My Crosstrek's front bumper was replaced elsewhere, and they installed my new license plate quickly and for free, which I really appreciated.

Took my car in quickly and fixed it so it looks and feels new again. My concern was leaving my car in a place that felt safe. This one hit all the buttons.

I had some simple body work needed. Two other shops quoted over $300 plus parts. I took it to O'Brian's and they suggested I just go buy the parts myself (to skip any markup) and then bring it back to their shop. The part was $85, and the labor was $60. I appreciate that the O'Brian team is honest and customer centered. I will return. --TimD

Monica was super helpful and responsive; and even called our insurance company to encourage them to look at the car sooner than their estimated 5 days. The insurance company (State Farm) came out the next day. Sadly our beloved Forester was totaled. Posting the hours below; and have added them to the Google Business Information. Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday Closed Saturday and Sunday Yes, they are really closed on Saturday and Sunday. There is another review out there (not a google review) that states otherwise.

This is the best collision repair shop in the city. unfortunately my car has been hit 3 times and I should have just came here every time and not taken my insurance advise about their repair shop. Tina thanks for keeping me updated and informed on the entire process

This review is specifically intended for the auto body group located at SE Ankeny and MLK, but includes the front-end office at which this POI is located. Monica at the front desk is very helpful, kind, and provides a pleasant check-in experience. Upon checking in my vehicle, it was sent to the auto body shop at SE Ankeny and MLK, where the work on my insurance claim was to be performed. This is where my experience with this organization went sour. My insurance company cited a 7 day repair, the auto body shop found minimal additional work needed (conservatively, maybe 1-2 days more work), yet it took the company over 1 month to fix my vehicle. Upon being notified that my repairs were finally complete, upon initial inspection I was not satisfied with their work (part installed crooked, forgot to fix something noted in my insurance claim), so I declined the vehicle and got my insurance provider to come out to the shop and see what was going on. Upon their visit, they noted that the shop had also failed to complete a wheel alignment, as listed in my original insurance claim. Had this verification not have occurred, the shop would have gotten off without completing everything they made me believe had been completed. Further, upon finally accepting my vehicle repairs, they provided I completed a transaction at their checkout desk for an amount they said I owed. Over a month later, they contacted me by phone and said I actually owed them more money. I did the math and agreed with this conclusion, however am concerned about the future of their accounting practices. They issued me a debt collections letter, and within their letter they wrote they had been trying to take my sensitive financial situation into consideration but needed payment ASAP. We never made ANY arrangement, nor talked about my finances or any kind of payment plan, thus I was appalled and disrespected to see this frivolously used in a collections letter. There are additional frustrating experiences that I've omitted from this review -- just consider these headaches when selecting an auto body shop to have work performed on an insurance claim. I made an appointment with James at the auto body shop at SE Ankeny and MLK to perform a quick fix on part of the repair that wasn't quite complete, as well as submit the remainder of payment due. Upon payment, I commented on this terrible experience and he immediately started arguing with me, citing that I don't have years of experience in auto work like he does so I wouldn't know that 1 month was too long for my car to be in for repair. I countered, and said my insurance company cited 7 days for the work. He countered, saying my insurance company obviously didn't think it was too long because they didn't stop payment for my rental car. I didn't get a rental car through my insurance company. And I was advised by my insurance company to tell this organization otherwise so that they wouldn't take too long to perform the repairs. Go figure! I never received an apology from James or the shop -- I just paid the remainder due and got out of there. Never again!

We got the door of our RAV4 replaced after an accident. They were lovely. Worked efficiently and effectively, and fixed everything up in a timely manner. Definitely got our car back in a better condition than we dropped it off in.

How do you describe fantastic customer service, timely repair and a fair price? O'Briens East Side Autobody. The communication between Mike, Doc, Teresa and myself made me feel I could trust what my car was going to have serviced was necessary and would be done well. I don't want another ding in my vehicle, but I it it was to need repair - I'd head right for O'Brien.

I brought my Subaru here after it was rear-ended. The lack of reviews had me hesitant, but Monica (sp?) immediately made it obvious that I made the right choice. I was dealing with hassle from the insurance company and within minutes it was all handled and I was on with my day. She assured me that I’d be getting factory Subaru parts and that my rental car would be covered the whole time. Have my car back and it looks great! Thanks again!

This review is for the Subaru of Portland Body Shop (they have an A-board with the name O'Brien on it out front: 130 SE Grand, but the entrance is on SE Ash between MLK and Grand). I had a GREAT experience with this body shop. Spencer got my car in immediately and Doc was communicative and got me checked out and even helped with a follow-up question. I went through my auto insurance, so at first I tried to go with two different garages that my insurance says they work with. Both of those garages were difficult and non-communicative. Avoid having that experience by working with Spencer, Doc, and the Subaru of Portland Body Shop. You'll be glad you did.

Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Tina Delgado at the O'Brien/Subaru body shop. My wife was recently involved in a hit and run incident that required our rear passenger door to be completely replaced and I couldn't be happier with the service and communication that Tina provided during this process. After Tina received our vehicle she provided a swift estimate and submitted it to our insurance company - who then proceeded to drop the ball big time. They were super slow to return my calls (yes, I had to chase them after submitting a claim/police report/etc), it took them almost three weeks to get their estimator to do a comparison and finally get the work approved, and they just really made me feel like I didn't matter. Tina, on the other hand, would call me frequently to check up on things, and continued to put the heat on insurance as best she could to get this show on the road. Once things finally got rolling with the repairs she was constantly giving me status updates, and setting realistic expectations on when the car would be ready. As a family of four with one vehicle we were counting on her, and she made it overwhelmingly clear that we were a priority. Thank you again, Tina, for being such a good person and a true professional. You've earned a customer for life over here.

I went to the Wentworth East Side Auto Body (entrance located at intersection of Martin Luther King Blvd and Ash Street, not Stark street. Not sure of the difference between these two). My 2006 Subaru Legacy needed a new windshield because the old windshield was leaking water. I had a really great experience with Toby at this location. I rolled in around 4:30pm with my windshield problem. Toby immediately came over and asked me about my vehicle. He assured me that he would order the windshield that evening so that I could come in the following morning to get the windshield replaced. I came in at 10:30 the next morning to drop my car off. Toby took the old windshield off my car and even texted me 4-5 pictures of where the exact leaks in the old windshield were. I really appreciated this extra touch--it was great to see exactly where my car's issue was. By 3pm, the windshield was replaced. The price was good for a windshield replacement ($325, including all parts and labor). I was especially impressed by how quickly the problem was resolved (came in at 4:30pm one day and my car was fixed by 3pm the next day!). I also was impressed by Toby's attention to detail by sending me the pictures and how nice he was to work with. He really cared about me and my car! Thanks East Side Auto Body, I will be coming back!

Most of the reviews for this body shop are fake. Stay away from this place. Tina is pushy, passive aggressive, and difficult to talk too and work with while badmouthing other shops in the area. She outwardly called Leif's auto body "run by a crook" I Had a minor follow up issue with a vehicle after another body shop missed replacing some door hinges. After a agreeing to work on the vehicle they created a massive ruse by intentionally ignoring me, followed by continuously reminding me that working on the vehicle would be breaking their policy to someone else it's not every policy. I simply tried to defuse the situation and they made it even worse way of not having to follow through on the agreement to work on the vehicle. The shop is owned by O'Brien auto group. I'm staying away from this auto group like it's the plague because every single aspect of dealing with them and their businesses has been atrocious. Including Subaru of Portland and also Toyota of Portland. The manager, Doc, has a poor professional demeanor and a poor understanding of how professional service and communication.
