The review is based on a phone call and customer service. I called this shop to get a quote on replacing the brake pads on my SUV, and the experience left me feeling like they were trying to take advantage of me—probably because I’m a woman. When I asked for pricing, they told me they “charge per axle,” which is vague at best and misleading at worst. My SUV has two axles but four brake calipers, so depending on how they decide to interpret their own wording, the price could be completely different. A reputable shop should clearly state whether the quote is for front brakes, rear brakes, or all four wheels, not use confusing language that leaves room for surprise charges. It really felt like they assumed I didn’t know how my car works and were hoping I wouldn’t question their pricing. This kind of shady communication is exactly why people don’t trust auto shops. If you want honesty and transparency, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
