I don't usually write reviews, but these guys really took care of me so I feel they deserve the shoutout! I am in the process of rebuilding and beefing up my EJ255, trying to find the right UEL headers was posing to be a nightmare, nobody had them, and with back orders, there was no way I'd have them in time for my build. After trying about 10 different places, including Tomei directly, I tried Oakos, and man did I score! I think I got the last set of UEL Tomei headers in the US right now, and not only did he not charge me shipping, but the gentlemen that helped me has it here NEXT DAY. The staff was super friendly, and helpful, the order was fast and easy without any complications, they even matched the lowest price on the net. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better shopping experience!

Normally I would give these guys 5 Stars because Ive dealt with them before and orders would get processed and shipped correctly, however this time around I feel as though I'm getting the shaft. Ordered some front brakes for my vehicle - order processed and shipped quick which is something to expect from them however the front brakes that came are incorrect fitment for my vehicle. I immediately reached out through phone call and emails to try and correct issue and now it seems as though I am talking to myself through email trying to get a response on return information. I did my own research and reached out to the manufacturer of the brakes I received and confirmed that model of brakes I was sent are incorrect for my year vehicle. Originally I wanted to have company just exchange for different model of brakes but with no responses I now had to find a different vendor to find the correct model brakes for me since my vehicle has been down for the last week. Still waiting on return information as we speak as I have these brakes packaged up and ready to go. When the orders are correct, its great and again I understand everyone makes mistakes but being in the field of customer service, I also understand that when you make a mistake, you make sure you try your best to correct it for the customer. Making a customer wait and barely responding when it comes to a return/exchange issue is very unprofessional. Lesson learned.

Awesome company to deal with, I ordered a header that was on back order for the 2 and 1/2 months I waited they kept up up to date on what was going on. They were always friendly and offered to set me up with a different header to speed thing along. Once I decided to go that route it only took 1 day to get my header. They don’t try to sell you stuff you don’t need, and they actually take the time to explain why some parts are better for your car than others. I’m working on a build, and they spent a ton of time helping me figure everything out. It’s clear they know their stuff and actually care. What really stands out is how easy they are to work with. They’re super friendly, always pick up the phone, and keep you in the loop about your order. Unlike a lot of places that seem to lie about what’s in stock, Oakos is straight up. I’ve been a customer of Oakos for a few years now. When rebuilding my EJ, I chose Oakos to buy parts from because they are local and I’d had good experiences doing business with them. That all changed when I ordered the wrong cam bolts and went back to Oakos to ask for an “exchange” for the correct cam bolts. I wasn’t asking for a refund, I was asking for an exchange on a part that they had in stock, and I would pay the difference in cost, which was about $5. The cam bolts were never installed, they were still in the package when I noticed that they were the wrong bolts. I was told that my order was outside of the 30 day return window and they would not do the exchange, their remedy was I could just buy the correct set of cam bolts. This makes zero sense from a customer care point of view. I’ve spent a couple thousand dollars with you, and you won’t do an “exchange” on a $50 part? So, it’s fine when I’m spending money but when I need you to do a simple exchange, Oakos can’t help? Not only did they refuse to help, but they gave me an email to the sales department to see if they could work something out, they never even responded to my email, complete silence. That tells me all I need to know about what Oakos thinks about me as a customer. I just wanted to share my experience with others so you won’t be surprised when it’s you. I’ve already purchased the cam bolts from another Subaru parts supplier, there’s plenty to choose from in this market space. I won’t be doing any more business with Oakos. It’s a shame, but it’s the way it is. UPDATE: After repeated attempts to contact me from Oakos, I finally responded and spoke with Michele in sales. After she listened to my experience with my part exchange, she assured me that Oakos does not treat their customers that way and apologized for the hassle. I had already bought the cam-bolts from another supplier, so, she gave me an in-store credit for the amount of the cam-bolts. She did all she could to make it right with me, and I appreciated that. She also gave me her direct number if there is ever any issues going forward. Oakos should recognize that Michele adds great value to their company because she saved them a customer. I will do business with Oakos because of her efforts. I hope that internally, Oakos gets everyone on the same page.
