Needed to get my tires checked really quickly around the holiday season. Brianna at the front desk was hauling this whole operation on her back. She was so nice and did so much. I hope she has a good Christmas.

I try not too be too quick to judge a place on one experience but both times I have been here I have had an unbearably long wait time (2 1/2-3 hours for something that typically takes an 1.5 at most). Not only that, but I went in to get a few things checked out and I was told it was urgent that I get it done and replaced. Went to another auto body shop to get a second opinion only to find out that was not the case and it wasn’t even in need of repair and their estimate was outrageous for what I could have done for nearly 1/3 price less anywhere else.

I guess when they tell you first come first serve, it’s BS when a buddy comes they just bump you out of line. Got there 25 minutes early to make sure I was first. Then someone’s buddy pulls up. And gets to go right in. The girl behind the desk was so nervous when asked about it and you could tell she knew it was wrong! Still doesn’t make it right! Disappointed in northstar again. Seeing I didn’t buy my last vehicle there a month ago. After my dealer and I settled in a price they tried adding a $4000 above msrp fee. Thanks great work:/

Needed to get my daughter's car in for an ailment after a tire company didn't honor my appointment and Tessa at the Northstar Quick Lane got me in abd got it done in under 2 hours. I am very grateful and appreciate all the staff at Northstar Quick Lane.

An updated review, from 5 stars to 1: I was informed that my 2012 Dodge Journey 4wd, had a "bent frame" that was causing alignment issues that resulted in my back tires being shredded. 6 weeks after they installed 4 brand new tires and performed an alignment on my vehicle, and informing me that the rear driver's side tire would wear "unevenly over time" due to my "bent frame," my tires were down to the wire. In 6 weeks. I took my car to a local repair shop/dealership, Von Holzen's in Ashland, WI, where they informed me that my car absolutely did not have a "bent frame." Dodge Journeys have a unibody, not a frame. Upon lifting my car to inspect its alignment, they discovered that my suspension was entirely rusted out. After paying over $1000 at Northstar Ford for an alignment, new tires, and being told I had a "bent frame," it turns out that I did not need an alignment. I am grateful that they replaced my tires past close, but I do not appreciate the false information I was given, nor the fact that I was charged for an unnecessary alignment. I paid another $3300 for my suspension to be replaced, and 2 more brand new tires at Von Holzen's, and now my car has no issues. Northstar Ford took advantage of my situation. Due to their false claims that my vehicle's frame was bent, I had to pay even more money to replace my rear tires after they were shredded in less than 6 weeks. If I had known that my suspension was rusted out and needed to be replaced, I could have taken my car to a local repair shop immediately and had it replaced. Original review: We showed up an hour before close, with a surprise flat tire. They were incredibly helpful, explained the issue with my vehicle's alignment and the best tire replacements. They then remained open for over an hour after closing time, to ensure that my car was in safe driving condition for my trip home. The customer service is absolutely unmatched, and I am so grateful for their help.

These people here kept my car for a month over warantee issues knowing my dad had just died, and my daughter was severely injured in a car accident so I was driving back and forth to Minneapolis. No rental available the entire time. I was at that time up from Texas because of the tragedies in our family. They knew I was a teacher and that I had to leave for school by August, and then there sales department called offering me 7k for my 2018 low milage Ford fusion, knowing warantee was going to eventually replace transmission. They were surprised to learn I was still in the area...I really felt like they were waiting me out. On day 36 I finally got my car back. They were supposed to change the oil and rotate tires, one of which had been leaking prior to appointment. When I drove away that day within a day I noticed that the tire was low, same location on the drivers side front..it always had been...they swore up and down they did the rotation. They did not do the rotation. My advice: don't take your car here if you have any serious problem I don't trust them. Oh and so I took it there to point out that they let me pay 110 dollars for oil change with all the extras, but they didn't do the extras...and I paid them to fix the tire, which they supposedly did, but it was leaking still I would not be surprised if the didn't actually do anything but fill it up. No communication No rental available (it is supposed to be cheaper going thru them on warantee service) Lack of honesty I am having a different shop check all of it again soon because I just don't know what they even did. Rude service receptionist No humanity...how hard to fix the car and settle the debt later when you know the extreme problem you client experiencing

Treat their customers poorly, absolutely don't care at all about follow through, quality of service. Items on or in your vehicle are likely to be stolen. Reported to management....they were glad to tell me about the waiver I signed or not return my calls at all.

Very disappointed after my last visit here. Brought my truck in for an oil change, tire rotation, and a 4 wheel alignment. My appointment was set for 3:00pm, they did not get the truck in until 3:35pm. Took my truck off the rack after the oil change and rotation, then told me it would be 45 minutes until they could get it back on the rack for an alignment. Who knows why there would be a space in the time. THEN, after the alignment was done which took over 2 hours and 6 times on and off the rack AND test drives they completed the job. When I went to leave there was grease ALL OVER the inside of my truck; all over the driver door, steering wheel, and the cloth of my center console. After 45 minutes of them cleaning it, they brought my truck back around. I went to leave and as I was backing up and turning my steering wheel, there was resistance then a loud CLUNK. I replicated the noise 3 times then proceeded to go back in and tell them the issue. They ended up having to keep my truck overnight to look at it in the morning. THEN, the next day it took them all day to figure it out! Its a simple alignment! Im not a certified mechanic but I know that alignments aren’t that hard! So after a total of 1 day taken off work to deal with this issue I was left with a MAYBE fixed problem with no refund or compensation of any kind! They offered me 2 free oil changes however that doesnt make up for what happened. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE. They are very unreliable and do not know what they are doing or talking about. Ive never been one to complain about service however this deemed a negative review in hopes that others do not make the same mistake nor waste their money at this place! Absolutely disappointing. I will be giving my business to either a local shop that is known for GOOD and RELIABLE service or Driveline Specialists.

VERY angry about the bad service I received yesterday. Went in to get brakes fixed and was quoted $450. When it was done they tried to charge me $800+. When I was shocked they looked and it turned out someone had double charged something. Fine, mistakes happen, no biggy. So now it’s down to $750 which is still $300 more than what I was quoted. I ended up paying $650. I get that the quote won’t be exactly accurate but that is an insane jump to not run by me. I also requested an oil change, and now my car is having issues accelerating, a problem I never had until today. VERY disappointed and will be telling everyone I know to NOT use these service.

Worked with Danielle from the front desk and she was very helpful and friendly! I was to have a loaner car and when I got there wasn't any note stating that. However, she said she would work on getting one for me and under 30 minutes as promised she did. I appreciated her courteous service!! 😁

The price point for an oil change and tire rotation which is called “The Works” @ $69.95 is amazing @ North Star Ford! I’ve went to another location in that same area that is a pull through service for the longest time @ $125.00 an oil change including downloading coupons which was still over $100 just for an oil change. North Star Ford is fast friendly, exceptionally reasonably priced and efficient. I will continue to come back with their walk in & drop off service! They even sent me a video of my car when they brought it into the bay to be worked on. They called/texted me letting me know my car was ready. Thank you North Star Ford!

A few years ago, I went for an oil change on my Ford Escape and they didn’t properly reattach the e base plate on the bottom. It had fallen off when I was driving and they said they tighten it the way they were supposed to and I was out of luck. As of today, I had an appointment booked to reset my skylight. After an hour and a half, I called to see what the progress was. They said they hadn’t even gotten my vehicle in yet. They saw I have two young boys, who got even more rowdy while having to wait the whole time. Being that they were both in need of their naps, I had to cancel the appointment. I wish they would’ve at least told me that they were “super backed up” when I dropped off my car or at least given me a call saying so after the first hour of waiting. Not happy with this place at all. Every time has been a disappointment. I do not recommend them at all. There’s other places I’d rather go instead.

I was supposed to get tires today. I called with all the info and got a quote and appointment for today at 10:30am on November 18 after a bad experience somewhere else. I told them that. So after receiving at least 6 reminder texts, the day arrives. We bring the car in and are told it will be done in 2 1/2 hours. I get a call a little over an hour later that they don’t have the tires. They didn’t come in yesterday. YESTERDAY! So, no one checks inventory when receiving orders for customer’s appointments. They offered to reschedule but that was all they offered. Wasted time, wasted gas and they offer to reschedule. NOPE

I was a walk in today for an oil change. The person at the desk said it would be done about 1 hour. I’m still sitting here 2 hours later and my vehicle has not even been brought in yet. This person even looked at the board of vehicles to be done and then told me about an hour. What is going on here? This place has been here a while. How do you mis judge the time by this much. You need to be honest with your customer. People have plans and things to get done. If I couldn’t wait for 3 hours I wouldn’t stay. I understand I’m a walk in, but have some integrity and let me know as real time.

While visiting in Duluth my tire pressure indicator showed a tire going flat on my Ford Bronco. I luckily stopped at the Quick Lane and got right in where they found a nail in it. So after fixing the tire and getting a needed oil change I was in and out of there in about 30-40 minutes. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

Had my car battery die right in front of the shop and I couldn’t have asked for better service! I got a new to me car and I panicked when it died, luckily the crew was ready when I ran up (literally) and said my car died. We got it jumped taken in and got a new battery within 30min! They were super helpful, kind, and patient with me! And complimented my car! (The last shop I went to called my Element a POS so them complementing my car and saying “that’s a nice car” meant the world to me, my new car is a Toyota FJ) I’m Not from Duluth but if I ever need help up here again I’m going straight back!

We got quoted for 2 keys and program for truck and they screw up at 1st time installed. Charged about $350 which they quoted and then they asked us to bring it back to run program again. And then they add up over $150. Only 2 keys and program cost over $500. Never back again
