I love this place. I have gone to them for years and I have never been disappointed with their service. All the employees are super helpful. This place DOES NOT DO APPOINTMENTS. I have never had a problem with this, and they always get done with small tasks quickly. I have never been overcharged for a service or lied to about a situation with my vehicle. Come support a locally owned family business.

Very nice guys :) I was told at a different place I needed a whole new part and was quoted a crazy price so I came here and it turned out I only needed a small piece fixed. They also fixed it so fast I got my car back the next day :) First place I’ve been to that gave me better news than I was expecting as well as saved me a bunch of money. Highly recommend! 🙏🙏🙏💜

Called about getting a tire plugged. Was quoted price, and told to just bring it in. So I did couple hours later during lunch break. Seems like they do their best to take care of everyone. Fast and friendly service, Quick plug, water test, about 15 minutes for under $20. Thanks!

Scott is the most awesome mechanic ever. He helped my company out on several occasions and made it look so easy. I thought I'd blown a hole in the company car tire and he was able to assess that it was just a bent rim and had us back on the road in no time. This avoided me having to go to Big O Tires. Wow! We love the people here. Always so friendly and smiling!

Service itself was fine. Took my car in for an oil change when they opened at 8:00 after calling the previous week to set an appointment. They were slammed busy. I left my car there until just after two when I called to check in and they told me it had been done for almost two hours lol. I was fairly surprised by the cost of the service, as it was about double what I typically pay for an oil change. Overall they did the job and did it without error, but the cost and turnaround time keeps them from being perfect.

Neil’s Pro was recommended to me when I first moved to Salt Lake, so when I learned that none of my brake lights were working, I called them up and they told me to bring my car right on in. When I arrived, it was SUPER busy, there wasn’t really any space for me to park, and it was at least 20 minutes before I was able to speak with a mechanic (hence the 4 stars). However, once they were able to help me, the service was great and they had all my brake lights replaced within an hour!

I'm in from out of town and having a miss fire in cylinder #5 explained the problem over the phone to someone and how I just replaced my cars spark plugs and coils 5k miles ago. They had the same idea I had about how the spark plug valve gasket needed to be replaced, quoted me a very reasonable price and time frame for getting it done so did not look else where. When it came time to drop the car off. They seemed to have no record of my car, me or my number. I Explained what was happening to my jeep, and the guy I talked to in person said it is >>>impossible for a spark plug valve gasket leaking to cause a misfire.<<< This was pretty wild for me to hear and shocked me and was enough to make me leave.

This is the kind of local mechanic everyone wishes they had. We've taken our vehicles to Neil's a few times now and we've always been impressed. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly: honest. To top it off, prices are very reasonable. There's no other place in SLC I'd rather take my car.

I have only been here twice. Last month I had a coolant leak on my old car. They replaced the radiator. Everything seemed good and I had no complaints. They would have gotten 4 stars then. (Their service is not great. They didn't call when the car was done and I had to call them myself days later to find out the car was done. This happened both times I took my car in. I would have given them 4 stars for that .) Last week my car started overheating again. I took it in and they charged me $122 to change the radiator cap. They said the radiator cap (the one they put on when they replaced the radiator) was the wrong kind. Personally, I would be ashamed to charge someone for my mistake, but these guys apparently do not share that belief. I don't know if they do this kind of stuff deliberately. Put the wrong cap on in order to ensure I will bring it back in so they they can charge me again, but if they did I wouldn't know it.

Wow! Highly recommend these guys as honest and community driven. Took my old BMW in. It ended up having a cracked oil pan. Scott told me they wouldn’t be able to work on it so I went to pick it up. All the oil had leaked out. Even though they knew they couldn’t repair it, they lifted it up to show me the crack and Scott even went out of his way to add silicone to the crack so I could drive it home. He put oil in it and sent me on my way and refused to charge me. That’s customer service!! I will definitely be back with my other car!! The entire time he had a smile on his face! 🙂🚘

Met Scott, Mario and other mechanics when I needed help with 1994 Mazda truck. They diagnosed, fixed and treated me very fairly and honestly. I returned month later with 2019 Ford Edge Titanium and they replaced battery while I waited and gave me better deal than I know I would have received elsewhere. They are trustworthy and reliable which is hard to find nowadays especially for an older single female! They will be my first call for any mechanical issues I have. Thanks Scott (and guys)
