Do not go to this place for anything! They are incompetent of doing something as simple as a battery change. This is one of the services that they offer free of charge. Meanwhile, the technicians that they hire do not know that positive is red terminal and negative is the block terminal, causing my wiring to burn up. Now turns out that the fuel pump is also not working, and the truck won’t drive. Makes sense that I have been driving it for the last year and not one time have I had problems with this. Their corporate people have no sense of direction either in getting the repairs taken care of when we were originally told that they would be footing the bill.

Don’t go to OReilly to get a battery for your car. Go across the street to Costco and get one for about half the price. $170 vs $285 no tax.

I'm very grateful to the staff at O'Reilly Auto Parts in McKinney. My battery died while I was out shopping, and although I was able to get a jump-start, it was clear to me that there was a problem with my battery. I called around for a new one, and O'Reilly was the first place that had the one I needed. The gentleman on the phone agreed to hold aside the last battery in the store. Then he offered to install it in my car! What a service! I highly recommend this location. The staff are professional and helpful, the value of which cannot be calculated.

Man, I used to enjoy this store quite a bit. I've bought a ton of parts here, and generally have had good experiences (hence, 2/5 instead of a well-deserved 1/5). That is, until I placed an online order and attempted to pick it up here. The associate, a completely clueless drone, swore up and down that my order status, as stated by O'Reilly, was incorrect, and that my parts were, in fact, not ready for pickup. He didn't bother looking around for them, nor did he bother to be corrected regarding my unusual last name's spelling, despite my informing him he had it wrong and that's why the system could not find it. He went as far to tell me, in a disrespectful nature, that I probably had it shipped to a different store, despite me showing him the online receipt clearly showing this store. Eventually, I happened to spot a few boxes by the front window, and asked if that was my order. Once he felt like moving with a sense of urgency, he discovered it was my order, handed over the prepaid items, and sent me on my way. This rude placeholder was perfectly willing to let me leave without my items, without even actually looking for them. Terrible, terrible experience. Maybe I'll give them another shot one day.

The staff here is truly incredible. I practically only shop here when it comes to anything car related because they are just so helpful. They aren't looking to force sales and genuinely try to help you fix what issues you have. At my most recent visit, Joseph was able to help me find what I was looking for and gave me all the information I needed on my broken horn even though I didn't end up purchasing anything on this visit. Excellent customer service!

No respect to the customers. I came in to buy the parts I needed. During checkout, the guy picks up the phone and starts talking and checking the caller's parts. Meanwhile, I’m standing and waiting, even though I came in first and was ready to pay for the parts. There was no one else to assist me. I left the store and went to the AutoZone close by. Well, in a first, I was refused oil disposal. I came in today and bought 3 quarts of redline 70w75 gear oil and said Im doing a drain and fill and would be bringing the fluid back. Came back with the fluid with a clear container, with some paper towels in it, and was told the oil is now contaminated. I've never heard anything more ridiculous in my life. This is the first and only time anywhere has ever said anything like this. Ive used this location to recycle oil multiple times, using oil I purchased from this location. They told me to contact the city to find out what I need to do with it because they can't recycle oil from a clear container because it's "contaminated" Will never goto this location again. I spent $100 today and I can't even dispose of the fluid? That is petty and lazy. They dont even dump the oil. I do. Drain the oil out of the bottle and dispose of the rags. I've never experienced this before anywhere. Ive brought in fluids in containers like this before and never heard a word. They want you to buy their fluids but are too petty to recycle the oil that you drain. Again, never in my life have I been told "the oil is contaminated". If that was the case, nobody would he able to recycle any oil. I just went to this location on HWY 380 W, Mckinney, TX, at 6:30pm, 7-21-25. The staff on hand were not staff I encountered this morning when I placed an order for the 3 quarts I bought. Again, this has never happened here or any other automotive parts or SHOP before. If youre too petty to recycle oil, you might as well not even be in business.

If you want to spend your money at a place that has genuinely good and honest people working there, don’t come here because you won’t find that here. Manager Demond assisted me with identifying the coolant that was compatible with my car on the cash register screen display, revealing the choices and prices available to me. I requested the most economic option and he selected the opposite for me and when I asked for his confirmation if the one he brought to the check out was truly the cheapest one, he dishonestly reassured me that it was. I don’t know if he was compelled to challenge my intelligence or whatever wickedness and evil of prejudice and discrimination possessed him to take the actions he did. I can not imagine that as the manager, he employs or trains any of his staff better how he conducted himself today. I’d highly recommend researching and verifying products compatible for your car yourself prior to ever requesting assistance from anyone and purchasing here and even maybe visiting absolutely any of the nearby auto parts and products retailers nearby as there are a multitude of options in the immediate area and take precautions and proactive measures to prevent yourself from getting swindled and robbed by a place that operates with greed and corruption.

Talk about excellent and fast service! I was replacing my brake and license plate bulbs, which were stuck on pretty good. I finally pulled up to O'Reilly s and Demond was behind the counter. Before I finished opening the door, I received a warm welcome. He proceeded to step outside and quickly loosen up the brake lights. We went inside to tackle the license plate bulbs, and Moe, who was now finished assisting another customer, came and together they worked at loosening the stubborn bulbs. Great team work, great customer service, and a job well done! Highly recommend this location! Thank you!

Never knew you could price match a battery. I would of been useful if MOE could of mentioned that knowing I was struggling with a sudden dead battery. I get wanting to make more money but having human decency to help save someone 30 bucks off of 300 purchase goes a long way in today's times. Not sure if MOE just didn't want to take the extra time to fill out a few more steps but his customer service showed. O'Reilly was never my first choice but out of desperation you go with what is closest. Next time I will sacrifice more of my time just to avoid this store.

Name demand I can honestly say any question that I had. He had an answer for me. I appreciate everything that he helped me with that he has done for me. I even had to go back several times that day. He was pleasant, he took us time. Patient and I appreciate everything. The mind has done for me on February The twelfth at exactly eight fifty six am so just know I will always go back to this store 3800. West university drive. He also greeted me as soon as I walked through the door with the good morning. How's your day that right? There says a lot about a business. Thank you.
