Best Mechanic Ever! I came in at noon with overheating issues and they were able to diagnose the problem quickly and give an accurate and fair estimate on repairs. I was back on the road by 3 pm the same day! My go to mechanic from now on! These guys are AWESOME!!!

What ever you do not use this shop. They will scam you. Excuses are key for this shop and will always claim “we’re just a small shop”. I sold them a 2010 Jaguar xfr with 200k miles an overheated engine with a hole in the block which he was aware of when I sold it to him for $700. I went and bought another jaguar xfr with 70k miles which needed an engine. I talked to them and felt like I could trust them. We came to an agreement he would buy a used engine from a reputable manufacturer with a 2 year warranty in the contract. I gave him 6500$ for just the engine and labor which doesn’t include the other thousand I spent on parts. It took them months to even start on it. I stopped by during that time and almost had to beg them to start on my car. They then proceeded to pull the motor out of the other xf which I caught and told them do not put that engine in my new xf. James then said he didn’t know where that idea came from and said he’s not doing that. 8 months later the car still wasn’t done. I had enough and went and picked it up which they claimed it wouldn’t start and couldn’t find out why. Turns out it was a tripped crash detection sensor which you would think a shop could find that out. This car was issue after issue since I got it back from them. Spent thousands and thousands more to fix what was going on at a reputable shop. Turns out they did take the motor out of the other xf and put it in my new xf. So all the time and money wasted just to put me back at square one. They will not warranty my car which was in the contract because they never got the motor from anywhere they just decided to take advantage and put the motor that I sold them in my new xf. Unfortunately I had to spend another 4000 on a lawyer to get this issue resolved. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF , LIED TO, AND MANIPULATED.

About August of last year I was trying to move out of town and my prius was having problems that wouldn't let me. Urgently had to find a spot to see what was wrong and fix it as quickly and cheaply as possible. They quickly diagnosed the problem being with my coolant pump breaking, and the "official" way to do it would've taken many hours of labor to access the pump, essentially gutting the entire engine bay. Somebody else could've easily just said that was my only option and dried me of funds, but here they spent the time to research and found a much easier way of accessing the area through the headlight, saving me hundreds of hundreds of dollars. At the same time had help replacing my catalytic converter which needed to be replaced to renew my registration, and went out of their way to keep the cost down as much as possible. Super friendly and chill through the entire experience, their fixes have lasted no problems after this long. Would wholly recommend

They did an amazing job with my car! I wasn't worried about it for a second, they kept me updated throughout the process with pictures and explanations of what was going on. They were transparent with me about cost and time, and even went above and beyond by staying a little later to work on my car so I could pick it up in time for work! It can be scary sometimes going to a mechanic and feeling like you might be taken advantage of but I didn't feel that way at all, I'm hoping I don't need to go back but if I do I'll happy go back to them!

I had a lowering kit that I wanted installed on my car, so I turned to the Denton subreddit for recommendations because I prefer to support small businesses. Someone said to give Mystery Garage a try and I’m so glad I did. James worked me in on a Saturday and Joe got to work doing his thing. The prices are reasonable and they know what they’re doing. They truly do treat all of their customers like family (I personally witnessed this while I was hanging around and trying to stay outta the way). They won’t try and sell you anything you don’t need and will even try to save you money when they can. This would definitely be a great spot to get a second opinion if the quotes you get from the dealership or other corporate chain places seem like they’re trying to rip you off, and they seem to enjoy “projects” big and small as well. I haven’t put many miles on my car yet since the install, but so far it rides great, handles great, and I love the lowered stance.

These guys are great! Definitely ready to do the hard work, and with a great attitude. They drove all over town to find the parts that I needed, then stayed out late just make sure it got done so I could drive home safely. To top it off they were almost a 3rd the price of the other shops I checked in on, and we're actually ready to do it same day, rather than making me leave the car with them for a weak or so with nothing to replace it. In an area filled with shady and greedy mechanics, these guys are worth your time. Super friendly too. Everybody had nice things to say and were happy to be living the life they are. James and his staff went above and beyond to make sure my car was as serviced to the utmost quality. The original issue expanded to another but it was something serious. He came to my house to service my car twice and both times it was obvious his standards were high. He stayed past dinnertime to install a new starter and battery, noting that he understood the importance of needing a drivable vehicle asap! He even threw in discounts for both jobs and was fair on pricing. I could've gotten the most expensive parts but he was real about what was affordable but still good quality. For the second job, the price was originally estimated for a higher rate because of an adjustment to their billing, but because the rate had been lower for the first job, he made sure it went to the original rate to make it fair. Overall, James is a hardworking, fair, respectful, and kind business owner and mechanic. Definitely hire him to repair your vehicle! You'll be in good hands.
