be done and why and answered any questions we had. They also have payment plans if that is something a customer needs. The cost of our repairs ended up being half of what John had originally estimated. We had our car ready for pick-up again on Tuesday afternoon. I cannot possibly speak more highly of Mountain View Automotive, their work, their honesty and transparency.

I came in this morning for $150 oil change package and asked them to check my sprayers for my windshield wipers. I did not ask them to do anything else. I told them specifically that my sprayers were not spraying fluid. They changed my wiper blades, didn't check the sprayers and I ended up paying an additional $136 for wiper blades that I could have purchased and changed myself for less. This is the second time I've had issues with them not listening and ending up doing something I didn't ask for and or not doing what I came in for. I was really hopeful to have found a good mechanic but after paying almost 160 more than what I planned on today, I'm pretty pissed off. Last time I was told one price for service on the phone but they tried to charge me more in store but charged me to original quoted price after I complained, so I gave them a second chance. After my oil change package is complete I don't think I'll be coming back here unless they wanna go out of their way to make it right. Now I've got brand new wiper blades with no sprayers!! Please pay attention to what your customers ask of you to avoid situations like this in the future.

They did have problems figuring out my radio issue, it's a Ford what else would you expect😊, but, once they did everything went smoothly and, I was treated more than fairly by Dillon and the entire Staff! Courteous, they provide a Lyft whenever needed. Extremely happy with results.

So I had been contacting Mountain View automotive for probably a week. The person I talk to was the guy at the front desk that I first met when I finally took my truck early in the morning. I was there before they opened up the guy sitting at the front desk had long hair, very heavy set and then there were two young mechanics both of them look like they were probably in their 20s not really sure when I walked into the office. I was not greeted immediately but pretty much ignored me for quite a bit. All three of them were talking till the guy at the desk the heavyset one with the long grease hair looked over at me and I looked at him and said yeah I remember talking with you over the phone. He acted oblivious over the conversation that we had the day before like he did not even remember that I talked to him about bringing my truck in the next morning, nevertheless I wanted to be sure that it was my water pump and I wanted to get a checked out mind you I was gonna do more services because I have been talking to this company already a month in advance about other things such as my sunroof, and some other issues I had with my vehicle. The guy at the front desk told me that they would have to test the vehicle for pressure test to see if it’s the water pump I asked them do you mind coming out pretty much there was no customer service at all towards them. One kid said I’ll run out and look the guy at the desk said to sit there he needs to schedule an appointment very rudely. The guy had no customer service whatsoever. He had like no want to help me out all this was was a pressure test. I looked over and I also told them I’m on interlock. The guy sitting down with the long hair said oh well we don’t kind of do that but one of the young kids says oh I got this no problem so the guy at the desk finally said OK we’ll take care of it. It was 7 o’clock in the morning, I didn’t think a pressure test would take more than 5/10 minutes. Heck they could’ve walked out because there was nobody there at the morning and just kind of do it real quick. I would’ve paid in the money still that’s the other thing I feel like I got robbed for the $80 or whatever I was charged. I waited all day for these guys. I called a few times and got put on hold. Waited 15/20 minutes at a time . I felt he kept avoiding me and just didn’t want to answer the phone to me. This automotive did not look busy when I showed up on a Saturday morning. Excuse me no I think it was a Sunday morning either way I don’t recommend anyone going to the shop, especially the way the guy at the front desk treated people plus the young kids that were there. We’re barely coming up as mechanics. My truck never moved it spot by the looks of it they never even took it in, but I did notice. They splice my wires to my interlock, which I had trouble two weeks afterward, and noticed that the wire was split and I asked them if they knew what they were doing and doing what they did literally drained my battery and I had to get a new battery every splice the wires myself I wound up putting that water pump in the park cost me $70 and the rentals to the parts I don’t know. I probably spent 150 all I know is this is the worst automotive place that I ever ever experienced and I probably would’ve gone because of the conversations I had weeks prior talking probably to the guy at the front desk which he had a little more customer service at the time until I showed up on the day of so if anybody decides to want to go to this place please find another place. I think all they do is rip you off literally rip you off. Worst automotive place. I’ve ever went to there rip offs plain and simple everyone ripoffs

I went in earlier this month to have my car looked at and I was super happy with how everything was handled! I recently purchased a new vehicle and was in need of a post purchase inspection, and came across Mountain View auto online. Scheduling an appointment was extremely easy and they were able to get me in very quickly. Dylan, Steven, and Soren were all highly professional and provided me with fantastic customer service. Adam was extremely thorough during his inspection of my vehicle, and took the time to educate me on all the major components and systems, and I walked away with more knowledge about automobiles than I had prior. They seem to be one of few honest automotive shops who are not looking to prey on customers with intense overestimation and predatory pricing. I will be returning to them for all future automotive work, and will make sure that my friends, family, and clients do the same. I highly recommend, and I usually don’t recommend anything to anyone in fear of a bad experience, but these folks are professionals and their entire crew is nothing short of fantastic.

I have been coming to Mountain View Automotive since I got my car back in March 2024. Each and every time I bring it in, they find out exactly what is wrong and fix it to near perfection every time. I appreciate their honesty and hard work. Within the past year, John has often been my service tech. I recently had quite a bit of work done on my car, and I have to say I am very satisfied with the quality of the work. Spending a significant amount of money is never fun, but the team at Mountain View — especially "Big John", who worked with me — was supremely understanding and professional. When one of the new parts they ordered for my car came back with more issues, they handled the situation quickly and at no additional cost to me. I would definitely recommend — and ask for John!

I’m so grateful for the team at Mountain View Automotive. My engine splash guard had come loose last night and was flapping badly in the wind, which made for a stressful situation. When I arrived, they were short staffed, but David at the front desk immediately listened and understood my concern about driving safely. He also was very understanding about my need to get the car back today to be able to pick up family flying into town at the airport this evening. He went above and beyond to get my vehicle brought back right away, and the team took care of it quickly and professionally. I genuinely felt like they cared about making sure I was safe and taken care of. What could have been a nerve-wracking day turned into such a positive experience thanks to David and the team. I truly appreciate their kindness and professionalism, and I’ll absolutely be returning for future service. Highly recommend!

First time ever going to this shop, and it was a pleasurable experience. I typically don’t leave reviews, but this place stood out. Everyone was so nice and very willing to help me out and ensure my Ford Escape got fixed in a timely manner. When I walked in, I was greeted By a young man, I believe his name was Dillon he had The mechanics in the back check my truck out and get the oil changed done.
