Irresponsible. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the roadside assistance service I received last night 3/17/25. At 8:14 PM, I requested assistance for a tire change while parked off I-80 at the top of Parleys Canyon in a dark parking lot. As an older individual, I was unable to manage the heavy tire replacement myself. The scheduled service time of 9:43 PM came and went without any contact or service. Despite multiple attempts by both myself and my insurance company to reach Miguel's, there was no response, and the service status remained "pending." Following the advice of my insurance company, I waited an additional half-hour. We eventually canceled the service due to the impending snowstorm and complete lack of communication from Miguel's. Another provider, G&P Towing, responded promptly. However, the delay meant that by the time G&P Towing arrived and completed the tire change, I was facing a severe rain and sleet storm with high winds. The conditions worsened significantly as I drove down Parleys Canyon on a donut tire in a total whiteout, with near-zero visibility and other vehicles/semis struggling to navigate the situation. With nowhere to pull over and unable to see any exits, I finally arrived home at 1:40 AM. This life-threatening experience could have been avoided if Miguel's service had responded in a timely manner. Their negligence placed both myself and the G&P Towing service technician in a very dangerous situation.
